Food was horrible. Manager even comped the whole bill because he agreed that the meals were not up to their standard.
Service was under standard. Would never go here again or recommend to anyone.
We have been visiting the Brig for years, especially Taco Tuesdays. We brought our friends from Minessota for something different. They enjoyed the menu, selecting meat while we had fish dishes. They want to visit the restaurant again and plan to bring their family to the Brig this summer.
Our waitress was fantastic and really made us feel welcome. She is a keeper.
Enjoyed our dinner. Excellent service.! Reasonable price drinks and good selection of beer and wine. Will return.
Food and service were wonderful.
Comfortable setting. Great service. Good food
Food was good and service was great! Nice atmosphere.
Great food. Only downside, which wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, was the screaming kid at the adjacent table.
Had a wonderful dinner, one of the best dining experiences we have ever had!
The food was good quality but bland. I had bay scallops and they didn't have much flavor. The vegetables needed seasoning as well. My daughter's potato was dry and not good to eat. The ribeye was good. The chowder was very good and the salt and pepper shrimp were delicious.
Very poor service- practically ignored the entire time we were there. Of the two main dishes that we ordered one was decently portioned while the other was just ludicrously / laughably small. Absolutely did not live up to the reputation of the brand name. Overall quite disappointed.
Reservations were useless. Obviously they didn’t prepare well for Valentine’s Day crowds. We finally got a table in the bar and ate there. Food was excellent though and it was wine Wednesday so all wine was half off. Our server was a good guy and worked hard.
The location is nice and the restaurant is attractive inside. We were offered an outdoor table, but it is February and chilly outside so so opted to wait 10 minutes for an inside table. The food and service was good and we will return.
No complaints all was very nice!
This was our first time and we eNjoyed it. Great service and food! Wednesday is half price on wine, good deal. The scallops were excellent. Our server was pleasant and helpful.
The entire meal was excellent. Our waiter was one of the best. I ordered a shrimp and crab Louis and found it to be very well done. Expect to go back for another good time.
We were able to get reservations at the last moment. The food was great as was the service.
Dinner was all around nice, but everything from the clam chowder to the beure blanc had a very strong sweetness to it. Like they used sweet cream and sweet cream butter, and added sugar one or the other please.
We had the best meal that we have had in a long time. The service was excellent. The server recommended some wine that was “to die for”.
Great evening, good food with friends marred by a $42.50 ticket for parking in their lot!! Didn’t have change, no cc option on the machine, no price per hour noted on or near the machine, $42.50 was for 30 minutes in an empty lot!!
Very disappointing end to the evening. Restaurant should inform guests that there is a parking gestapo, hand out coins, validate.....something to let customers know that if they park near the restaurant they are screwed.
This was a great place to end an amazing trip with my boyfriend. The service was great, ambience was delightful and the food was delicious! Thank you guys for a great night
They have an OUTSTANDING brunch - our "go to" for some great upscale comfort food.
Another wonderful time here. Our servers Karly & Andrew were perfect and together with the Manager Julio we had a blast.
The oysters were fabulous and The best mud pie in San Diego. It's a local treasure.
Service was great, staff is friendly. Unfortunately the food is not good. It felt like we were eating cafeteria food.
Spent New Year's eve here with 6 friends. Food was superb, drinks excellent, service delightful, and all at a reasonable cost. There was NO rush to finish and leave. Everyone was very happy with the service, food, ambiance and drinks.
The Brig is always a consistent restaurant providing an excellent atmosphere for every dining opportunity. The Point Loma Brig is the most intimate restaurant in the chain. Great staff and service. They may wish to add prime rib to the menu, at least on a periodic basis.
We have loved the Brig for many years. We were disappointed in this visit however. The swordfish portion was thin and overdone; the lobster tempura tacos, while delicious, were messy and difficult to eat and the server forgot my husband's salad. We expect more from the Brigantine and will be trying new places for awhile.
We were there for Christmas Eve dinner and it just seemed off. The food was good but not up to their usual standards. The service was OK. Server had been on a while and it showed. Timing of our salads was off. We had barely begun on our salads when the entrees were served - and they were warm (but not cold enough to send back).
We have been dining at this location for several years and I was surprised at the decline in quality of food & service for this special occasion. Even on busy nights, they've done well in the past.
Great service including the manager. He was very nice even helping serve food. Love the place.
The Brigantine is our local neighborhood treat. The food is consistently good, as is the service. We know we can count on them for consistent high quality.
Our first time here was an absolutely amazing experience. After our second time, we won’t be going back. Food was cold and our 5 top order was totally wrong. They ran out of product and the service was mediocre at best. Even the Manager was at a loss for what to do. Bummer. We were really looking forward to our second meal here
Solid service and decent food. Many options. Great for a pre dinner prior to going to an event at Valley View
Great for groups! My girlfriends an I frequent this location and the Del Mar location. Staff handles large parties (12+) well. Thanks, Brig staff!!
Great for special occasions or bringing out of town guests to for Happy Hour or a sit down dinner.
upgrades to facility are very nice. seafood salad was good.
We went in to celebrate a friends birthday/going away and as always had a wonderful experience. The staff is consistently amazing but I would like to give special recognition to Rita, who is the loveliest woman. We also received great service from a busser, whose name I did not catch. They did however, leave the BEST selfie on my phone when I asked them to take our picture! We got a great laugh from that!
An exceptional meal. Attentive, friendly and well timed service. The restaurant is warm and cozy with a large fireplace. Definitely recommend an assortment of oysters to start! We will definitely be back on our next trip to San Diego
Definitely don’t recommend the clam chowder- was way too salty, no flavor had better clam chowder at less expensive restaurants.
All food was on the salty side.
Love the Brig. Excellent food, service and cocktails. Wonderful
The Brigantine in Point Loma was quite the delight. We hadn't been to any Brigantine's for long while because we had been quite disappointed with the one in La Mesa but this was a treat. The crab and lobster fondue was superb, although rich; the spinach salad luscious and the parmesan crusted sand dabs delicious! The creme brulee birthday dessert was among the best I've ever had! We got the window table as we had requested and had a lovely evening.
