Bricco Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
Went here for my boyfriends birthday, we’ve come here before and it’s one of our go to’s for pretty much anything. Everything is always amazing and we love that on Mondays they do half priced bottled wine! We ordered the antipasto which was def more than enough for two and two entrees. We loved them both. In my reservation I had asked for a certain place to be sat and the hostess was nice enough to make sure it was where I had wanted. I had also asked for a candle in my boyfriends dessert and the waitress (who was very attentive and nice) remembered without me having to even ask. Overall the experience was wonderful and I always recommend this restaurant to all of my friends.
This is a restaurant that everyone should visit. The staff, the food, the bartenders are all wonderful. We visit often as a couple and as a family. We’ve never had a negative experience in anyway. Make reservations for your own convenience and if the opportunity arises have dinner or lunch at the bar.
Reservations were made, we were seated promptly.. our server was wonderful! He took the time to deal with food allergies and was very pleasant and patient with our group of 6. Food was delicious, hot, and served in a timely fashion. Our water glasses were never empty! Great experience!
We enjoy consistently good meals here. Both lunch and dinner is always excellent. Cocktails are very good and generously poured. Their menu is very similar to Max Amore down the street but they put their unique twist on many similar dishes and these make them stand out as different. Service is always excellent. Reservations definitely recommended on any night except maybe Sunday, and parking can be challenging at times although they do offer valet parking on busy nights. I highly recommend the Sunday Ragu! Comfort food at it's best!
Very disappointed with the dinner this time. Haven't been in a while and really wasn't happy with the experience this time. The service was poor, we waited close to 15 minutes for our drink order. Both salad and dinner orders got messed up between our server and the kitchen. We and our friends were not happy about the evening. It was very noisy as well so not much to say that made us want to come back.
My sister wanted Italian, I needed a place with a varied menu as I have dietary restrictions, and we wanted a nice place. Bricco Trattoria was perfect. Love the menu - so many great selections. Everything we ate was outstanding, and there were five of us, so we had several of the dishes. Service was very good, too.
Very, very, very good food -- the lamb meatballs alone are reason enough to make the trip.
But the noise level was completely out of control on this particular visit, and the sense of barely controlled chaos left us feeling frazzled by the time we left. We know and understand this isn't the place to go for hushed dining -- but if not for those amazing lamb meatballs, and a kale salad that was particularly memorable, and the raves from across the table about the short ribs, we have decided we simply cannot dine here at the end of the week again.
Amazing food, energetic atmosphere, clearly a hot spot to eat on a Saturday night, but in the future we'll opt for Mondays and Tuesdays instead so we can actually chat -- and hear each other -- while we eat.
Outstanding food + outstanding service (Kimberly) + terrific ambience on a cold night. The only reason I didn't put in 5 stars for food was the wine. What I would call a "cheap wine". Two glasses gave me a headache AND a hangover all in the same meal. The wine (La Maialina Getrude) actually retails for $9.00 in a wine store. I didn't know that until afterwards. I should have taken the Villa Antinori.
disappointed as I do not eat pork and there was not much for me on the menu to chose from, the seafood was limited to 3 things that I do not eat, I asked for eggplant and was told it's only made on Sunday, most restaurants try to acommodate the customer, the waitress offer me chicken but cut in chunks with sauce, I asked if the sauce had meat and she did not know, did not offer a grilled breast . I chose the squash ravioli which it was swimming in sauce, I am not a big sauce person, in most restaurants the ravioli's are a good size and comes with very little sauce, this ones were very small ,
I order a mojito and I send it bak as it did not have any flavor at all, the second one was just the same, the canolies, were hard and the filling was dry and had no flavor, I did mention this to the server and she ignord me, most places they would have credit for the canolies as we did not eat them, the crisp apple with ice cream was good, thank god!! the rest of the order were just ok, I have been at Bricco's before and that's why we chose the restaurant but I think it will be my last time
I always have a delicious meal at Bricco. Some of my favorite dishes are the josie meatballs, the ragu sauce, the sausage pizza and my favorite salad of any restaurant, the toscana. Our waiter this visit was very accommodating , helpful and friendly. Thank you.
Bricco Trattoria is our go-to date night spot. We love the location, the ambiance and the food. They have great seasonal cocktails that are absolutely delicious! I will say, this review would have been 5 stars but lately the food has been declining. We order the same appetizer and entrees every visit so the first time we thought it was an off night. But this past time, the bread for our appetizer (the housemade ricotta)was burnt again and was so hard you could barely eat it. The portions are also noticeably decreasing in size. We understand the need to increase prices from time to time and I'd much rather pay a little more than get less. I'm hoping things get better as we really love coming here!
This is my favorite restaurant, I always try something different and every time it's been delicious. We always get the calamari, it comes to our table fast and it's always tender and the best we've ever had, our waitress was great and so were the servers that brought us our dinner
We were able to sit in the smaller back room ( near the front of the restaurant) Better spot to talk with friends - usually the larger, open area of the restaurant gets too noisy. Food was good - one of the member's meal tasted good but not hot ( temp). Wine list ( glass) is a bit pricey for the quality of the wine. Overall, good menu selections and flavor.
Upon arrival we were immediately pleasantly greeted. Then escorted to our table and seated. Our server then came to our table with a complementary drinks to acknowledge our anniversary.
We proceeded to order our meal which was described in detail by our server.
The meal itself was served with professional acumen.
The food was prepared exactly how we ordered it.
In summary, I would highly recommend Bricco for an excellent meal.
I booked this for our 9th wedding anniversary - an extra special occasion because we've been living/working 9 hours apart for the past 6 months and we finally reunited back in CT last weekend. The food was excellent. We started with the fresh ricotta appetizer and I had the carbonara and he had the Sunday ragu; delicious. When making this reservation, I asked if we could make the dessert a little "extra special" because of this "extra" special occasion. I even left my phone number if they wanted to discuss....shoot, I would have been ok with them writing "happy anniversary" on our plate with chocolate sauce, but none of that was done. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed in that. I was also disappointed in the service. The server was not personable and never once were our drinks refilled. My husband had to ask where his drink was after he ordered and she didn't bring it for 10 minutes. By the end of the meal, we were sucking on ice cubes because we weren't able to flag anyone down for a drink.
Bottom line: food was excellent but the service left something to be desired. Next time I might go sit at the bar...
Upscale Italian restaurant. Food is excellent. Service is excellent. The bar area is lively as is the dining space. They have al fresco seating. Great for people watching. It's in a busy area....parking is a bit of a challenge but they have valet on weekends.
