Great music and nice relaxed Environment to be able to talk
We had the 5 course tasting menu. Everything was fantastic, especially the salmon and duck with foie gras. Our server was great.
Was there once before and thought ok but this time was superb and I have shared that with many others already .
Outstanding fine dining venue with creative and classic cuisine interpretations implemented by the veteran Chef, Carrie Nahabedian. Well trained and knowledgeable service staff.
The evening started wonderful then we found we were often distracted by an arguing couple. Our server was great, recommending awesome wine and scallop appetizer. Per a Tribune review, we both had the dover sole. The sole was pretty good but barely warm so we found it was not worth the 63.00 per person. Towards end of meal, a customer came up and asked the arguing couple to keep it quiet so others can enjoy their meal.
Our favorite Chicago restaurant! Outstanding food always. Just coming back from vacation, they were not quite ready, so our food and drinks were slow to come, but worth the wait. The food was stellar. If we are not eating at Brindille, we are eating in Paris. There is no in between in Chicago!
Delicious French inspired dishes...every. single. dish. Deep, rich flavor.
Service was very good. Where we were sitting, sound level was louder than most(?) high-end places.
Overall experience: Fantastic...why did it take us soooooo long to try this place??? And the salmon....GEEZ!! If I could cook salmon like that, we would probably eat it every day!!
The worst experience of my life... waited 20 min for the valet to appear, was then seated in the worst table in the house, next to the kitchen... food took forever, server did not even recall our order properly. When the food finally arrived, it was inedible with no flavor... did not even wait to have dessert when we fled the place. We were for New Years, the worst decision ever. Not to mention, there was no possibility of having a conversation without shouting because of the noise and lack of good acoustics... paid a pretty penny for one of the worst food experiences of my life... DO NOT try this restaurant...
Fantastic, highly recommended!
New year dinner. Restaurant always great
Always delightful staff. Owner friendly and present. Food, solid French, yet creative. Beyond steak and frites yet recognizable.
Great menu, excellent service, dependable value. We are repeat customers and it never fails to impress us. The excellent dining experience is never a fluke, but simply the norm. Love this place.
This was my second holiday tea at Brindille in 15 days. The first was excellent. The second was very very good but not quite as good as the first. We had the same server both times, and he was dismissive of two women together both times. That's unfortunate, because the food is amazing. A slight markdown the second time only because, having been there before, the second time there were no amazing ornament shaped chocolate mouse desserts, as there were the first time. In fact, there was only one chocolate item on the dessert tray. So that was a bit disappointing, but everything else was wonderful. I would love to have a full bowl of that pumpkin soup with the apple cider cappuccino on top!
I love their teas. My mom and I were for Mother's Day and came back for the holiday tea. Food is excellent.
I am an afternoon tea aficionado, so I was excited to try the holiday afternoon tea at Brindille. It exceeded all expectations and was superior to the afternoon tea service at Chicago’s luxury hotels. The service was spectacular and warm, the tea selection was diverse and interesting, and the atmosphere was chic and festive. But let’s get to the food. This is not your “typical” afternoon tea of cucumber sandwiches, some smoked salmon, and scones. This was a lovely curated selection of freshly made treats — savory and sweet — served in a multi-course progression rather than having everything appear at once on a three-tiered tower. The selections were superb and I desperately wanted seconds of everything. The only aspect that wasn’t precisely to my liking was the fact that, given I was seated at the last seating (3pm), my guest and I could not really linger over our sweet treats that ended the tea service because the restaurant staff needed to freshen up the dining room and ready it for dinner service. Next time I will reserve an earlier seating to have a bit more time to enjoy the spectacular food selections and the lovely setting. I wish Brindille had a regular tea service, because this one is now my hands-down favorite in Chicago.
Special Christmas tea was extraordinarily good. Great cakes, awesome sandwiches and stand-out scones in a festive settings with beautiful decorations everywhere
A PERFECT EVENING. GREAT FOOD AND EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
Don't want to be a Grinch but....The only "ding" I gave (4 stars) was for service and that's only because my personal preference is for a very low key server when I am on a date with my husband. I find my way ..around a menu pretty easily and know pretty much what I want.
As always, Brindille does not disappoint. The food...beyond perfection, the service...extraordinary, the atmosphere....festive and friendly.
Superb food and service, but very much marked up, so I can only refer this restaurant to my wealthy friends who can be more frivolous with their spending.
Wonderfully French inspired! We had a party of 6 and all partook of appetizers, main course and dessert. All were outstanding. Pricey but worth it! I will definitely return.
It was as if our waiter could care less about serving us. From seating to receiving our entree was 2 hours. When we commented, he wanted to know what was wrong. It still took 30 minutes to receive our deserts and we gave up on coffee.
Another fabulous holiday tea at Brindille! The food was amazing. The soup was so good I would have licked the last of it if I could have 😀. And the chocolate mousse dessert in the shape of an ornament - oh my, beautiful and delicious!
Outstanding restaurant! We dine out a great deal, throughout the country, as well as internationally, and Brindille has been one of the finest dining experiences we have ever had. Excellent food, wonderful ambiance, impeccable service.
We cannot give enough accolades to Careen, who made for a wonderful evening. She is pleasant, extraordinarily personable, and extremely knowledgeable. She made for an unforgettable dining experience. She is an asset to your organization and should be commended.
We recommend Brindille without reservation, and look forward to many, many more dining experiences at this fine restaurant.
We celebrated a birthday. Our waiter was attentive and very personable. The food was amazing. Loved my Sancere wine and wished I had room for dessert.
Waiter was the BEST...warm, welcoming, attentive but not hovering. Food was fabulous.
What a wonderful experience. Food was very delicious. Can not go wrong with any choice on the menu
Brindille is a wonderful restaurant, great food, great service and a wonderful ambiance. Well worth the dollars and time.
Thanks a lot for the excellent service, delicious food, and lovely ambience.
Brindille is the place that you’ll want to visit again-and-again. The small and elegant dining room is cozy and inviting. Chef Carrie Nahabedian works her culinary magic with each course - presented beautifully and delightful to the palette.
Should be on everybody's bucket list, what a marvelous evening!
Food was amazing, once we got it. Timing between appetizer & main course was extremely long (45+ minutes) with not so much as an apology for the delay, just excuses. I expected more from a restaurant of this caliber and one that has been in business for so long.
I took my wife here for her birthday and it was an absolute pleasure. This should be an event, not just a meal and take you’re time.
Everything was perfect - the table and settings, the music, the champagne, and THE FOOD.
Truly fantastic experience!
This visit was a bit disappointing. We didn't know what to make of it because Brindille historically has been a favorite in Chicago. We heard that the chef was in the kitchen, but the presentation of some of our dishes was bizarre and totally unlike the quality of past visits. Massings of indistinguishable brown items thrown onto the plate like stir fry were in stark contrast in our mind to the elegance they are typically known for. The dover sole was nice. Our server was out of her mind.
Our go to for an elegant and delicious evening. Not ‘ fancy’ , just perfect
This was without a doubt the most outstanding food I have had in a very long time! I have already decided ...along with my significant other... that since we both have enough stuff that we will treat ourselves to a limo to downtown Chicago and back for dinner at Brindille as a Christmas present to one another. Most outstanding Foie Gras dish I have ever eaten. It was a hair noisy at the start as there was a table of eight possible conventioneers/businessmen who had apparently imbibed somewhat heavily but when they left it was much much better.
I can't wait to return
Brindille is amazing from start to finish. Our sever Evan was the best and really helped make the experience even better. We are looking forward to another dinner here soon!
We did the eight course tasting menu which was fantastic. They oysters, foie gras and Dover Sole were out of this world. The wine service was impeccable and they have a wonderful list. We had a very leisurely dinner and love that the restaurant is both beautiful and conversation-friendly. I hope to be able to go again sometime. If I could even come up with a minor complaint – – the steak tartare was of the highest quality, maybe just a tiny bit bland. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening.
