Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats.

Perched between the spectacular Pacific Ocean and the hills of Rancho Santa Fe, the Del Mar Brigantine sits high above the action of the Del Mar racetrack.

A lushly landscaped garden offers an unparalleled setting for weddings and outdoor-themed events. Indoors, a formal dining room looks out to the garden through floor-to-ceiling french doors. For more casual dining, the glass-enclosed deck is a year-round favorite.

The Del Mar Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, lunch Monday-Saturday, and brunch each Sunday.

Well, ordered a Bloody Mary, too spicy and did not have any garnishes. 2 of the guests food came out 15-20 minutes before the rest of the parties came out, so when it was finally eaten, it was cold. Ordered veggies, got chips. Calamari was greasy....we usually have a good experience at Brig. Not a good day.

Well I reserved a table for an anniversary with a view and they sat me right in the middle of the crowded room with NO view. Was nothing special although we enjoy the restaurant and the food.

Brigantine Del Mar never disappoints. Great atmosphere, beautiful view of the ocean, racetrack and lagoon. Menu choices are all excellent. We always leave feeling like this redtaurant was a wonderful choice, no matter what the occasion was. And today, lunch was no exception!

We went there for Valentines Day. I ordered the Halibut special and he ordered the swordfish. When the server delivered our food (not our main server) she got the orders mixed up and gave me the swordfish and he the other. We didn't even realize it at the time as you would think the halibut would be nice and thick. Anyway I got the swordfish and it was delicious! It had a great smokey flavor, I was happy with it. My date got the halibut which was not very good, a thin piece and the avocado frisee was too spicy for hm and a little overcooked. I had a cup of clam chowder (couldn't find a clam) but the flavor was acceptable. We also had a spinach salad and a iceberg wedge with bleu cheese, both very good. Creme Brûlée and mint cheesecake and coffee finished the meal. Mat, our server was great, with a very charming personality and everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome. Yes I would recommend this restaurant. Pre dinner drinks and a bottle of wine also. Prices were reasonable as well.

It was a special day, Valentine and Anniversary, often celebrated in exotic locations such as Thailand, Hawaii, and Monterey that didn’t always meet expectations. We chose Briggantine Del Mar because of its excellent reviews and it’s proximity to where business was conducted that day. It was a choice that we will forever cherish.
Request for seating ,and what a view, was met, and impeccable service that was open to alternatives to a full menu that would appeal to the most discriminating pallets set the perfect ambience for a perfect evening. We ordered Halibut, Salmon and Gumbo that were some of the best we have savored.
Paradise is where you make it and our choice for that special occasion will be Briggantine Del Mar. It was a evening that met all our expectations beyond imagination and that we’ll never forget.

Great ambiance and fresh oysters. Bit disappointed in the overall taste and quality of shrimp Louie and crab and their famous fish tacos. Tacos lacked flavor and taste. Oysters on the rock were the best and very fresh. I would come here for lunch but will skip dinner. Great atmosphere and excellent service by Hailey.
