Usually enjoy this Brig. However, definitely not this time. I was taking a friend to lunch for her birthday, made a note on the reservation that this was a special day. When the hostess greeted us, she completed a note which I assumed was given to our server, noting the birthday. I wanted to surprise my friend. Surprise was on me, server never even acknowledged the birthday! 🥴🎂🎉🎈

Restaurant has gone downhill. We used to love coming here. We ordered a martini but it wasn't made well - too bitter. The server questioned our ability to know what a martini should taste like and said the bartenders all use the same recipe. Our drink order was not even delivered at the same time and we had to wait a few minutes for one of our glasses of wine. How long does it take to pour a glass of wine? Some of the food was great (calamari was gobbled up quickly-it was so good). I have ordered the scallops in the past and they were wonderful. Unfortunately they weren't so great this time - overcooked. My guess is that the scallops were ready and put under a heat lamp (or something similar) while waiting for the rest of the meals to be finished. Note - the other meals were: 2 bowls of clam chowder, fish and chips, crab cakes and an order of calamari. Based on this I don't understand how the scallops were overcooked. Perhaps it was a new person working the kitchen that night? I don't think I will be back.

This is the second Brigantine I've been to... both have provided poor food relative to the cost.
In the case of the Poway Brigantine, we were seated in such a way that I had to get up and move twice during dinner to let others pass by; a few others were able to slip by without my getting up. It was surprising since we had a reservation- we didn't expect to be squeezed in.
Maybe the most disappointing aspect was the cleanliness of the table. The table was sticky and both my salad and dinner forks were stuck to the table; I had to ply them off.

We have visited a few of the Brigantine Restaurants and have always been pleased. The service was excellent. However, the Poway location had a high noise level. We were a party of 6 and half of our dinners were over cooked. The over cooked dinners were fish and chips and salmon. Also, my salmon was really salty in spots. We were surprised at how disappointing our dinner turned out

The service was excellent. My husband was ecstatic over his pork chops. I had a taste and they wee amazing. Spinach salad a bit sparce but what I got was fine. (Might want to work on that)

Not at this time. Our dinner was very late and seemed to be a substitute for what we ordered. The manager comped the meals, but the whole experience made for a poor evening out. Would not return.

Great food and everyone raved about their apps and main dish. My prime rib came a bit cooler than I'd liked and probably set plated while the waiter was waiting for the other meals to be completed. Other than that, a great time!

My only constructive feedback is that it would have been nice to have our table ready when we arrived. It took them several minutes to get the table together so we waited at least 20 minutes after our reservation. We were a large party and the restaurant gave us the option of sitting on a private patio which was a lovely option. Service was very good.

This is by far our favorite Brigantine in the San Diego. We live close to the Brigantine and still drive to Poway. The food and the service is much better. Our food was great as usual

Met an old friend and The Brig is always my go-to location. The people are super cool and the meal is good. They are a little on the pricy side but as I said, it’s my go-to.

The reason for the poor rating on food was the seafood gumbo. For someone who has spent some time in New Orleans the gumbo should have a different name. There was no Andouille sausage at all. It wasn't bad it just was not gumbo. Either make a real gumbo or change the name on the menu.

Fish was bland. Swordfish wasn't fresh. House chardonnay was bitter. Bread was cold. Waiter was great.

We have eaten here many times and there is always slow service or some kind of mishap. Tonight an entire glass of wine was spilled on my husband, then they charged us for it, they took it off the bill when we pointed it out, but honestly we were surprised that it was not at the very least complimentary. Nothing offered at all, not even a dry cleaning reimbursement. We will more than likely not return.

Our table was ready when we arrived and the service was prompt, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We were seated next to the fireplace - nice on such a cool evening. The waitress even noticed we liked the black bread best and brought more of that. The salmon is fantastic! The pops of pomegranate are delightful. I went back just for that after having it last month.

Party of 4, 3 of us had the Brazino on First Catch Menu. Everything was fresh and tasted great. We were excited that the meal included the mud pie. Everyone I take here ends up coming back. Great food and service. Best place to eat in Poway.

My wife and I enjoyed our meal there very much. It was on a Friday evening right after Valentine's Day so it was busy. We had made a reservation ahead of time so the wait time was very short. Our waiter very attentive and was quick to respond to any of our requests. Loved the bread. The meal was excellent. I had the porkchops. Wow. Would recommend to anyone for lunch or dinner.

I used Open Table to make our reservation. Outdoor dining appeared to be the only option which I did not want. I called the restaurant directly to get this corrected. They assured me that their patio would be closed. I even got a call the day before saying the patio would be closed due to rain and wondered if indoor dining would be okay. I said yes, that's what I wanted. When we got to the restaurant they still had us for outdoor dining. Fortunately, they had a table for us indoors with almost immediate seating. This is a perfect example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. I found the Open Table web site left a little to be desired in this particular instance.

Really good time at the Poway Brigantine! Only thing I have to complain about is that my wife’s fish was way over cooked and my burger was really really rare when I asked for a medium rare.

The food was very good. The only thing I didn't like is that our waiter, James, didn't tell us about the specials. I noticed that at every other table he went to, he did mention what the specials were. Other than that, we had a very good experience.

My reservation was quick and easy. Seating took a while however. No acknowledgement of my wife's birthday was ever mention even though I made the request. The food was mediocre at best. It was not at all what I have come to expect from Brigantine!

You did not honor my reservation. OpenTable allowed me to make a bar reservation. Why when the bar tables are not reservable?? Luckily we were early enough we were able to sit down. Please don't allow 'bar' reservations for this restaurant.

Ordered the prime rib special - very disappointing cut of meat especially for the price. The Spanish Octopus was wonderful and cooked to perfection. Restaurant was not too busy but the waitress was not very attentive although very nice and friendly when she did appear. Not sure calling every guest and coworker "love" is appropriate but who knows. Overall disappointing for the price of the meal - more like an outback experience than fine dining.
