We had lunch two days in a row and were extremely pleased with everything. We then decided to have dinner there as well and it was beyond our expectations. Freshest oysters and scallops we have ever had! We will definitely go back next time we are in Maryland.
We have been to Bridges several times for lunch, and this was our first time for dinner. We invited our very best friends to join us. We were seated early (1/2 hour before our reservation time), getting an excellent table close to the water. Everything was wonderful, including our waiter. The only problem we encountered was that we were given the wrong bill. Fortunately, once that fact was discovered by us, it was quickly resolved. Our friends were very impressed with Bridges, and we hope to get together there again in the future.
Went for Restaurant Week and had a terrific dinner. Two of us had the Scallops and Risotto, which was exquisite, and two had the Pork Tenderloin with mashed sweet potatoes, which was a wonderful medley of Fall flavors. The Firecracker Shrimp and Cream of Crab Soup were delicious and the Caesar salad was reliably tasty.
Great place for a lunch or a dinner. This was our first time eating dinner, with another couple. We all enjoyed it, and a "small plate" of fish and chips was HUGE, so that was a plus! The veggie crab soup delicious and the fish special also very good. Service excellent. We were in a corner inside and it was a little noisy. We'd wanted the glass-enclosed room that also opens up in front "wall" to outside, but there was a private party going on in that. We'd eaten lunch twice before, outside, which is really nice also. There are also areas outside just for sitting and having a drink.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon after a soccer game.Great food and great view. We ordered the risotto, the crab cake and the fish and chips. Great portion especially the fish. Also the dessert with the strawberries, cake and ice cream was amazing. Friendly service too. we will go back!
Great location. Was told they were out of bread at 7pm on a Saturday. Also had a 18 inch hair baked into our crab cake. After that appetites were non existent. Manager gave some money off bill for this but none of us wanted to eat anything else after that. Portion sizes were small for rest of our plates. View is great servers were nice just problems with the kitchen this visit.
The lunch menu was limited, but the seafood selections during lunch hours were awesome. The view was spectacular. Service would need more work because our drinks: ice tea and water was not re-filled. Their reservation system was not accurate because I reserved for an open deck and by the water table, but it wasn't available to us by the time we showed up. I would come back for the night light and dinner selections.
I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Bridges with my parents, husband, and 2 teenage sons. The setting is great, make sure you get a table outside facing the water at sunset. Just lovely watching the boats go by and the sun drop into the water. Can't believe I was only a little more than an hour from DC.
Seafood is the specialty, and for good reason, it is very fresh and nicely prepared. We started with coconut shrimp, shrimp ceviche and firecracker shrimp as a shared appetizer. All were very good although there wasn't that much shrimp in the ceviche given all the sauce. The firecracker shrimp was a large portion and my favorite of the three.
We all had the crab cakes which were filled with crab with almost no filler. Highly recommend. My older teenage son had the pepper crusted NY strip which had a nice crust while still being juicy inside. Very large, he didn't finish it all which means it must have been a hearty size (we took it home and enjoyed it the next day). My other son had the pizza, looked fine, nothing special (but he liked it). We shared the key lime bars (good), fresh fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream (amazing), and chocolate cake (very rich).
Service was excellent, server remembered everything and the delivery of the courses were perfect. She stopped by frequently to check on us without being intrusive.
My only two disappointments--the cappuccino machine was broken (certainly not a big deal but it would have been a nice complement to our delicious desserts) and the mojitos were terrible. Mint was not muddled, it was just thrown in the bottom of the glass, same with the lime, it was just tossed in there. Since not muddled, drink was too sweet. Need to muddle lime and mint, and make sure there is soda water in there to give it some fizz. I would avoid this drink. Otherwise, highly recommend dinner there. We will definitely make this a destination on our way out to Eastern Shore the next time.
My husband and I had a great drive down from Perry Hall, MD. The weather was nice and the Bay Bridge was a little crowded. We arrived at the restaurant with a friendly greeting. We were able to pick where we wanted to be seated because it was not crowded. We sat next to the deck, the doors were open with sun and a nice breeze. We started with a Caesar and Spinach & Arugula salads. Then we ordered Fish & Chips and the Rockfish for dinner. I had Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. Everything was very good! The food was served hot. I am big on the temperature of food. I recommend this place.
One of our favorite places to have lunch on the water. We have never sat inside but the bar and restaurant areas also seem comfortable. We enjoy excellent food and service and Bridges is consistently good. The people are always so friendly and attentive. I miss their Black Cherry Mojitos though ! Hope they brings those back on the menu.
Place is a gem. The bruschetta and crab soup were delicious. I would go so far as to say the bruschetta was the best I have ever had. The outdoor dining was a treat. The bathrooms were clean. The service was fair and the waiter had zero personality. He even forgot a few things and did not clear the table. It was not busy at all. We were right next to the busing station so it should not have been hard for him.
The last time I was there was a year ago for Father's day brunch and I found the food underwhelming. I wanted to treat a client and said "my treat, whereever you suggest". My clients said either O'Leary's or the place with the metal roof. I opted for Bridges (the metal roof) as it has a fabulous view. The meal was amazing! I was very pleasantly surprised as the dishes had flavorful combinations and was excellently prepared. We had a great table overlooking Kent Narrows and the noise level was fine. Bridges gave us warm bread with olive oil and tapenade followed by our orders of salads, melon gazspacho, crab cakes, shrimp & grits, soft shell crab, berry cobbler and key lime tart.
Stopped in for lunch on our way to the beach. Service was extremely slow. They use a runner system and their runner didn't know the table numbers or was misqued when bringing out orders. We started with cream of crab soup which was very good but was barely warm because it had sat out waiting for the runner. My husband had the shrimp Caesar salad which was fresh with perfectly cooked shrimp while I thoroughly enjoyed the the watermelon salad. Although it was off season, there should still be more accountability for the waitstaff.
Our server was fantastic! She was so nice and made the overall dinner more enjoyable. We had a fantastic view and the other staff members are great too. When i looked up after my food arrived a manager was pasding by and proactively asked me if we needed anything (we needed more dressing so she was very observant). Food was great too!
