Brighton Bar and Grill Ratings and Reviews
The meal was perfect once we got seated.
We were less than happy that we had to wait in the crowded entrance for 1/2 hour even though we arrived in time for our reservation. It would have been appropriate for the owner or manager to offer an appetizer or dessert as a kind gesture for the delay.
I took a chance on recommending the place, to get together with my friend from out of town, based on my 30-something son's recommendation and the reviews were fairly good....I was not disappointed! We had drinks....all good, even the wine recommended. We had the Garlic plate appetizer - plenty for 3 of us and some leftover. My friends had the salmon & the scallops and loved it. I had the Walleye - good flavor, but dry. My favorite dessert is carrot cake, so of course I ordered a "slice" and my 2 friends ordered 1 to share. Again, not disappointed, but you should have seen the look on my friends face when they brought it(coming from behind me....I wasn't sure what she was gasping at!). The portion was HUGE!. We could have split it 3 ways and had some left-over. I will definitely be back....just won't have the Walleye!
Again BB& Grill was delicious! Great menu with a lot of variety and a great drink selection! Service is always fantastic. I had the Ribeye which was cooked perfectly! I would always highly recommend brighton bar and grill - it’s consistently great for any occasion.
We have been there several times and I’ve always had the best of service and an excellent Dining experience. The only issue was we had a 7 o’clock reservation And weren’t seated until 7:35 PM. The management however, did, comp our dessert. It was Sweetest day. We will be back!
This is a staple in Brighton, MI. You can always depend of a good meal and good service. We go here three or four times a year and are never disappointed. It's a little expensive but not outrageous. Casual attire is fine or dress up if you like. The staff never rushes you if you care to have a nice leisurely pace. Good food.
Made reservations for party of 4 ... had to wait 15 minutes for a table. This has become typical of all my recent visits here. If you don't want to accept reservations, just say so.
Food is average ( literally ); That is, some menu items are consistently really good, and others are consistently poor.
Date night w/hubby & we both ordered the Steak Benedict - absolutely delicious! We did have reservations & arrived about 30 minutes early so we had to wait. The place was very busy yet we were seated exactly at 7:00. Waited a few extra minutes for our drinks but we know the bar was packed & the bartenders were running their butts off. No problem as the drinks were excellent.
Soup & rolls were delicious but the entree was the best !! Be sure to go when the weather is warm as you can sit on the patio to people watch.
We got our reserved booth in the bar, as I had requested. My salmon was great, and prepared perfectly. The asparagus however had a chemical taste. I'd had it here before so knew what it should taste like. Our waitress offered to bring a new order but we didn't want anymore. She was empowered to offer us a dessert instead, which we really appreciated. And it was very good.
The evening was most enjoyable. Food was excellent and service was commendable. Noise was energetic at first as we arrived at 8 PM. But dropped as earlier diners left. Great dessert in the apple pastry with ice cream. All made from scratch. Loved it. Entrees were excellent - had lamb chops and steak filets on potato pancake with crab on top. Fun evening out.
OpenTable did NOT actually reserve any table for us. Thankfully I called in the early afternoon to confirm and Brighton bar and grill never had our reservations. Will never use this website again. Better to call then waste time here
As always, a great meal in a nice, relaxed environment. My husband and I are still getting used to the menu changes, however, particularly the loss of the artichoke dip; however we still thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the filet continues to be one of our favorites.
As good as it gets. 😄. Small town restaurant despite Brighton no longer being a small town. Filet was outstanding, and the wine list is the most reasonably priced going. Both Molly Dooker Cabernet and Stags Leap Chardonnay were outstanding! Well worth the trip!
The food, atmosphere, and friendly service of this restaurant is amazing. We liked it so much we brought our friends and they were amazed as well! We did have wait a bit for our 7 p.m. booking/reservation -- but it was a Friday night and well worth the wait -- we got seated in a booth -- it was perfect!
My husband and I had an enjoyable experience here -- although the tables are rather close together. The service was prompt and friendly, the food delicious, and the atmosphere nice but a bit loud and tables crowded together - perhaps recommend a booth the next time for parties of 2 or 4. We are going again this coming weekend with friends!
Our family of three (two of us and our teenage daughter) stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening while staying overnight in Brighton between college visits. We had no expectations going in, but we all came away agreeing that this was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we had had in some time. The service was excellent, and our server took time to make recommendations based on our particular interests. The food was equally good. Strong recommendations for the Steak Benedict, and the Pork Chop (one is plenty!). And do not overlook what has to be the best (and certainly the largest) Carrot Cake in the Midwest. We were excited to find this gem in the beautiful downtown Brighton setting, and will certainly be back!
