About
Out door dining was great!!
This restaurant is in the lobby of the Wyndam Hotel. It is an updated version of a Coco's and the food is horrible!!!
They don’t honor open table reservations! The hostess told me this very loudly in front of other people who had walked in without reservations, so everyone seemed angry with me for trying to cut ahead. They need to fix this with open table and not take it out on me. Also, even though there were plenty of available tables, it was taking them forever to seat people.
Nice place that I would return to again in the future.
From start to finish it was awful. I waited fifteen minutes before anyone sat me. Then the waitress didn’t come over for ten minutes. She brought our group water with no ice. The food was awful and more than. Likely was microwaved.
It was fine, and the server was prompt and attentive, but I was hoping for really excellent food and it wasn’t. It was just ok.
Typical hotel cafe.
Food was great and Marcus was one of the best servers we have ever had.
Sadly disappointing experience at Bridges. Made the reservation through OpenTable, but host/server was taken by surprise by our arrival and seemed inconvenienced by it. Restaurant had only 3 other tables being served, but our waiter was obviously stressed. I believe they were understaffed. We waited 45 minutes for our food, which arrived barely warm. Fried calamari served lukewarm is a bad idea. Ordered the ravioli for an entree, it was dry, warm and flavorless. My friend had the fish and chips which proved the only highlight of the meal as it was actually hot when served. The big finish to the experience was the credit card machine was not working. Overall, a negative experience. I would suggest the Wyndham Hotel look into improving this dining option ASAP as it brings the overall quality of their hotel down.
Impressive atmosphere fine dining. Great food. Kid friendly.
Waiter was excellent- he juggled a ton of responsibility with ease!
We were staying at the hotel and had breakfast here. The omelet station was the highlight of the buffet breakfast. There were many choice ingredients to add to the omelet and the omelet maker was an excellent chef with a great personality. The buffet included fresh fruit, cinnamon roll french toast that was good, scrambled eggs, very good breakfast potatoes, sausage, and bacon. A server brought us our choice of juices and coffee or tea, which were an additional cost.
Four of us ate dinner at Bridges after our child's graduation from Pitt. The Rueben sandwich was excellent, the salad with grilled chicken was very good, the warm spinach dip was very good, and the guys enjoyed the burgers with fries.
Very good!!
Spent Thanksgiving dinner here. Buffet style, the food was terrific, from salad through dessert. Prie fixe. Good service.
Three of us had very simple lunches. The food was good and the conversation was better. Thanks in most part to the quiet table and the professional wait staff who recognized the purpose of our meeting and gave us ample latitude. Parking was easy and free... another value, especially on a snowy afternoon!
Went to buffet for Thanksgiving, very good food choices, was very casual atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Had a great time, would go back again. Hard to find the phone number to call, should have more advertising online, if this wasn't on open table, I would have never gone there.
We were looking for a restaurant for dinner as opposed to sandwiches. Originally, we were disappointed. The restaurant at 8:30 PM was dead. The waiter was very attentive and we sat on the deck. It was a gorgeous night and the deck was beautiful. The menu had mostly sandwiches/salads/lunch items and only three dinner items which was disappointing. There were no specials. We ordered salads and they were terrific. I would not recommend for a nice dinner as there were really no options but for salads and sandwiches - PERFECT! We'll definitely be repeat customers as our son is a Pitt student.
We went for Mother's Day Brunch, as last year was very good. This year was not as good. The good selection was more limited, last year they crepes, and the desserts were not as good. Last year they had the best chocolate cake ever. Fresh fruit and a wider selection of vegetables would improve the buffet selection immensely. The good that they did serve was good and well done. We sat outside which was very delightful and much more quiet than inside.
No bartender working. Service slow. Waitress poured half glass of wine and charged me the full price. Parking horrible. Food acceptable.
Very good burger. And it was very quiet because there were few people in the restaurant.
In hotel dining without frills. A restaurant with a simple purpose to feed guests good food.
first time here.......Gloria, our waitress, was terrific......the food was really, really, good.....an overall very enjoyable experience.
Great food!!! Would definitely go again. Brunch was sooo good!
Family holiday away from home. Found this on Open Table. Outstanding! The brunch menu was very extensive. The food was excellent. The omelette maker was outstanding. Our family Easter was brightened by this meal.
Mothers Day Brunch was outstanding. The diniing hall is large and attractive. Food stations are nicely spaced with items ranging from brunch to dinner. Roast beef was outstanding, vegetables fresh, desserts memorable.
Folks-
The event was Mother's Day brunch and not only did Bridges Pittsburgh allow for special arrangments for one of the guests at the table, but they had a smile on their faces the whole time. It was great and we'll certainly be back.
Thanks for checking in.
Food was not very good - looked much better than it tasted. The cost was outrageous compared to the taste/quality and selection of the food. Our waitress seemed disgruntled - not very friendly even though she received an automatic 18% gratuity on our table of three - maybe if tips were earned rather than predetermined she would have been more friendly. I was very disappointed with quality of food and service. It was a disappointing Easter outing.
We went for Easter Brunch. The service was very good and the food was too. . Large selection. Very reasonably priced and they didn't pack you in like sardines or rush you (like some restaurants do for a holiday).
I took my family here for Easter Brunch and it was very good. I would have liked to see a little more variety in the hot foods section. Overall I had a very pleasant experience, and will return
It was a very slow friday night (2 other tables other than ours). The service was great, however, they had no other tables to wait on.
The food was good, but not great. For the price, I expected better taste and better presentation. The best thing we had was the chicken nachos appetizer.
The restaurant was nice, but you could still tell it was a hotel restaurant - nothing made it stand out apart from the hotel.
Because the price was rather high for ordinary tasting food, the location (parking could be an issue) and the hotel-ish atmosphere, I probably would not recommend friends to eat here.
The bartender David was a GEM! He was knowledgeable, and very pleasant. We enjoyed his company so much - we skipped our reservation in the main dining room and ate at the bar to chat with him thru dinner! Food was fantastic.
I walked in to this restaurant, discovered that it was a cheesy hotel bar and left without dining. Open table should be reserved for foodie or Fine Dining establishments, not for run of the mill Holiday Inn Bars...
Very good quality to price ratio and excellent service.
This buffet was in a banquet room. It was not in the restaurant, as advertised on the web site. The selection of food was not what I expected, especially the salad choices. I would not recommended this event.
We went there for Easter Brunch. We were seated upon arrival - they were very busy. There was a wide variety of breakfast and lunch food. Food was hot. Service was great (and there were 17 of us). We would definitely go back.
We went to Bridges in the Holiday Inn not knowing what to expect since I booked it online. The whole family was impressed with everything. It was Easter Brunch and it was fabulous! Will definitely go again when we're back in Pittsburgh.
this restaurant is located in a hotel and does not offer a routine Sunday brunch but they did a great job on Mother's day. Every item was cooked to perfection and no lack of detail was seen. I will be back to sample their menu; they obviously have a great chef!
The food was overall very good, tasty. I was surprised at all of the fish selections and worth the price per person. Our server on the other hand left a lot to be desired. We all sat down together, but she only took half the drink orders, we never got coffee or water refils. Anytime we needed something extra, we had to go and find her, and then to finish the afternoon, she charged my credit card twice and I had to wait 4 days for it to clear off of my account!!! I'd like to note that the restaurant was half empty at the time we were there, so I don't think the lack of attention was because of overwhelming amounts of customers. So thank you for adding the 18% tip onto my bill for a party of 7 for service that was awful!!!
The lamb chops were very good. The chef was able to accommodate my gluten and dairy in tolerances. That was greatly appreciated.
