When we visit NYC this is our go to place. Very nice people, very good food and the Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2013 an excellent wine recommendation.

Super traditional Italian food with a real old school feel. The waiters and host were really hospitable. Prices were very reasonable. I went with 2 friends and we all got different pasta entrees and which were really yummy. The only criticism I have is that the salads left much to be desired.

Second time there. We had a very early rez in order to make a 7pm theater start. On 56th street they should be used to pre-theater diners, but it was very slow. Food came quickly once we finally tackled a waiter so we could order. And I practically had to print the bill out myself so we could pay and leave. The previous time we were there, at a more normal hour, was much better.

I went to Bricco mid-week because it was located close to the Columbus Circle subway and near the Downton Abbey exhibit. I had been there years ago and remembered it was good, but oh boy has it changed. The service was spectacularly bad. We were basically ignored the entire night. We were sitting for about 20 minutes before anyone came to take an order from us, and then we waited about a half hour between courses - and we usually had to flag someone down to take away plates after we were finished with a course. The food was meh - nothing special about it. I will never go back.

A very nice Italian bistro with some great food. We enjoyed the minestrone soup and the linguine puttanesca. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive.

The appetizers, octopus and buratta were good and nice portion. The glutton free spaghetti
a la Bolognese was all chopped up - when I questioned the bartender (we decided to eat at the bar) he just said that is the way it is.....the sauce lack flavor.
The restaurant was not crowded and the bar area had a total of 5 people but we had to call out to the bartender every time we needed service - very disappointing.

Our waiter was very rude and unprofessional. He and whom I only suspected was the manager were very rude over us asking to split our bill. The manager tossed my bill/credit card onto the table and walked away. Tried to keep charging for an extra pizza that was not placed. Sorry don’t think I’ll go back.

We have been to Bricco frequently over the last 6 years. Food and service have deteriorated. This time it was truly awful. The rollatni was cold inside. The pork chop overdone an tasteless. The service was horrible. We arrived at 6:15pm but didn’t get our main course until 7:25pm. We had to leave at 7:40pm for a concert at Carnegie Hall. We will never be back.

Our meal was very good and there was no rush to clear the table and sit the next party. When we first arrived, we were a little surprised that no one offered to sit us. It took about 10 minutes to get someone to greet us, but after getting seated, the staff was very attentive. Will certainly return.

We ended up here on a Saturday night, we were able to get a last minute reservation. Unfortunately there was a wedding party in the private room upstairs and I'm assuming they were short-staffed because it took over a half hour just to get menus. They kept refilling our waters but we just wanted to put in a drink order. We ended up ordering one course because we could tell we would be there all night if we tried to order multiple things. We were only served one drink, they never even came back to ask if we wanted another. Food was "meh" and we were just happy to get out of there before midnight.

Been here before. We arrived early and were seated immediately. Service started fast but there were some gaps after we had our main course. Food was very good (appetizer, salads and main course), but dessert was not very good. Chocolate Souffle was dry. Cappuccino was the hottest we had ever had in our lives. Overall very good even with the dessert issue.

A friend and I were looking for a quiet place for lunch new Columbus Circle. Luck of the draw we chose Bricco where she had eaten before, generally in the evening on business dinners. We were delighted by our lunch. We both had the calamari appetizer which was cooked perfectly. Since it's so easy to overcook, that was a particular treat. Our pastas and salads were all delicious. We both agreed that happily return the next time we had lunch plans in the area - particularly since the prices were quite reasonable. A big plus was that we were easily able to converse without having to shout over a noisy environment.
