Bridges Restaurant - MD
All the seafood dishes are delicious, service is exceptional and love sitting near the fireplace on a cold winter day
Took my wife and sister to lunch. They were both disappointed in the salads. I had the turkey sandwich, which was good. The crab soup was very good.
Yes the view is beautiful! My husband and I drive from Columbia, Maryland to try this restaurant that sits on the bay right beyond the Bay Bridge. We love oysters and found this place had them. We ordered 2 dozen and they were excellent. We also ordered the Seared Scallops and Short Ribs which was also absolutely delicious. The highlight of the evening was the dessert...I ordered the lemonberry cake with Mascarpone cheese layered in the middle and it was no doubt the best cake I have ever eaten in my life! We will be back for sure! Service was great😊
We met friends at Bridges for a noon Saturday lunch. Soon after we ordered the place filled up, which caused our order to be delayed to the point where we almost opted to leave. Fortunately this did not happen. All enjoyed the food and we never felt rushed.
Will we return? The answer is yes.
Great service, fantastic food and loved the decor and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
Love the food here! It's hard to talk to guests when the restaurant is busy, very noisy, but otherwise, a great place!
the food is always great, love the water view, and casual atmosphere
New Years Eve
Always enjoy dinner at The Bridges. Really great seafood and just a really nice restaurant. Our table was right by the fireplace, so that was an added bonus.
Food was good but it was cold had to be redone silverware was dirty appetizer also was cold was really recommended a good place but didn’t impress me won’t be back
Simply put, they get everything right here. The menu has something for everyone and a great wine menu as well. Our server Stefan was genuinely friendly and paced the meal to our liking. Seafood dishes seem to be the best menu items including rockfish, salmon and shrimp and grits at our table. The entrees are creative and are presented quite nicely. The only drawback is that it’s a big restaurant which lends itself to high noise levels. It was hard to hear my dinner guests as a result.
We were there after dark in December, so we can't really comment on the views, but I know the area and the person who recommended Bridges to us specifically raved about the scenic overlook. It's off the main road, and behind a marina, so it's a little lacking in "curb appeal", but perfectly in character with other Eastern Shore seafood venues. The staff was superb, although in giving us time to enjoy ourselves, they actually left us a little *too much* alone. Nonetheless, the food was fantastic, the ambiance pleasant, and we had a great evening. Will definitely consider Bridges again when I am in the area.
Great waiter. Friendly, allowed us time to catch up, recommended good wines and great service. Good crab cake and ribs
Really good Chesapeake seafood with outstanding views of the Bay & Harbor. Bright & open.Friendly service. Especially liked the Steamed Clams with Chorizo appetizer. Perfect size for lunch.
We went to Bridges after discovering that the restaurant we had planned to go to was closed for the season. We are so glad we did. The food was so wonderful, the decor was beautiful and the server we had was great! Going back again next year!
I'm sure the views are awesome during the day. We went in the evening so we missed those. Our waiter was nice and observant but forgot to tell us the specials or bring us bread. Cream of crab soup had decent flavor but was pretty thin. Scallops were excellent as was the berry salmon but the brussel sprouts could have been cooked a minute longer. I'd go back and try again as i've heard many good things about them.
We go for the food. It is a little pricey so it is a special occasion dinner location for us. Never had a bad meal. Service is good and food is always delivered in a timely manner.
Just a nice play to be
Made reservations, had to wait more than 20mins... limited menu... service not in synch with meal... drinks late, wine late... noise is horrible... chairs rubbing on wood floor make for constant, abrupt, obnoxious noise... view is only saving grace... go to The Fisherman or Annie’s instead...
Great lunch with friends. The food was delicious, service excellent and easy conversation with friends because it was not overly loud.
enjoyed the time there, and was nice to be able to sit outside afterwards and soak up some sun. The waitress was terrific and made sure that everything was just right. Kudos to her.
We had appetizers soup and meal from small plate menu and dessert. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted great. Presentation lacked some, as it was difficult getting to the side of fries with fish on top without knocking something off plate.
We did enjoy ourselves and will be back
Bridges as definitely become our favorite spot in the Kent Island area. Great food and nice views. We love the bar seating for dining and/or drinking - especially when Katie is working; she is awesome and always makes us feel special.
We have eaten at Bridges on many occasions since their initial opening. The food has been very good, but recently it appears that attention to detail and pride in the dishes served has decreased to the level of barely acceptable. Perhaps the kitchen has run out of ideas that can improve flavor and instead has focused on presentation. Presentation does not make up for mediocre taste. We live in the area, but are hesitant to go back for anything beyond bar munchies. We wish it weren’t so.
WAY TOO LOUD! Made a good meal hard to enjoy.
Worth the drive from Tysons Corner! My perfect place for my birthday celebration!
Date night with friends 2018.09.14 Return visit to an exceptional restaurant operation. Soup prior to dinner were cream of crab and cream of mushroom. All noted how really tasty the soups were and the crab meat content of the cream of crab was bountiful. Chosen entrees were filet mignon and crab cakes. Both were great and prepared excellently and included asparagus or green beens, both very tender, which seems to be a challenge for most other restaurants. Service by C.C. was magnificant. Very attentive, and seemed to know what we needed before we did!. Great operation under the supervision of General Manager Michael Moon, who truly has a well oiled machine pumping out great food and super service. Highly recommend this great restaurant.
The only better than the fantastic water view is the great food and service. Our favorite place for a date. Can’t for our next visit!
Went here for a birthday dinner. This was the second time at this restaurant. Very consistent, good service and delicious food. The mozzarella tomato balsamic and basil appetizer was so delicious! And of course the wind was on point!
My family enjoys dining at Bridges. It is so relaxing looking at the water and watching the boats go by while you are eating.
As always, Bridges is a great restaurant. Usually we fine for dinner, but this time it was lunch for the family and everything was great...as always.
Really great experience. Crab cake was delicious. Shrimp and grits was very good, although could have used more grits! Beautiful views inside and out.
Great views, good seafood, but limited options for people with seafood allergies.
Great evening dining on the outside deck. Although we missed the usual beautiful sunsets due to an earlier shower, the temperature was perfect. Views of water and boats returning for the evening add to the ambiance.
Wide selection of beer and wine. Starters large enough to share. Our daughter-in- law and I shared the watermelon salad which they served in individual plates so we didn't have to do ourselves. My son and husband shared the traditional mussels and our waiter, Schyler, made sure they had extra bread to dip in the flavorful mussel broth.
Our entrees featured local crab cakes and soft shell crabs and we're both excellent. My husband had one of his favorites, the shrimp and grits, and would highly recommend it. Although it is listed on the menu as a small plate the serving was more than ample.
The inside can be very noisy but with the deck dining you can easily talk with friends and also hear the live music in the background. Would highly recommend making reservations if wanting an outside table or coming on the weekends.
Change of menu would be a good idea we stop there a lot.
Great scenic location on the Kent Narrows with great food and service
The atmosphere was amazing sitting next to the water and listening to the band! The band was quiet enough to still have a conversation. But the service was slow. It took about 15 min to get our first round of drinks and the portions were smaller than I was expecting. We did not take our children but I felt it was a suitable place to do so. I'd like to try again and hopefully have better service.
Great view and even better food and drinks
I had a wonderful experience at Bridges! The food, ambiance, and service was amazing! I ordered the stuffed shrimp and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!
Beautiful sunset views, a great place to dine el fresco on a summer evening.
