Bricco Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
Everything on the menu at Bricco is above and beyond expectations. The gnocchi is heavenly. We also had the scallops which were huge and cooked to perfection. James was our server and took excellent care of us and was super attentive and very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and making recommendations.
I cannot say enough positive things about Bricco! My friends and I love it for happy hour and my boyfriend and I love it for special occasion dinners. We just went for our two year anniversary and immediately when we sat down we were greeted with complimentary glasses of prosecco which was a really nice surprise! Our server Dana was so thoughtful, accommodating, and sweet. The food was amazing as always! I have never had a remotely negative experience at Bricco and I always look forward to coming back!
Arugula salad with apple and cider vinaigrette was outstanding! My husband just loved the baked rigatoni with sausage. The sweet potato ravioli was delicious - how about adding some wilted greens to the dish for contrast and flavor?? This restaurant is a keeper!
This restaurant is very popular but our experience was mediocre. The clams casino lacked the expected bacon and peppers. Sweet potato ravioli were good but slightly over-sauced. Pork belly appetizer had a nice balance between the apples and brussels sprouts. Sirloin was of good quality but potatoes on the side were ordinary.
The glasses , all of them, were loaded with grit from the dishwasher. the waitress was not really concerned with it and brought back new glasses 10 minutes later. Table had crumbs from the last group. It was new years eve and it was busy but was very disappointed.
We’ve had excellent dinners here in the past. This time, we had lunch with friends and it was just average. Could have been our selection (pizza and sandwiches) that left us underwhelmed, or possibly the time of year (just before Christmas). Service was als lacking. We got the distinct feeling that we were troubling our waiter by asking for simple things. Will still give it another try, but will stick with dinner for more their more inventive dishes.
Us locals gave it one more shot for a meal after a while away and we'll stick to dining elsewhere due to too many extremely inconsistent meals & previous occasions of spotty service at best(after years of far better regular visits) . As we've found once again your meal miles will vary due to persistent inconsistency and an inability to deliver/execute dishes as they get busier. Clueless and careless about food degrees of doneness/overcooked otherwise good ingredients abound. Tired wine list remains virtually unchanged and the menu promises great sounding dishes but too often falls flat or is just plain missing listed components. They will ignore responding when contacting them about your visits so don't bother offering feedback or respectfully express your issues for the throngs of people will continue to go here and they do not need any one individual/company/group's constructive criticism and honest appraisals.
Good food better quality than most. Waiter was very accommodating. I would come back again. I don’t normally have veal park cause most places it’s tough or tasteless or too bready. This was very good with an Italian sauce as good as any in Bay Ridge or Bronx
Went here for my boyfriends birthday, we’ve come here before and it’s one of our go to’s for pretty much anything. Everything is always amazing and we love that on Mondays they do half priced bottled wine! We ordered the antipasto which was def more than enough for two and two entrees. We loved them both. In my reservation I had asked for a certain place to be sat and the hostess was nice enough to make sure it was where I had wanted. I had also asked for a candle in my boyfriends dessert and the waitress (who was very attentive and nice) remembered without me having to even ask. Overall the experience was wonderful and I always recommend this restaurant to all of my friends.
This is a restaurant that everyone should visit. The staff, the food, the bartenders are all wonderful. We visit often as a couple and as a family. We’ve never had a negative experience in anyway. Make reservations for your own convenience and if the opportunity arises have dinner or lunch at the bar.
Reservations were made, we were seated promptly.. our server was wonderful! He took the time to deal with food allergies and was very pleasant and patient with our group of 6. Food was delicious, hot, and served in a timely fashion. Our water glasses were never empty! Great experience!
We enjoy consistently good meals here. Both lunch and dinner is always excellent. Cocktails are very good and generously poured. Their menu is very similar to Max Amore down the street but they put their unique twist on many similar dishes and these make them stand out as different. Service is always excellent. Reservations definitely recommended on any night except maybe Sunday, and parking can be challenging at times although they do offer valet parking on busy nights. I highly recommend the Sunday Ragu! Comfort food at it's best!
Very disappointed with the dinner this time. Haven't been in a while and really wasn't happy with the experience this time. The service was poor, we waited close to 15 minutes for our drink order. Both salad and dinner orders got messed up between our server and the kitchen. We and our friends were not happy about the evening. It was very noisy as well so not much to say that made us want to come back.
My sister wanted Italian, I needed a place with a varied menu as I have dietary restrictions, and we wanted a nice place. Bricco Trattoria was perfect. Love the menu - so many great selections. Everything we ate was outstanding, and there were five of us, so we had several of the dishes. Service was very good, too.
Very, very, very good food -- the lamb meatballs alone are reason enough to make the trip.
But the noise level was completely out of control on this particular visit, and the sense of barely controlled chaos left us feeling frazzled by the time we left. We know and understand this isn't the place to go for hushed dining -- but if not for those amazing lamb meatballs, and a kale salad that was particularly memorable, and the raves from across the table about the short ribs, we have decided we simply cannot dine here at the end of the week again.
Amazing food, energetic atmosphere, clearly a hot spot to eat on a Saturday night, but in the future we'll opt for Mondays and Tuesdays instead so we can actually chat -- and hear each other -- while we eat.
