Neighborhood hotspot and family business Bridget Foy’s has been delighting patrons with its tantalizing take on modern American cuisine for more than three decades. Since the recent appointment of Executive Chef Daniel James, the menu has incorporated a number of exciting additions alongside perennial favorites like the Standard Burger, which can be personalized to taste with a variety of toppings, from fried onions to a fried egg.

The lively bar is a welcome place to sample a rotating selection of local microbrews on draft, build your own Bloody Mary during brunch, or sip on a winter warmer during the cooler months. Alternately, summer in the city is best experienced over a leisurely meal in Bridget Foy’s legendary outdoor café – the perfect perch for people watching among the hustle and bustle of one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant districts.

I had the Short Rib special it was delicious and filling. My server Bianca was bartending also, but was still very attentive. But this will be my last review, since the fire. I will be the first one back when it's rebuild. It has been and always will be my first home away from home, ever since Bernadette told me to stop eating by my self in the dining room and go sit at the bar. That was 13 years ago and I never had a bad time there.

As usual fine dining. Excellent black bean soup, a creamy Mac and cheese. But there is now a deep dish apple pie on the dessert list. Fabulous, great taste and full of apples. I could eat the pie as an entree A great meal in a fine neighborhood restaurant.

Again, my husband and I had a great dinner at Bridget Foys. The service is always good and friendly. It was the first night for the fall menu, which was really good. The brussel sprouts were so tasty - I recommend them highly. Overall, this is a wonderful place for a good dinner. The bar is good and it provides great people watching if you get a table by the windows.

We went here because they participated in Restaurant Week. Service was great, had filet which was cooked perfect and with it came potato that were cooked different than mashed or baked and were really good. Apple turnover and chocolate desserts were fantastic!

The hostess/ waiter was very cool and energetic. The first thing we ordered was a pitcher of the white sangria. Kinda hard to say how good it was because the pitcher was 70% ice 30% sangria. We came for restaurant week, first course meat loaf slides which was okay, and it was exactly what the menu stated it would be ONE SLICE OF MEAT LOAF CUT INTO 3 PIECES. The roll used was soft but the cup of onions on top of the slider was a little excessive. The clam chowder looked very weird, not what I would consider a chowder to be it was extremely brothy but did have a lot of clams. The next course was a "rib eye" sub and the shrimp diablo. The sub was very dry and the cheese wasn't even melted. The fries were soft and cold. The shrimp diablo was okay. The pasta was a thin spaghetti with a regular marinara sauce, a table spoon of lump crab meat and three over cooked flavorless shrimp. Last but not least dessert we had a mud pie and apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The only thing good about the pie was the crust, the middle was extremely hard and the whip cream had no flavor at all. The apples in the crisp was almost similar to apple sauce and the crumb was very sandy and unpleasant to eat.
