- Waitstaff wear masks
- Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking
This is one of our favorite places in the city for brunch…The staff, the food all amazing!!
Food was really salty across the board and Prime Rib special was slathered in this gross gravy and the Lobster Bisque tasted like the Dead Sea.
Ordered Prosscco and got Cava instead.
Service was ok and rehabbed interior is nice but noise levels were too high.
If I went back I wouldn’t spend the money for the entrees and specials and would probably just order a burger.
Outdoor dining well laid out, warm and comfortable on new year's eve. Attentive service without overly interrupting. In house smoked chicken very flavorful. Will be back.
Outdoor dining is terrific- its heated, has music, and you feel safe.
Landmark South Street spot is better than ever. Bridget keeps it cookin'!
We went for Sweet Amalia oysters but they were sold out when we got there but everything else was good.
the family and staff are amazing!!! the food is always good
Loved It . Great neighborhood option which we needed
I was disappointed that although the sign posted at the door required masks of diners, none of the staff we encountered were wearing masks even though City Ordinance required it.
Our reservation asked the type of table we preferred and we requested "table". The host informed us he only had high tops available even though there were several tables open. We insisted upon a table. He then separated 2 tables for 2 and gave us a table. During our stay another couple was seated at the other table for two. No loss to the restaurant.
We ordered a large salad to be shared. We asked the runner for a second plate and he pointed to our tiny bread plates. We indicated we preferred a larger salad plate. He never returned. We asked the host for another plate which he got and threw in front of my husband. Sorry to inconvenience him.
This was our first opportunity to revisit Bridget Foy's since it reopened. The food was excellent but we were disappointed the meatloaf has not returned to the menu. The menu was always minimal but it is really minimal now. Perhaps they are having supply issues. Availability of alcoholic beverages was also poor.
I recommend for the food but not for the service.
Great food and service.
This was our one year anniversary dinner and we were excited to try a restaurant that we haven’t been to yet. We weren’t looking for anything spectacular. Just good food and normal service. The most disappointing aspect of our experience was the service. We barely saw our server and it took forever for the smallest requests like getting our first drink, placing our order, getting our check, etc. despite the fact that it wasn’t a busy night. The food was good but we wouldn’t return.
This was my first visit to Bridget Foy's since they reopened. I went for Sunday brunch. The brunch choices could have been wider, with more plant-based options, but the food was excellent, attractive and came out in a timely manner. The service was stellar. My brunch companion and I loved that we got a bottle of water, free of charge!
Menu was average, the crab hush ouooied were delicious as were the fries and side salad but "fried" chicken sandwich was chewy and kinda soggy. Burgers good
Excellent food and service!!
Had good food, good prices and great service. I eat there everytime I am in Philly for a conference.
Very nice vibe.... Food was solid.... Excellent/ attentive service. We ate in the bar. A bit too loud and too cramped. Eat outside or in the main restaurant.
Great place! Neighborhood favorite - one I return to even from a different residence.
The place is fantastic! The reservation was ready as soon as we got there, service was outstanding, and the food is superb! My husband and I had a great dinner there and we will for sure come back in the future whenever we are in Philly again!
It was great
Food was just okay.
Very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome the moment you arrive. the French onion bruschetta was magnificent. We had the sausage and pepper and onion rigatoni which was absolutely delicious and the pasta with seafood which was also delicious. Really enjoyed the evening.
Terrible service. Was doubtful about going there due to the lower general review, and it should actually be lower.
I had the Short Rib special it was delicious and filling. My server Bianca was bartending also, but was still very attentive. But this will be my last review, since the fire. I will be the first one back when it's rebuild. It has been and always will be my first home away from home, ever since Bernadette told me to stop eating by my self in the dining room and go sit at the bar. That was 13 years ago and I never had a bad time there.
As usual fine dining. Excellent black bean soup, a creamy Mac and cheese. But there is now a deep dish apple pie on the dessert list. Fabulous, great taste and full of apples. I could eat the pie as an entree A great meal in a fine neighborhood restaurant.
Bridget Foy’s is always good, pleasant staff great food, family friendly. Just a good place to be.
Again, my husband and I had a great dinner at Bridget Foys. The service is always good and friendly. It was the first night for the fall menu, which was really good. The brussel sprouts were so tasty - I recommend them highly. Overall, this is a wonderful place for a good dinner. The bar is good and it provides great people watching if you get a table by the windows.
Very good food. I had buck a shuck oysters that were good but small. Fish tacos were delicious.
Celebrated Restaurant Week. Great experience with a great menu b
Great evening. Energetic atmosphere, great food and very pleasant and attentive wait staff.
We went here because they participated in Restaurant Week. Service was great, had filet which was cooked perfect and with it came potato that were cooked different than mashed or baked and were really good. Apple turnover and chocolate desserts were fantastic!
The hostess/ waiter was very cool and energetic. The first thing we ordered was a pitcher of the white sangria. Kinda hard to say how good it was because the pitcher was 70% ice 30% sangria. We came for restaurant week, first course meat loaf slides which was okay, and it was exactly what the menu stated it would be ONE SLICE OF MEAT LOAF CUT INTO 3 PIECES. The roll used was soft but the cup of onions on top of the slider was a little excessive. The clam chowder looked very weird, not what I would consider a chowder to be it was extremely brothy but did have a lot of clams. The next course was a "rib eye" sub and the shrimp diablo. The sub was very dry and the cheese wasn't even melted. The fries were soft and cold. The shrimp diablo was okay. The pasta was a thin spaghetti with a regular marinara sauce, a table spoon of lump crab meat and three over cooked flavorless shrimp. Last but not least dessert we had a mud pie and apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The only thing good about the pie was the crust, the middle was extremely hard and the whip cream had no flavor at all. The apples in the crisp was almost similar to apple sauce and the crumb was very sandy and unpleasant to eat.
My friends and I went here for Restaurant Week. The food was delicious and our server (I believe his name is Kevin) was excellent. It was our first time going there, but we will definitely be back!
I had the restaurant week special, brussel sprouts for an appetizer and the filet as the main course, both were delicious. The filet cut like butter, perfectly cooked.
Got a preview of the Restsutant Week menu. The chowder was fabulous. The tuna toke great. Sorry that the heirloom tomato is running out. There's always next year for tomatos. In the meantime the menu is always great n
Bridget Foy's is our "go to" restaurant. The food is consistently well prepared. The specials are clever and tasty. Lately the fried green tomato salad was brilliant. The staff are fine and friendly. Always a pleasure.
I have been to Bridget 3 times now and each time it has disappointed me. I keep going back, thinking its going to be better because its close and it has a nice outdoor seating area but its food is honestly lackluster.
The service was slow and honestly the food is entirely unimpressive, especially for the price I'm paying. The chicken sandwich during brunch this past week was a small, shriveled and mostly just breading piece of chicken. The shakshuka lacked any originality or flavor. I was highly disappointed by my meal and honestly didn't finish it.
Black Bean burger should not have cheese.....most vegetarian or vegan do not eat dairy.
Let customers know when they order one
The food was pretty good and the drinks were amazing. Would definitely go again.
There was a large party of us... 10. We went for brunch. The food was OK, but as soon as someone looked like they were finished their meal the waiter was there to take the plate away, rushing us. The restaurant was empty and there was no need to rush us the way they did. I asked them not to remove our plates until we were all finished, however that didn't stop them. We decided to go someplace else for drinks and dessert. I had to ask for salt and pepper, my eggs were bland.
