People were very nice and food is great.
Halibut special was delicious. Lobster tacos a yummy surprise
Loved the fresh oysters!
Had a nice lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The food was good (you can’t beat the Brig’s fish tacos!) and though it was busy, it wasn’t crazy -the services was good. Nice, reliable dining location.
First time at this location. Same great value as other locations I've visited. It was our anniversary so request for window seating was granted and complimentary dessert ended a very nice dinner.
We always got to the Brig for family gatherings. Never been dissapointed.
Always a delight to dine at the Brigantine. Great service, good food, reasonable prices.
Beautiful interior, nice bar area. Food was at best fair. Fish and chips was mediocre , shoestring fries rather than traditional "chips" very bland coleslaw, needed vinegar and spices.
Mahi was dry and overcooked, just nuthin special, very disappointed.
OK restaurant, but the service was just passable. Waitress didn’t get us our drinks until we were half way through our salads. mahi mahi came just warm, shrimp and grits was OK, but nothing special. Just below average.
We had a reservation for 6:15 and we got there on time. We were seated in an outdoor area and there were no other customers there. We waited 15 minutes and no service. Another couple were seated and when someone finally someone showed up the other couple were servived first! The waiters passed by us twice before they served US! Now as a Hispanic couple it did make us fell like a second class citizen, we almost left! The waiters were courteous after I complained that we had been there first! I think waiters should be aware of this, especially in an empty room! The food was great and all else was well..
Server and Mgr were exceptional!
We went for Easter brunch. We had an early reservation and they weren't at all crowded then but I expect it picked up later. They had the expected breakfast items as well as some specialized versions. Presentation and taste were perfection. They started us with some fresh pastries. Then we shared the crab & lobster fondue which was absolutely wonderful! My entree was the coconut-macadamia crusted french toast and it was excellent.
they remember my favorite table! Sand dabs on the menu! yum. My business acquaintance was Very late, they didn't rush me, brought refills, offered to contact the missing associate, and when she did appear, graciously brought a menu, food, coffee, etc. Great meal, wonderful service.
We spent over a hundred dollars for dinner for 2 people and left hungry. My husband ordered scallops: three small over cooked scallops, a few small undercooked potatoes, and a few stalk of broccoli. I felt so bad when I saw his dinner, I offered him half my non seasoned steak. Fill up on the bread, and bring your own seasoning if you choose to eat here. I certainly will not be returning.
Great food, good friends, best of times! I would recommend the spot for healthy casual dining.
We had not been to the Brigantine since the remodel. We were surprised at how nice it was! The decor is up to date and very nice.
Ur Waiter was very friendly and attentive!
The food was prepared perfectly and tasted wonderful!
Oysters were fresh but expensive. Red fish and risotto was very good, wife very much enjoyed filet mignon OSCAR with crab cake!
Wow! We have not been here in years. The place is remodeled and uodated. The food is great and the service is outstanding. I had the special coconut panko encrusted sea bass and it was wonderful. We will be back.
Family dinner and was absolutely spectacular
Ordered 2 adult meals and 1 kids meal. The fish we got was undercooked, and had literally no seasoning. The manager was good, and took my meal off, but my husband had to split with our daughter because her fish had no seasoning. We left hungry and paid $100 for it!
Heading to Escondido for a concert, not familar with the area, at all. A lot of the choices seemed either too fancy or too casual, and then I found the Brigantine. A perfect place. Nicely decorated and very open made the place feel friendly and inviting. the ONLY issue I had was that I was not allowed to choose a table inside the restaurant and was offered seating in the patio - it was windy and 55 degrees outsdide. Well, the manager was able to find us a table inside - in their bar area. Since there really doesn't seem to be a distinction, we opted for bar table. What a nice surprise! Happy hour on Saturday evening was amazing! The clam chowder is a must! All in all, this was as much of a delight as the concert we attended immediately after dinner. We WILL be back!
When we arrived we were told that we had to sit on the heated patio despite it being 50 degrees outside. Everyone was cold and there were open tables inside the restaurant that were already "committed to other reservations". Not sure why a later reservation couldn't be put outside. Food was mediocre at best. Nice server. Won't go back.
Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our waitress Maria was Outstanding ! Service was above and beyond any other restaurant in the area! Food was generous and tasty. First timers here and we will definitely return again !
Terrible service!!! Went on an special occasion from out of town and the whole experience was awful. No service attention at all. We were never asked if we wanted something to drink. Ordered lobster that was over cooked. Instead of comping our bill they offered us free desert. We don’t even live anywhere near here just came down for the weekend. I wouldn’t recommend it.
We booked a reservation for a booth to sit next to each other but got a 2 person table and had to sit across from each other.
The restaurant was packed on Valentine's Day but we were seated outside and it was very pleasant. The service was good and prompt. I think the noise level inside would have been uncomfortable. Food was tasty.
It is a neighborhood restaurant for us and we plan on going more frequently.
I took my daughter & granddaughter out for Valentine's Day; the waitress didn't do anything special for our granddaughter who was clearly energetic and we were busy entertaining her. And, my green beans were very under cooked and the only side on my entree. It was also a bit crowded and noisy. So a not-to-repeat for anything but happy hour to get a better value experience.
Food and service was excellent.
We had a good time visiting with friends, as we enjoyed the good food. The service was
excellent, and the environment was pleasant. We will plan to keep this restaurants on our
"list" of places to visit.
Servers were friendly and prompt. Food was excellent
I ordered pretty modestly, opting only for the mussels and a Caesar salad. The cocktails were okay and the server was friendly and ready to keep our water glasses full. This is basically a chain restaurant but it has better offerings than the other local restaurants (Ruth's Chris and whatnot). Food was ok. My dad got chicken marsala and the portion was generous and the sauce had cardamom or something in it which we really only taste in the marsala we have in New England, where we live. I might go back again if not just to try the sand dabs!
We went on a Sunday evening for a birthday celebration. Enjoyed having Pacifico and Sculpin on tap. Yum. Service was a little slow but it was obvious our server had a really huge section, was really hustling and we weren't in a rush and she was very pleasant despite the obvious intensity of her section so it worked out fine. The food was excellent. Shared coconut macadamia shrimp which were outstanding, also the shrimp and crab fondue which was just crazy delicious. I don't want to know anything about how many calories are in that! The surf and turf filet was cooked perfectly, the sand dabs were reported to be excellent as well. I ordered the gumbo which had great flavor, legit dark roux, good spice and I can't believe I'm saying this but a little too much sausage but overall delicious, I would order it again. We accidentally left a $100 gift card in a blank envelope laying on the table, the manager tracked down our phone number and called to let us know right away. That could have easily gone the other way. Much appreciated. We'll be back.
We arrived a bit early and got seated right away. The food was great and we had a super nice waitress who was very attentive and a genuine delight. The staff is always good with attention to all our needs. Food was very well presented and served hot and tasty.
Disappointed that I had to pay extra to sit in the dinning room for Taco Tuesday, when we order exactly the same tacos they serve in the bar area.
Great food, great service! Will definitely come back!
The food was good, but one of the dishes the scallops were very burnt, but we had a lot of fun talking to the staff so we forgot to tell them and just let it go.
Always love the salads here because they have full salads and half orders which are plenty. The booths are great for conducting business and chatting without 'bar noise' drowning you out.
It was very good. Service could have been a little more attentive but the food was great.
Maria was an above average food server. She was a bit slow to serve a beverage that I had asked be served with the meal. She and all the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and accommodating. The food presentation and taste was excellent.
We dined here for New Years celebration! Had a great dinner and enjoyed time with our friends. We had our favorite waitress Rica!! She always goes the extra mile to make us happy! We love her!!
