Briggs is a lively environment on bustling Tenth Avenue. Our offerings cover many bases from sharing plates of great vegetables to burgers and for the adventurous, a 48oz rib-eye cooked over live charcoal. Coupling the food program are some of the best cocktails around and a wine list that is sure to please all palates. Briggs offers a unique twist on Weekend Punch Saturday and Sunday until 5:00pm.

A friend and I went for dinner to get caught up and ordered a Tomahawk steak each even though they are mean for two. Super tasty, we ended up ordering some sides on their own since the Tomahawk doesn't come with any. It would be nice to see an option for that.
Had a great meal. Steak sandwich was good, as was the burger. Server(s) were friendly and helpful.
Service was a bit slower than I would expect for lunch downtown. Also, someone needs to get the fancy coffee machine figured out, because waiting over 20 minutes to get a cappuccino and a latte was a bit much.
Unreal!!!! I can't believe how amazing our meal was, to be honest I did not expect such an exceptional experience.
I had checked out the menu beforehand and honestly thought it looked a little boring. When we arrived our waitress mentioned that you can pick a price range ($30-$40/ person) and share the 48oz Rib Eye with a random selection of sides. We didn't know what we were going to eat, but wow. Everything was fantastic!
For this price, 3 appetizers, 2 salads, the steak and 3 sides were delivered to our table. All premium menu items, they did not cheap out. It was honestly incredible! (Fondue, wings, calamari, crab & ricotta gnocchi, cobb salad, beets, broccoli, and potato tic-tacs.)
All 5 of us were blown away. Every single item was delicious! My only qualm is WHY isn't this "experience" on the menu?! I almost didn't try this place after looking at the menu online.
We came here for a birthday dinner this weekend and enjoyed our night. The food was good - the Newfs poutine was delicious and the chocolate pot was awesome to share. The tables are really close together. The four of us agreed we wouldn’t be in a hurry to return.
the food was great but quite noisy place as there were normally group gatherings. 48oz steak was the hit menu at the restaurant but it takes quite a time (20-30min)when is busy running time near around 7ish in the evening.
It would have been better if there are other hit menues be created that people get to order. Otherwise reducing the time the steaks to be ready.
Went with friends, good drinks and good food. Trendy and nice interior. Good service-knowledgeable about wines n drinks. Potato tik taks were recommended by server and they were tasty. Cheese fondue was a little disappointing as a bit floury, it could use less of a pastey taste and more of a sharp cheese flavour.
Server was friendly and there was a really good selection of different types of food for all types of people. We started with their poutine, it was good, however we both agreed it was little lacking in flavour in that it was a little dry.
My date had the Red Curry Chicken dish and it was very good not too strong in curry, was just right. I had the Steelhead Salmon with Risotto, it was very filling and cooked perfectly that it was still very moist. The portions were just right.
We didn't have time for dessert however said we would probably come back next time to try one or two out.
Overall it was great, love the food and atmosphere there. The server interrupted our conversation rather abruptly more than a couple of times and when trying to leave one of the staff and the manager were having a conversation in the entrance and seemed oblivious to us trying to exit, both which I could have done without.
Went out with a friend for dinner and it was the first time either of us had been to this restaurant. Unfortunately, an item in my friends seafood dish had gone bad so she needed to order an entirely new dinner however, our waitress was amazing, completely understanding and addressed the matter very professionally. A little loud if you're looking for one-on-one conversation but great ambiance.
Waited ten minutes for drink order and another 10 to find out bartender had been cut @ 8:30 resulting in cocktails being unavailable. one meal had to be returned as it was not up to standard and finally our bottle of wine was brought when we had just finished eating. No manager was their to discuss poor experience/food.
