great tastes in unique presentations. Save room for the gateau opera-- most amazing dessert.
Quail was perfectly cooked, pork belly was overdone and tough but food was overall excellent as was the aervice.
Highly recommend. We ordered 3 apps, the mushroom and coddled duck egg salad, and profiterole. We shared everything. Portions were generous and it was more than enough food. Everything was outstanding. We especially liked the "tarte" tartin (potatoes instead of apples), the brussells sprouts on soft polenta, and that salad. Service was understated but attentive, i.e., perfect. We would have gone back the next night to ty the entrees had there been a table. We tend to do Micheline starred places when traveling (just to give you an idea of what we're comparing Brindille to), and only wonder why Brindille doesn't have one.
Amazing real French kitchen on the US. Michelin Star!!!!
Amazing, excellent, hands down best restaurant in Chicago.
Food was very good but not excellent. The setting was nice but not special. Service was great, attentive but not overly so, just right, and the perfect degree of friendliness.
Overall, it was a really good experience and I would go again.
And the date went really well too!
Again one of the best meals I’ve ever had. It has been a while since we been given the pandemic and this first trip back was WOW. Truly some of best flavors we had. Nothing was just good, everything was amazing. Great cocktails and wine complemented the amazing food. Meat cooked perfectly and great sauces. A cheese course that was so delightful.
We were very excited to be eating at Brindille but left very disappointed. The James Beard award winning chef was the biggest disappointment. The only course that came out hot was the amuse-bouche, everything else was room temperature at best. They completely forgot to serve one of our courses till I noticed our silverware didn’t match what our next course should be and reminded them. I finally complained about the food temperature when our entrees came out lukewarm and was told by the server that he knew the food wasn’t hot but when he told the chef about it she said to serve it anyway. There is no excuse for this. This is not what I would call fine dining. Go somewhere else, Chicago has so many better restaurants to choose from. Also the dress was smart/ business casual. We were seated by a gentleman wearing a sloppy untucked flannel shirt giving us a bad first impression, we should have left then.
A great place for imaginative takes on classic french cuisine, especially with the tasting menu though the tasting menu is not yet generally available due to difficulty in hiring the number of people required for that degree of complex food preparation. But Brindille remains a place we always go to when we are in Chicago.
Consistently superb food. Classic French techniques with unusual contemporary flavors. Small but extremely well curated wine list. High touch service, takes great care of their regulars. Highly recommended.
Everything was perfect, great service, amazing food and delicious cocktails. Thank you to the team there.
Wonderful evening and thanks again!!!
Brindille is a pretty restaurant with attentive service, a wine list with good and varied selections, and creative and delicious food. We enjoyed our evening there very much, and would highly recommend it. We appreciated the owner-chef coming out of the kitchen to greet us as we were finishing our meal.
Best dinner I’ve had in quite a while. Service was great, food was excellent. Great dining experience!
Incredible food, very nice ambience and thoughtful service.
Always a wonderful experience. We loved the prawns, soft shell crab, and salmons. Everything was excellent
We returned to Brindille since reopening due to COVID.
We enjoyed an outstanding meal and cocktails.
Very quaint restaurant with wonderful staff.
Treat yourself to the Brindille experience.
No stranger to Michelin and Eater we enjoy beautiful food and unique contexts. Service still matters. Food was impeccable except it took an unusually long time to dine as the restaurant prioritizes friends or regulars over special occasion guests who have dined with Brindille in the past. Also they take a deposit for reservations and don’t make it clear if it was applied to the checque. Chef Nahabedian continues to delight guests as does her pastry chef but at $400 for 4 people a little interest in business would’ve made our family’s celebration special. Still on our list just no longer at the top.Go early parking is an interesting challenge.
We waited 30 minutes for the appetizers to be served and more than 30 minutes for the main course. It’s was too expensive for what we got.
The steak didn’t worth its money, the duck dish was pretty bad, I enjoyed my salmon dish.
They did not even pay attention to our event after we put a note in our reservation. It would be nice someone to read those notes.
We had one of the best meals we have ever had. Everything was outstanding and the service was a delight. Wish we lived in Chicago so we could visit every week. Thank you to the staff for such a great experience!
Very good service, excellent food. A very nice evening.
Not very French for a French restaurant. Our waiter was from Georgia. Wine selection extremely over priced. Duck was cooked the way requested but was very tough. The foiie gras was very over priced but it was flavorful. The hot desert was not worth the extra wait. Service was very good.
Amazing food and service! Try the oysters as an appetizer. Unbelievable flavor. Will definitely be back!
This was my third visit to Brindille and I've never been disappointed. The ambience, food and service were excellent. We had a variety of dishes and enjoyed everything! The wine was great as well. Will definitely be back!
Multiple courses arrived luke warm-cold.
Excellent in most regards. Very pleasant and competent server, Eric. Ensure that built red wines are chilled to the proper temperature. In all, a real asset to the Chicago dining scene.
The waiter was very helpful and friendly. The food ofcorse was amazing
Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing. Good wine at modest price. The decor is elegant and understated.
Everything was great but the food was just “fine”. It all needed a pinch of salt, a little bland for French food. The service was beyond excellent.
Last night was my first visit to Brindille. What an amazing experience. Our waiter was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent wine recommendations and was delightful to chat with. The food was incredible. The asparagus salad was so creative, each component building on the others. Save room for dessert. The pastry chef has really gone the extra mile.
Excellent food and service, first class in every way.
sorry to be blunt... the food was way too overpriced for the quality. unfortunately my halibut wasn't warm when it arrived at the table.
Excellent food and service. A great dining experience
I had read some negative reviews ( guess you can’t please some people), but we loved this restaurant and experienced prompt, attentive service and a fabulous meal. Although it is a bit pricey, we enjoyed every bite of our deliciously prepared dinner. The halibut and duck were superb as was the fresh summer vichyssoise soup and salad . We topped our meal off with a beautiful, tasty strawberry dessert. A win!
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Food and service were perfect.
I proposed to my fiancé at Brindille.
We had a truly spectacular dinner last night at Brindille, the perfect restaurant for a special occasion. We can’t say enough about this magnificently delicious meal! French houte cuisine at its finest!
Many, many kudos to Chef Carrie Nahabedian, her cousin and front of the house manager/wine director Michael Nahabedian and their team (especially our wonderful server) for helping make a memory that will last a lifetime!
Love this place. Feels like a neighborhood restaurant with a French twist.
I was very disappointed. Our reservation was for 8pm and we were not served until after 9pm. The service was very slow and poor and the food was unexceptional. The decor was seedy, suitable for a joint and not a classy restaurant The prices were very high for the value received. We will not return.
Oh my! Amazing everything!! Food.eqs sublime and the service was spectacular!!!
