Food was bland. Service was forgetful. Drinks were mediocre. Dessert was great.
Made brunch reservations for a Saturday through Open Table. Found out when we got there that brunch is served only on Sundays and they do not take reservations on Saturdays. On Saturdays there is a lunch menu and bar menu and is first come first serve.
We had a good time anyway. The food is good. I like the fish tacos and Brigantine salad. My husband likes the sliders and onion rings.
The service is very good. We recommend the Margarita Shaker and fish tacos!
Always enjoyed the Poway Brigantine. Food is good, nice for families and reasonably priced. Keep it up Brigantine!

We go to the Brigantine all the time and the food is wonderful but we happen to go this time for their Easter brunch and it was awful. Each of us ordered four different things and all four of them were not good which was unfortunate.

As usual, the food was fantastic, and our waiter especially great. We met a friend from out of town and had a wonderful meal as well as catching up on their recent events.
I appreciate the hostess & wait staff's attention. It makes such a difference in a dining experience.

The Poway Brigantine is still our go to restaurant when we want a nice, quiet dinner. Other Brigantines have been remodeled and have become more of a loud bar instead of a nice restaurant. The food is always great. Our server, Bill, was excellent. He has waited on us several times and is very attentive, professional and helpful.
The girl in front is friendly. Could get more smile from the waiter though.

Met with friends. Everyone's food was good, except mine. I ordered the filet at medium and it came out less than medium rare. I didn't send it back as it just wasn't worth it to me at the time as we were enjoying everything else. Our waiter (Mike) was very good and personable. I just wish The Brig would start having a few more options of fresh fish - they need to decide what kind of restaurant they are really. Years ago they had a fresh fish list and it was great to have options. My wife really misses the clams as they now only have oysters and she doesn't care for those.
We had a table by the fire that was very cozy. The food is excellent.
Birthday card and dessert made it just a little more special. Had their birthday coupon for $15 off the bill which was nice. Love this restaurant, always pleased with their food and service! Recommend!
Always attentive and good service. Good food and a lovely birthday. Unfortunately the noise level is too loud for my elderly mother in law and so conversation was difficult.
A very nice evening. Good food, wine, cocktail. We will be back. It was Valentine's Day and so a little crowded, but the crowd was managed very efficiently.
We've had many memorable dinners at this establishment and our latest was no exception -- made reservations for Valentine's Day. The drinks, beer, sangria and berry champagne, were all very good; however, we would probably pass next time on the mac and cheese appetizer. Made with fettuccine noodles and a very thin sauce, this version was not at all what we expected. On the other hand, the cheesy garlic bread was excellent as always. Our entrees included crab cake/Caesar salad, roast prime steak and ribeye steak -- all excellent as well. We also indulged with the crème brulee, mud pie and apple crisp for dessert. Only praise for these finishers. One of the highlights was our server -- I didn't catch her name, but a woman from England with the accent to match. She was very helpful, attentive and witty. Overall a great evening for us.
The food is above average, but we were disappointed due to them changing the menu 2 weeks ago. The filet mignon was ordered medium, but came to the table rare.
We are not so sure we will return anytime soon.

We have had excellent service the last several times we dined at the Poway Brigantine. Although it was crowded and it was Valentines Day, it wasn’t too loud, service was exceptional, and we didn’t feel rushed.
My wife and I celebrated our 17th Anniversary here and though it was the perfect spot to do so. Good vibe, great food and excellent service. Our server Michelle was awesome and very educated on the menu. It was our first time visiting, but definitely not our last.
Excellent seafood as always. Very personalized from the front desk to the servers. A favorite spot for us.
Food was good. Restaurant was a bit noisy - small children at a nearby table. Our waiter was attentive but courses came out too fast - probably not entirely our waiter's fault. We weren't finished our first course when the entrées arrived. Not staged properly.
Food was ok! I had the gumbo it was ok! The flavor was missing something in the rue.

Nice location, well decorated and modern. I believe they had a recent remodel as everything is fresh and new. The service was very good and the food was good. They were out of the special which was disappointing as we were there on a 7 PM reservation. I do like this restaurant chain but must point out it is not fine dining fit for foodies. It is a very good family restaurant .
Friendly staff, went for my boyfriend's birthday. Ordered prime rib well done, came tho table medium rare. Asked for different dish. Chicken looked and tasted like it was cooked in microwave. Waitress comped our meal but it was totally crazy how horrible the food was. Unfortunately won't be returning.

We particularly like the Brigantine in both Poway and Coronado for special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays...this time it was New Years Eve. We have been there many times for NYE...always beautifully decorated and a festive atmosphere. Food is delicious. We like dining in the rooms away from the bar area as they are a little quieter.
Usually love Brigantine (been coming for more than 20 years at different locations) but this time the food quality was not up to standard. Four of us were dining. Three out of four entrees were below par. Roast chicken was a little tough and dry. Beef entrees the same. Sand dabs were excellent. Seafood dip was great. Overall was a bit disappointed in food but service was good.
The food was very good! Our server, Brittney, who is also the manager, was great! I love in Northern California so I am unable to eat there very often, unfortunately! Would it be possible to get your recipe for Coctel Del Mar? It was so good and I would love to recreate it at home. I also had a Shrimp Taco that was wonderful! Love the ambiance, but have heard they will be remodeling to a cafeteria style open bar similar to Escondido. Which targets a different group.
I love the Brig and usually the food is very good. But was disappointed with my brunch food, tepid and without much flavor. Got our favorite booth. But had to ask/scout for salt & pepper. And they were pushing their holiday specialties so we had to ask for mimosas (by the way they charge extra for the OJ). And no bread or muffin offered with our omelettes, the potatoes were terrible and fruit mostly tasteless. We lingered but it wasn't because of the food. Our service was fine...and appreciated her attentiveness.
Food was ok. I know other places with much more flavorful options for a lower cost. They do not have as nice of a facility and the service was great ... but the food is important and thus the lower rating. I had the swordfish and it was very bland, almost no taste. The calamari was very oily (but it did taste good).
The hostess and server were very friendly and welcoming.
This was my first visit to this location for the Brigantine. We went to have Sunday brunch before a show we were going to at 1pm. We would have stayed a lot longer; the Ambiance, the service, the food , ALL was exceptional. Can't wait to go back!
Great food, excellent service (Jacky), relaxing environment. It's a spot we've rediscovered. Great selection of food. We'll definitely be coming back next year.
The clam chowder never disappoints. Oysters on the half shell very fresh and succulent. Tried the seafood gumbo for the first time. Just enough spice to get your tongue tingling. Panko crusted mahi mani is always a favorite.
