My husband and I have eaten here several times for special occasions. We came with out of town guests in January. I ordered the filet mingon cooked medium. It was barely pink inside. We went again this past weekend and I ordered it again cooked medium. It was brown all the way through, except when I got to the middle of it the lower half was barely pink. If I'm paying nearly $50 for a piece of meat, it should be cooked perfectly.
When we were out with guests, I didn't want to complain. The second time we were under a time constraint and I didn't want to wait for another filet to be cooked.
I can't recommend this restaurant for anything because we never got our food. We had reservations and were on time . We were seated at a table that was not even set. Our waitress walked by and looked at us 3-5 times and never said a word then eventually came and didn't give us water but asked for our drink orders, After 2 tables seated after us already had their water and drink orders in, she then took about ten minutes to bring us water and then asked us if we were ready to order. We had been ready for 30 minutes. We ordered a cheese plate and chicken nugget appetizer and 2 cheeseburgers and fries. About 20 minutes after ordering we received our bread basket. After about another 30 minutes we received our appetizers. We then waited approximately 45 minutes and still didn't have our food which again was burgers and fries. I then asked for the check and when she brought it she said our food would be ready in a few minutes (not sure what that meant) but I told her we were full and it was late and we didn't want to wait. We paid and left. I then did report it to the night manager who apologized and removed the bill from my room and later sent me an apology gift. He handled it wonderfully but I have to say I have NEVER received such bad service from a Four Seasons and expect better service when I'm paying $600 per night. I love the Four Seasons but if I return to Boston I would never stay here again. When I pay that much I expect great service and other than the concierges (who were fantastic, Joe and Walter) the service here was as average as a Marriott or even worse than some of the Marriot hotels I have stayed at for triple the price. Would never stay here again if I returned to Boston.
Had lunch for four on a Saturday with the window table that we requested. The food was mostly good and our server was fun, attentive and had a good sense of humor. Prices are very high for what you get, but then that's the Four Seasons. I was surprised that the dining room felt drab and out of date and the server's uniform was a bit ripped and dirty, and his shirt partly untucked. Definitely not a typical high-end Four Seasons feel, which was disappointing since I was treating my elderly mother, sister and niece to an extra nice lunch in Boston. I chose it for the view of the Public Garden, the quiet atmosphere (for my mother) and its innate elegance. Only the last criteria wasn't delivered.
The menu has moved upscale (and is much more limited) than the predecessor menu at the Bristol Lounge, but the meal we had (Braised Short Rib) was divine and the service was superb! We had a great visit and will be back!

We've had some memorable meals at private parties and weddings at the Four Seasons, including our own wedding, as well as fabulous meals at the former Aujourd'Hui. This, however was our first time at The Bristol for Sunday Brunch. Disappointing is putting in mildly. For $75 per person, the choices were pathetic. Mostly a variety of breakfast foods, eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, danish. The balance consisted of a few salads, very ordinary, one fish dish in curry (which I don't care for) with only two vegetables, curried cauliflower and some carrots A single selection of some kind of pasta alfredo I think, totally dried out. A very limited fruit tray, fresh shrimp (terrific!), smoked salmon and three kinds of Chinese raviolis, steamed. The prime rib was okay and the other meat selection was some kind of pork. No potato (except with the corned beef hash) no rice, no sushi. no pates. The dessert table held a variety of very small cupcake type desserts. Not a single chocolate dessert, no pies, no cakes, no mousse nor even a brûlée. We've been to dozens of upscale early in the day buffets around the country and the world and have never seen the selection so pitiful for so much money.
I absolutely love the Bristol Restaurant!! The food is spectacular and the service is unrivaled!! 😃
Expensive brunch that was average execution. Burger was not cooked to order and was extremely overdone. Sent it back, but by the time I received a new burger ( a rare burger at that) my party had all finished their meals.
Will not be returning.

The Bristol Lounge at the four seasons is the "go to" for Sunday brunch in Boston. Table service is impeccable food is terrific seating by the window is the best. Near the fireplace even better during the winter months
Dinner was good for the meat lovers I was the only vegetarian with very limited options except soup and salad . They were generous with bread basket . Ambiance was louder than we would like with few screaming kids which made the special occasion not special !!! May be good for every day running

The Four Seasons is slipping in service. Our server had only one other table and it took him 20 minutes between greeting us and taking our order - and we had to ask for him to come back. It was Sunday at 8:30 pm, not busy at all.

It was not Four Seasons service. The bartender viciously shook our martinis, which the cocktail waiter proceeded to garnished wrong, making it necessary to remake them. He insisted on giving us the original "wet" rocks that we had requested, not replacing them with the fresh ones from the remade drinks.
We took the table directly from the bar, which we communicated to the host on the way in, and to the server who seated us in her section; neither of whom closed the loop with the Open Table reservation.
Excellent burger, which is what we went there for in the first place. Good thing, because the service was sub-par.
Love the setting, the service was great and the food was delicious. Since its in the four seasons price matched the brand of the hotel.
My initial invite was to connect with friends over Afternoon Tea - I did not realize Briston no longer hosts Afternoon Tea. The Bristol team and my friends were flexible and we selected from the menu - just a different expectation, but still a delightful time.
