About Brigantine Coronado
A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received numerous accolades during our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few.
Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish & Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks & grilled meats.
A favorite destination for locals & tourists alike, the Coronado Brigantine is located in the heart of the village, immediately adjacent to the historic Hotel Del Coronado.
Completely remodeled in 2016, the "new" Coronado Brigantine is an elegant adaptation of its former self. The addition of an intimate private dining room, a surround-seating bar and street-side outdoor patio have been equally well-received.
The Coronado Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, as well as lunch Monday-Saturday.

Brigantine Coronado Ratings and Reviews
Reliable is not a boring thing; it's a good thing -- and The Brig is reliable. Our server was enthusiastic & likes her job. The Brigantine Fish Tacos are done in an almost tempura-like batter, and their coleslaw is not smothered in mayonnaise. Opt for the house-made chips; they are outstanding. The spinach salad with chicken breast is light & flavorful. Outdoors, you have a view of the Hotel Del Coronado. Inside, there's a friendly bar. This place is a treat.
Sunday at 4:30 pm, Fernando took care of us, brilliant and quick. Wonderful food (oysters & mussels so yummy), even my elderly Dad was chowing down. Steaks delicious, salads tasty, chairs comfy. We went after a matinee at a local theater. They even kindly turned down the music (speaker) above our table in the Crown room, so my Dad's hearing aids weren't buzzing. We ranged in age from 16 to 93 and we all had a good time. Thanks, we'll be back!
The restaurant forgot to bring the appetizers we had ordered, so they brought them after we had received our entrees. But, they stepped up and didn't charge us for the appetizers, so it's actually good to see a restaurant make things right without being asked. It makes for good reviews and customers who will come back again, which we will!
Every time we visit Coronado we go to the Brigantine. It is in a great location on Orange Ave. and close to the Hotel Del Coronado. They have a variety of dishes to choose from. My only suggestion would be to have more vegetable choices as carrots and green beans are the only choice offered (unless you choose a dish that offers asparagus). The atmosphere is great and there is indoor and outdoor dining.
