About

This restaurant is permanently closed.

Brick & Bottle is a Michelin guide recommended classic Californian fare restaurant in Madera. While the menu is exceptional, a popular favorite is the prix fixe three-course meal which changes to take advantage of whatever is freshest. There is also a happy hour menu in addition to the dinner menu.

There are a number of notable items on the Brick & Bottle dinner menu. For example, the house ground beef burger is made with a combination of short rib, chuck and brisket for an exceptional flavor. A number of add-ons are available to customize your burger to your liking, such as brie, coleslaw, three types of aioli, fried egg, avocado, blue cheese, goat cheese, caramelized onion and more. The menu at Brick & Bottle also includes wood stone oven gourmet pizza, steaks and many more main entres.

nice but very quiet for a Saturday night. Used to be lively and crowded. Food still good.

The entire evening went very well. We did have a reservation, were seated immediately, and had excellent service. We each had a drink and were served with some wonderful bread. Our salads arrived in good time and the rest of our meal as well. We split a salad and were surprised by the large portions. Wonder what a full salad would have been like. The entrée arrived at the right time and was excellent. All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is that it was a bit noisy...

This a great local spot with a hot bar and a great menu. Their Monday night special is always fun and tasty! It's easily a top choice.

If you're not seated at the bar, no happy hour prices for you!
The place smelled like bleach. Although that might read "clean", it's Not appetizing.
The food was meh. You get what you pay for. Average priced food. Average service. I prefer Above average.

We always enjoy eating at Brick & Bottle, and recently took some out-of-town family to dinner there. Interesting menu, fun wine list, terrific service and yummy food.

Very quick and attentive service and tasty food. Kid friendly environment and full bar with good cocktail options. Located in a mini mall but still fine ambiance for tired parent date night

We had a group of four adults and three kids. We weren't cramped into a few tables that were pushed together- we had a spacious booth, so nice!!! One of the adults has some serious allergies and they were incredibly accommodating. I recommend!

We always enjoy coming to Brick and Bottle. Our kids love their cheese pizza, pasta and burger. My absolute favorite is the ahi tuna tartare appetizer, however I substitute crustini bread instead of the kettle chips that normally come with it. It is the best!!

We always have so much fun at Brick & Bottle. They have a great happy hour menu, a great drinks list, and are both elegant and affordable. My four-year-old also loves it, and the staff is so nice to us.

My wife and I came here for a Valentine's Day dinner. We were very pleased with the table we received. Our waiter was a young fellow who seemed eager to please us. However, he must not have been too experienced, or else the restaurant staff is just not able to handle a full house. (I refer to this as "staffed for failure.") In any event, after a good start with drinks and our entree orders (we both ordered the surf and turf special-very good!) he sort of disappeared. Other staff members brought our salads and later our entrees. Still no waiter to order a bottle of wine. Finally we flagged him down and ordered a bottle, but then after no bottle five or ten minutes later (we're nearly done eating by now) we ordered by the glass instead. Finally we each added dessert, a butterscotch pudding for me that I thought was great. At the very end, though, the waiter added the wrong charge for these desserts, so we had to request an adjustment. He was a very nice guy but just not ready for prime time. Too bad because the food is really quite good.

While I would not go out of my way to get to Brick & Bottle, since I live not too far away I might go again. We had very good service, but the atmosphere was dominated by the broadcast of a Warriors game. No intimacy to speak of. Our food was tasty, but nothing extraordinary, and the portions were relatively small. The dessert menu needs some work. My flourless chocolate cake, for example, was very small and covered in a saccharine berry-flavored sauce of some kind. A real dessert chef would be a big plus.

We eat there often and have always enjoyed it. I had the prime rib and it was perfect as was the creamed spinach and scalloped potatoes. However, they couldn't quite get my wife's skirt steak medium rare. It came out well done and was taken back for another try. The second one was better on the fat end but well in the thinner portion. Never had that problem before. Will order rare next time

Tend to go here before a 7 pm book club at Book Passage. Although it's super convenient, I wouldn't repeatedly eat here if the food wasn't good. Have had the salads, pizza, burgers, fish, pork but my new favorite is the appetizer size P.E.I. Mussels with Andouille Sausage, Toybox Tomatoes, Cilantro-Fennel Broth, Grilled Olive Sourdough. So delicious and filling.

The bar area looks fun, and liked the TVs showing Bay Area sports (Go Warriors!).

We needed a place to meet a friend who lives further away and was familiar with the area around our home and this excellent neighborhood standard jumped to the front. Great food, private tables, attentive staff, and a very welcoming place to meet and enjoy the ambiance, which easily enhanced our time together. It's easy to find, visible but not garish, and very accessible.

Pate appetizer was really good. Orzo Mac n chesse was rich and creamy - a good side dish to share. Brussel sprouts -also really good. I have not seen free corkage offer in a long time - I wish more restaurants would offer this.

We had a movie to get, the hostess informed our server and she sped things along without ever making us feel rushed. We each had a Pizza, they were generously sized, crust was delicious and crisp, and the fresh basil a treat. We enjoyed watching the open kitchen also. We will definitely be back!

Mac and cheese really tasty. Ask them to add bacon. Steak cooked perfectly. Lobster tail more like a longastino. A bit noisy, even though I requested booth in back room. Everyone out celebrating with friends and family. Nice to have parking

We are frequent customers and in the past, the restaurant was quite good in service and food. Recently, we found some unpleasant developments.

First, a group of customers were shouting/talking extremely loud and no one actually told them to quiet down. Second, our waitress got our drinks, and desserts wrong. Third, we ordered three hamburgers (medium) but turned out to be dry and fully well-done. I was not sure whether this is the fault of the chef or the waitress.

It was one of our favorite restaurants but our recent experience was a disappointment. Hope it is not going to be a permanent phenomenon.
