Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats.



Located near the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, the Brigantine features fireside seating in a casual dining room, and in the adjacent lounge. Outdoor dining is available on one of our intimate patios, which include both fireplace and water features.



Private dining is available.



The Escondido Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, and lunch Monday-Saturday. Join us for our signature Happy Hour.

                                                                We had Mother's Day Brunch on the patio, it was a perfect day to be outside. We loved the Brunch menu. The Macadamia-coconut french toast was amazing. & the Tempura Lobster tacos were just what I was craving.

                                                                Food was very well prepared, quality ingredients and creative. Started with the oysters and they were very fresh and tasty. Other highlights were the sand dabs with risotto, and the macadamia and coconut shrimp. A beautiful dish and enjoyed by everyone. Only down note was that the entrees came out to our table about 5-6 minutes after ordering. This was strange, almost like they them already prepared. All the food was very hot and fresh but the meal felt rushed like they needed the table. The restaurant was maybe half full at the time. Solid quality seafood in nice casual environment. I will go back and sit outside in their nice patio.

The server was awesome, although I did not catch her name. So friendly and attentive. Food came to us very quickly. We both had the lobster tacos which were delicious. They were served with fresh vegetables and truffle fries. Overall a very pleasant experience.

                                                                Brigantine is always consistent which is great. I had the scallops which, if I like the current recipe, I will always order. The current recipe with sweet potato risotto was my favorite of all. My husband had the prime rib and it was medium rare as requested. A nice evening.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent with one minor problem that may have been an oversight which involved one of our meals not being taken which resulted in that person at our table having nothing yo eat when the other meals were delivered. They were very apologetic and the meal came in 10 min. Other than that everything was exceptional!

                                                                The brussel sprouts delicious! Not too fond of your Bloody Mary. Suggestion: need to make a seafood Bloody Mary two shrimps on the edge of glass I had the Mahi-Mahi was quite tasty. My friend had the chicken milanasa presentation was beautiful. I will definitely order this dish next time I dine here. Our server was attentive I was expecting more to the calamari. Not impressed Desserts the best! Guilty pleasure!

Parking is vexing with too few spaces and spaces closer than comfortable, causing pretzel moves to get out of the car. If the Brigantine is on your list, I suggest one of the others in the area for decent fish, etc.
