The food was disappointing for its value. The pasta was overcooked, the pizza was bland, and the dessert was still frozen. I also had called ahead to ask the manager to bring out a birthday dessert for a member of our party and the waiter had not been informed.
Good food at reasonable prices.
Entrees very good
Great people -very friendly
Roberto went above and beyond to print out tickets for me; saved me a trip back to the east side to get them.
Friendly service, it’s all about friendly service!
I have now been to Bricco on quite a few occasions and always find it to be a very pleasant experience. The grilled octopus was fantastic, the broccoli and potato soup quite delicious, and the pappardelle with veal ragout superb.
Not as pretentious or expensive as many of NY's Italian restaurants, but a solid performer with good appetizers (both octopus appetizers and a fresh anchovy special were good) and pasta dishes.
The food was wonderful and the host seated us almost an hour early at our request due to our schedule changing. It was a nice meal overall. I would recommend the restaurant to others.
I was expecting good quality to be better. The shrimp tasted frozen and the ravioli filling was cold.
our meal was delicious.
everyone was friendly and the service
was very good.
will definitely return and can’t wait to
try another dish.
thank you for making our night out so
When we visit NYC this is our go to place. Very nice people, very good food and the Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2013 an excellent wine recommendation.
Super traditional Italian food with a real old school feel. The waiters and host were really hospitable. Prices were very reasonable. I went with 2 friends and we all got different pasta entrees and which were really yummy. The only criticism I have is that the salads left much to be desired.
Bricco is consistently reliable- excellent food, service, neighborhood atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Second time there. We had a very early rez in order to make a 7pm theater start. On 56th street they should be used to pre-theater diners, but it was very slow. Food came quickly once we finally tackled a waiter so we could order. And I practically had to print the bill out myself so we could pay and leave. The previous time we were there, at a more normal hour, was much better.
I went to Bricco mid-week because it was located close to the Columbus Circle subway and near the Downton Abbey exhibit. I had been there years ago and remembered it was good, but oh boy has it changed. The service was spectacularly bad. We were basically ignored the entire night. We were sitting for about 20 minutes before anyone came to take an order from us, and then we waited about a half hour between courses - and we usually had to flag someone down to take away plates after we were finished with a course. The food was meh - nothing special about it. I will never go back.
My second time there, and I enjoyed it again! Great fennel salad & delicious bread!
Everything was good.
No response to indication that it was a birthday when making the retion
Delightful, intimate spot. Very good ittilian food , fresh and wonderful attentive service
The decor is wonderful and the noise level was perfect for conversation. I recommend it
Food was good. Service was terrible.
A very nice Italian bistro with some great food. We enjoyed the minestrone soup and the linguine puttanesca. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive.
Perfect. Friendly service. Got out favorite table. No waiting. A gem on a quiet street!
The appetizers, octopus and buratta were good and nice portion. The glutton free spaghetti
a la Bolognese was all chopped up - when I questioned the bartender (we decided to eat at the bar) he just said that is the way it is.....the sauce lack flavor.
The restaurant was not crowded and the bar area had a total of 5 people but we had to call out to the bartender every time we needed service - very disappointing.
Muy buena comida, buen tamaño de la porción y muy buen sabor. Buena atención, precio razonable. Lugar tranquilo y acogedor. Sumamente recomendable para una buena comida italiana.
Very friendly and attentive staff from owner to waiters - very fresh food - quiet tonight but can get noisy on weekends - different specials and great starters
Great place. Consistent good food, service and ambiance.
Bricco is a delightful dining experience in every way. Nino and his staff bring service to a new level. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, food is delicious, service is outstanding. Always a wonderful dining experience.
Just okay red sauce Italian. Prices were moderate, and the service was pleasant, although on the slow side.
Our waiter was very rude and unprofessional. He and whom I only suspected was the manager were very rude over us asking to split our bill. The manager tossed my bill/credit card onto the table and walked away. Tried to keep charging for an extra pizza that was not placed. Sorry don’t think I’ll go back.
Food was good.. not great, just good . The service however was not good at all. The waiter was not attentive , had no personality and basically threw the check on the table. I would not recommend nor go back to this establishment.
We have been to Bricco frequently over the last 6 years. Food and service have deteriorated. This time it was truly awful. The rollatni was cold inside. The pork chop overdone an tasteless. The service was horrible. We arrived at 6:15pm but didn’t get our main course until 7:25pm. We had to leave at 7:40pm for a concert at Carnegie Hall. We will never be back.
Lovely evening. Fabulous food and ambiance. Definitely returning.
Our meal was very good and there was no rush to clear the table and sit the next party. When we first arrived, we were a little surprised that no one offered to sit us. It took about 10 minutes to get someone to greet us, but after getting seated, the staff was very attentive. Will certainly return.
We ended up here on a Saturday night, we were able to get a last minute reservation. Unfortunately there was a wedding party in the private room upstairs and I'm assuming they were short-staffed because it took over a half hour just to get menus. They kept refilling our waters but we just wanted to put in a drink order. We ended up ordering one course because we could tell we would be there all night if we tried to order multiple things. We were only served one drink, they never even came back to ask if we wanted another. Food was "meh" and we were just happy to get out of there before midnight.
We had a terrible experience. We kept trying to signal for our waiter, who was nowhere to be found. We were late for a Carnegie Hall performance.
have been going to Bricco for years..love the ambience..the owner is always on site and charming...food is fresh and good..they never rush you..
Reliable midtown west Italian close to Carnegie hall and within walking distance to Lincoln Center and the Theater district. Prices are reasonable for the location.
My favorite part of this restaurant was the staff.
The vongole clam appetizer was excellent.
The food was spectacular and staff makes you feel royal!
