Bridges Restaurant - MD Ratings and Reviews
This was our second visit to Bridges and it was just as memorable as the first. My husband had rockfish with fried green tomatoes and I had a fresh summer gazpacho followed by grilled scallops on a mushroom risotto. Our waiter, Sean, took the time to check on a wine for us and we weren't disappointed. We loved being able to look out over the water. Thank you.
We made reservations in advance. We were seated promptly. The waitress was friendly, attentive and even remembered us from the last time we were there about a month ago. Everyone said their food was good. We all wanted to order a hammock and just take a nap and continue to enjoy the breeze, the peace and quiet and the view. :-)
I came with 5 lady friends who've known each other since High School. The day was
perfect for sitting out under the covered porch with a lovely water view; the waitress went
above and beyond in her service ( doing separate checks, taking our photos, coming back
to the table at appropriate intervals, and more.)
The food was top-notch - not one complaint. I would strongly reccomend Bridges to
anyone who asks !
We booked a reservation at Bridges for my husband's birthday, because since he had learned of it a few years back, he'd been wanting to go. The prices are moderate to high, depending on what you get. With a cocktail, entree, and/or dessert and coffee, prepare for approximately $35-$50 per person. But the food was delicious, the decor relaxed and friendly, the waiter we had was attentive enough and efficient and the ambiance was good. We sat out on the front terrace in adirondack chairs after our meal and listened to a guitarist play some old and new favorites. The sun was setting on the Chesapeake and it wasn't too hot. All in all, a wonderful experience for a special occasion. We will go back to try other dishes and listen to some more music this summer.
My wife and I made the short drive across the bridge from Annapolis to Bridges. Great place for a romantic dinner, great scenery, and great service. Food was fantastic. We started with the Tuna Sashimi. I have had this other places and has been OK at best. At Bridges the tuna was the right temperature and rare just like it should be served. Other places try to heat this dish up and actually cook it, not at Bridges. We had the pineapple salmon and rockfish, both were excellent. The Pineapple Salmon was unique and a great find. I have had the rockfish dish other places the same way, but this seems to be the original and much better then the other places. Plus it was half price wine night, so that was an added bonus, not to mention the hostess looked at the open table reservation and wished us a happy anniversary, put us at the right table and with the best waiter. Well done!!! I wish I could remember the waiters name but extremely helpful and honest about the menu and made great suggestions and was very attentive. Great job. I would recommend this place for a special occasion, but we plan to go back for lunch, brunch and other times as it looked and felt like you could have a great time there no matter what the occasion. Very nice restaurant.
Watermelon salad was amazing as were the scallops, and coconut shrimp. Crab dip was good, but better before when it was smoother. Someone else said it was too smooth before. Can't please everyone. Wine selections are awesome and they have good wines by the glass.
Another great evening at BRIDGES at the Kent Narrows on the Chesapeake. We were lucky to have C.C. as our server, who is by far one of the best in the business!! Our table was ready right on time, in a great location so that we could gaze out at the water and the boats as they went by and a glimpse of the sunset just as a storm was approaching! Appetizers were the Crispy Fried Calamari and the Scallops with Asparagus Salad., shared by everyone.....and enjoyed by all as well. The entrees chosen (by 3)....Filet Mignon, each prepared and served exactly as ordered highlighted by the roasted mushroom demi and (by 1) Crab Cakes Entrée....which still is probably the very best available on the Bay!, with large chunks of crab lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly. Desserts were a nice finish (Chocoflan is a new offering and was certainly large enough for 2 people and delicious). Bridges is masterfully managed my Michael and he continues to make himself available to the guests and constantly checking with the guests to be sure that everyone is enjoying their dinners. Live entertainment was on hand in the bar area of the restaurant that was also quite enjoyable. Nice job by all!
Our go-to place for a stop on the way to Rehoboth Beach and a stop heading home. Sensational fresh soft-shell crab sandwich with a wonderful bun. Very lovely view of the water. Our waiter, John, was absolutely tops--helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back.
Extremely attractive setting with views of the water from every location. The servers are very attentive and were quick to remedy an incorrect order. The lunch menu portions are nicely sized and well prepared. Our party of six had no complaints about their food and despite the large room size we were able to converse and not disturb others or be disturbed by them. A bit pricey but will probably go again.
Food was good. The dessert was marginal, it came from a pre-prepared box so it wasn't as fresh as I would have thought it should have been. The inside dining room was extremely loud. For the price, it really wasn't worth it. Not likely to go back unless it is a free meal.
This was our first visit to the area and we chose this place because it was close to the hotel and looked nice. Went in for a light dinner on a Friday night and had salads, drinks and desert. The food and service was so good, we decided to have a full dinner there the following night. They did not disapoint. The Crab Cakes were excellent, the wine well paried and the service very attentive. The bar area was packed both times with a pretty active crowd but it didn't really impose too much on the dinning area as far as noise. Very enjoyable experience.
Nice place - but cement floor and high ceilings contribute to high noise level. Add a live musician and the roar of a Friday night Fish Fry crowd and it's noisy. Annoyingly so, but hey, it was a Friday night..... Not the most comfy furniture - wood tables / chairs, no pads on chairs - had to ask for a pillow for an older guest. Sat near the water view but dark shade blinds were down for private party room you have to look through for you water view. Food was good, portions were good sized (big Fish Fry served on a bed of fries w/slaw & tartar sauce . Cream of Crab soup was good, clams were good, fish fry was very good. Prices are borderline ok - bill was $100 for 3 people with 3 drinks.
Great family dinner. Good table. Bridges wasn't as noisy as I had recalled, perhaps because porch was open for dinner. We were very satisfied. Our waitress seemed over-worked. Only displeased aspect: the only NA beer was O'Douls, bottom of the heap for NA beers. Becks and Buckler are preferable.
Went for Easter brunch. There was nothing special about the brunch menu and mimosa's were $5 a piece! Omelet came with no toast or sides - completely bland and just warm. Have had lunch here and liked it - not the place for brunch and certainly not for Easter.
The service is consistently great, as is the food. I've had around ten items off of the menu and all were amazing including the filet mignon, rockfish, short rib, calamari appetizer and shrimp. Everything is a bit expensive, but with the view and quality of the experience, it's worth every penny. Great place to take a date or that special someone...
I had read about Bridges, and, as a get away for Valentine's Day I took my love up to stay at the Hilton and dine at this wonderful restaurant.
Paul was very attentive all night, even though the restaurant was fully booked (that and Winter Storm Neptune raged outside)
We shared the Blue Crab dip (with a cocktail each), and both had the Rock Fish; finishing with yet another cocktail.
A beaut night, a great meal, with wonderful company.
I highly recommend Bridges, if you live close (or 120 miles away, like us)
My wife and I ate at Bridges for lunch on Valentine's Day. A snow squall hit right within moments of us sitting down, lending to the atmosphere. The food was interesting and tasty. My wife had a roast beef sandwich which she thought was made top-notch by the horseradish. My chicken sandwich done bruschetta style was quite good. Lunch was a pleasant experience.
It is too bad that we have had two straight poor crab harvest or else I would have tried crab. Perhaps next years harvest will be much better.
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxed lunch in this casual place with great views. We started with the fried calamari which were light and crispy. Our one complaint, there weren't very many of them! We needed more! I enjoyed the salmon BLT with a side salad. The fish was fresh, the piece was generous and it was perfectly cooked. My husband had the fish and chips from the small plates menu. The portion was huge! The fish was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and fries were hot and crispy. Service was fast and friendly.
It had been several months since we were able to take the drive down to the Kent Narrows of the Chesapeake Bay, and it was worth the time! Another fantastic dinner enjoyed by all. Our server (C.C.) was fantastic and time out the service time of the multiple courses perfectly. Appetizers chosen this evening were the firecracker shrimp and calamari(the best on the eastern shore) and were enjoyed by all. Dinner choices this evening were Filet Mignon for the ladies, both were very pleased with their choices, BBQ Pork Shank, received kudos, and Crab Cakes, which were superb. Even the sautéed spinach was exceptional (perfectly prepared and seasoned very lightly). Deserts were banana bread pudding and the brownie with ice cream......again, very enjoyable. This establishment continues to be top notch.
I saw the brunch menu on Bridges website and decided to make a reservation for Sunday brunch in celebration of the Baltimore Ravens win. I was disappointed to learn that the menu on the website was a different and smaller menu, which meant no oysters benedict. The view was great but obstructed by the deck railing. My food was good I will be back in season to try again.
