we were extremely disappointed in the food at the bristol. the burger which we have ordered in the past was just fair. also, the chicken statler was just fair. very disappointed in the food.
Excellent food great service while watching the world pass by on Boylton Street, very relaxing
Always enjoy the brunch on Sunday. Staff is absolutely the best. Especially our server Patrick, he is the best.
Food and service were outstanding.
I hadn't been to the Bristol Lounge for a while, and I'm happy to say that it's still as good as ever -- a delightful place for a delicious lunch in elegant surroundings, with impeccable but unpretentious service.
Good interesting food excellent service but limited choice and high cost
The food is dynamic, creative and delicious. The cocktails are generous. A simple Chopin vodka straight up with olives fits the bill. The seasonal sautéed vegetables including fiddle heads were perfectly prepared. Our waiter, Biagio, is personable, knowledgeable and professional. When we dine there we ask for Biagio. The Bristol is s gem in Boston.
The room is perfect. Elegant yet not stuffy. Service is professional and impeccable, including the host who sat us (obviously the waiter was spot on). Good selection on the menu, even for breakfast. The French toast is unique.
Patrick was a great server and the breakfast was excellent.
Having chosen the Bristol over the years as a place to enjoy an excellent meal in an adult atmosphere, we were surrounded by crying children (they actually moved one family closer to us) and completely over salted food. Not going back. Too expensive for miserable food and howling kids.
We came during brunch on Sunday. We did not wish brunch and mentioned this to the hosts.
After we were seated, the host apologized and said that up until 2:30 we could not have anything but brunch. The bartender was kind enough to help us order a club sandwich to go with our wine. The lounge waitress was also lovely and we ended up having a very enjoyable time.
Its the four seasons....when you go there you have high standards and they do not disappoint.
Everything was excellent - we had the requested seating, service was excellent.
Been here many times and it seems every time it is less than before. 2 of 5 meals came out wrong (one burger ordered medium rare was over done and one that was ordered plan came with cheese on it) no apologies or efforts made. Wait staff changed mid meal. Overall disappointing for a 450$ price ticket. Won't bother again.
One of my favorite places to have lunch in Boston. Food and service always excellent and atmosphere is inviting.
We had excellent service and food was great . Table was lovely and I can't say enough about your brunch! It is amazing. Thank you for making our occasion so special!
First class experience as usual aThe Bristol. We have come here for years and are never disappointed.
Service was bad, food was bad and portions were ridicule.
Love The Bristol!! Both the food and the cocktails are fabulous!! The service is spectacular!!
The food has significantly declined. It used to be quite reliable.
Only one comment
We had drinks and dessert. Delicious. Service excellent
I DON'T ENJOY EATING AT A 'naked ' table top.
I want a place mat. It feels unfinished and the panache of the Bristol is diminished when everything is removed from the table except some traces of salt and pepper.
It shouldn't be that hard to do---even at 10:00 pm.
Thank you for your kind attention.
The food was just ok for the price compared to other restaurants in Boston. The location and parking were good for my needs.
excellent bar service
great view of the public gardens on a beautiful Saturday
Service and ambiance were wonderful. We come here often, usually for their delicious burgers. This time I ordered "sole". It came mushy and room temperature, NOT hot. I didn't send it back but wish I did.
Good as usual but the salad dressing was so so over salted that I couldn't eat a second bite. I would le have liked to have made a representation to the waiter but another server cleared the plate and yet another server brought the entrees.
Secondly the manager arrived three times at eye level to insist we were happy and was sort of over weening and not helpful and clearly not interested to actually hear what I might have had to say.
Great place but not the best night. Sincerely. Phillip Devlin
We were entertaining friends from Australia. We had a lovely table at windows, delicious lunches, wonderful service from Brady. We always bring them to Bristol, we all love it. Also happily celebrate birthdays there. It's our favorite.
Lovely drinks and dinner at the Bristol Lounge. Service was excellent and the food exceptional. Had a wide variety of drinks, appetizers, salad, dinner, grilled protein and finished with a lovely decaf latte. I just love it there -- very relaxed and comfortable ambiance.
Our first experience was great, good service ,excellent food
When we returned couple of weeks later, the service was less than desirable and the food was below average/average, the sole fish was dry, exceptionally small and nearly unpalatable and the T- bone was Ok, had much better ones.
The food was good but not special, and since the price was high, we expected better.
This was a special luncheon, a 70th birthday. Our waiter was exceptional, remembering it was a birthday and bringing a cake! The food was good not exceptional. The view of the public gardens was lovely. The clam chowder was great. We were able to converse and enjoy a leisurely happy lunch. To cap it off , we saw Big Papi and got a selfie!!!🤗
Fabulous! I wanted a quiet evening with some privacy and the maitre d seated us at a table overlooking the Boston Common. Everything was perfect - we closed down the restaurant at about midnight. Thoroughly recommend - the food was great, the service impeccable and we were able to have our own conversation - unlike most restaurants where the tables are so close (to ensure fiscal efficiency) that one feels like one is on an airplane with no privacy at all!
I've been here many times. Service is excellent . What disappointed me was the restaurant was empty and because I had a child of 13 we were seated near the bar and yet told "it's near a window" um sure. It is in view of the window from all the way in the back bear the bar, and there was a 4 spot open near the window. Next. I ordered lemon sole which comes w veggies . I received a tiny 2 sq inch piece of fish with veggies for like $36. I mentioned it to the staff that this is really insultingly tiny. I mean the 8 oz filet is literally 8x more to eat. I was offered 'more' but I declined as I just filled up on bread. We had been ordering bottled water and we're near the end and I'd think they could offer you one bottle free but instead they happily switched to tap at my approval. Just felt like for that money. It is no longer compelling given that scrounging for bottom line profit. Again our waiter was excellent.
We been to the Bristol Lounge before and feel as of late that the service is slipping. We were very dissapointed with the level of service and will find it hard to go there again.
The room is so elegant, plenty of space in between tables and not so loud like Abe and Louie or Capital Grill. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and the room was beautiful. We went for a college graduation celebration and we had a great time. The bar was delightful, excellent drinks, the dinner was excellent.
Just a fabulous evening at The Bristol. The cocktails, food and service was absolutely fabulous !! My favorite restaurant!!
Very enjoyable evening with excellent food and a pleasant ambience
Food came out cold twice. Server was very unattenative and after offer to not charge us for the cold dinner, charged us anyway.
Caesar salads were completely pedestrian. Served without anchovies. Cake too cold. Good service. Menu rather boring.
What a wonderful lunch! I treated my dear friend for her 18th birthday. Her first time and she was delighted. The setting was gorgeous. The food delicious. Finally, they surprised her (me, too) with the most delicious piece of chocolate cake ever with a candle on top and Happy Birthday in chocolate sauce on the plate! A memory for life. Thank you.
We were celebrating two birthdays - and with no advance warning, or special request, a delicious chocolate cake with candles was served to us as dessert. Our host picked up on the birthday theme because we told him that the two ladies in our party shared a birthday month -- April. Our host was charming, funny, great conversationalist. Food was fabulous -- view of the Swan Boats and the Public Garden pure Boston. A lovely time was had by all. Thank you!
