Bristol Restaurant and Bar - Four Seasons Hotel Boston
The Bristol Bar boasts a collection of sought after, small batch production spirits, some of which have been crafted specifically for us. Our cocktails playfully mash up seasonal ingredients and spirits that strike balance and create the perfect sip for any occasion.
Whether you are cozied up by the fireplace, taking in the stunning views of the Boston Public Garden, or casually sipping our maple syrup and cardamom old fashioned at the bar, The Bristol is your venue to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of the food
Other than the service we were very disappointed
Wonderful service from Mahmet and Milton, as always, and we love the view and the ambiance. Just wish the Bristol Burger wasn’t $34 (the most expensive in the city by far, and not nearly as good as the previous version). We’d be coming here weekly otherwise.
It’s our go-to Sunday brunch place when in town visiting our son. A great selection of foods, tasty, and high quality. The service is usually great.
Delicious! My favorite in Boston
We have no problem paying 58.00 for a meal and have paid more. Our steak was about 1/4 inch thick rib eye and it was cooked perfect but it was not hot. The fat had started to congeal before we finished eating. Noise level was so loud we barely could hear each other when talking. The only 5 star was our waiter. He was great.
Went there for a special night out. I was very disappointed. Given its location and price I found it very casual. For the price I was paying I expected a higher level of service and ambiance. I guess this is the price for casual at the 4 seasons.
However if you are not loaded with money and are looking for something special, I would recommend somewhere else that you would pay the same money but actually get white linen service.
The waiter was not attentive. After they cleared our plates from main course, we never saw him for over a half. Never offered desert or coffee. I had to go to Maitre D’ to settle my check.
I eat here three times a week and it’s always perfect; the best service always, but this time everyone was out of synchronization. I said no bread they bring bread, asked for sparkling water they brought still, served my and not my guest, and on and on. It’s typically great but this time it’s like the servers were all discombobulated
One of my favorite things about the Bristol is that if you want to share a dish they don’t simply being you an extra plate and a serving spoon. Instead they elegantly divide it in the kitchen and serve each person a dish. It makes everything seem special. Thank you
Does not disappoint. All-around delightful. But pricey! Great for a special occasion.
I gave 4 * star on food b’coz they didn’t have an option for dessert that was gluten free and also dairy free
The Bristol has the perfect combination of the ideal location in Boston overlooking the Public Garden, a spacious layout for private conversations and a staff that seems to love their jobs. I was there for my 60th birthday dinner and have never felt more special or cared for in a restaurant. Sensational! Our server had been there for 20 years and was looking forward to 20 more. BRAVO and THANK YOU!
For the life of me, I can't understand how the Four Seasons, usually the paragon of good taste, would adopt the embarrassing payment system of bringing a remote credit card machine to the table. So undignified, especially when I'm paying a super premium for eggs and toast. And then to have to choose the tip in front of the server is mortifying. It's enough that I wouldn't return. It's horrible.
Tried a really amazing cocktail called Snapchat. Service was good, food was good, it was pretty boisterous in the restaurant but that may have been from some of the local graduations.
Bristol knows how to make two ladies who lunch feel special! Everything was delicious. Our waiter was so gracious! Thank you
Fabulous service, five star. Excellent food.
Food and service were both fine. Menu is incredibly expensive even for simple things. A Cobb salad with tuna is $40, for example. Good if you’re expensing the meal with work, but work look elsewhere for everyday dining
Absolutely amazing service- top notch
The Bristol still has one of the most perfect locations in Boston and the food and service are very good. But I think that’s the key - it’s all very good when it used to be extraordinary. Everything was delicious but the dishes just miss the mark for excellence - it feels like they’re trying very hard to be creative but sometimes it all comes together as a bit too much. The service is very friendly but it’s missing the air of formality from prior years and there’s something to be said for that elegance. Would I return? Yes, I would as it’s still one of the best options in Boston, especially at lunchtime. But I do miss the classic Bristol.
Extremely slow and inattentive service during a business lunch.
Amazing as always! Four Seasons is our family go to special occasion spot!
I don’t know if the Bloom is off the rose at the Bristol or what but this was one very off evening. Our server clearly had too many tables and was super-inattentive and rushed. Really unusual for the Bristol. Despite empty tables by the window, we (2 women) were seated in the dining room at furthest table toward the lobby. My wife had to send her meal back it was so cold (a hot pasta dish). There was no apology and no manager came by to inquire about it or ask if they could do anything for her. All around a really off-putting experience and not what we’d come to expect here.
Still thinking of the lamb burger...
I wish the music was just a tad quieter but very lovely!
I love the Bristol bar. A beautiful space, impeccable service and food.
The Bristol is simply the most reliably special places to dine in Boston. In this case we were celebrating a birthday. The maitre'd made the appropriate acknowledgement and led us to a special table in the window. The server was immediately there to greet us and another to serve our water. The service was careful to balance the need to take our requests but without hovering. Each dish was carefully prepared, hot, and delicious. The menu has classics but prepared with some unusual touches. The portions are on the large side and the side options are as good as the main courses. Fo me, consistency is the most important attribute of a restaurant and on this measure The Bristol is nearly perfect.
We love Bristol. It is a place where you pay for quality and you get it.
We celebrated a 30th birthday at the Sunday brunch and it was absolutely perfect.
Our Server was spectacular. We can truly relax and enjoy our meal, each other and our surroundings. It is such a treat to visit.
Excellent service our waiter was amazing! Great food highly recommend it..
comfortable, well decorated quietly elegant space with lovely view of the public garden from our table. the food was very good and artistically presented. The creme brule desert tasted good and was visually lovely but the spun sugar nest was a bit difficult to eat. More art than food. The restaurant was pleasantly not noisy.
We (my sister, mother and I) were there for a special lunch. So fun and lovely and just all around perfect. We loved it!
Clive is a superb host, and the window table looked out on the Public Garden. Attentive service, excellent breakfast, able to converse freely with a low ambient noise level.
Delightful waiter and view
Absolutely delicious food, but it was expensive for lunch..
The bar area was incredibly noisy.
Birthday dinner. It was lovely
Hardly saw waiter.
Had to get drinks form the bar.
Recommend anywhere else.
Food was amazing.
