Great location (close to State Capitol) and their pasta dishes are too die for, made from scratch with creative ingredients.
Food and service were excellent. Only problem was with the drink my boyfriend ordered but the server quickly got the right one. Very good on her part.
We were one of two tables for lunch and yet our waitress was too "busy" to get to us. The man who seated us then acted as our server. He forgot the lemons for our teas, and the side salad for the risotto. Food was good but the service was fair. Weird vibe. We would have gotten coffee and dessert but we were never asked if we wanted any!
The family met here for Mother’s Day lunch and my parents had never been before. Everyone loved their food, the service always wonderful.
Our server, Drew, was a delight! The pizza sauce had an amazing smoky flavor and the gnudi was to die for! The dessert trio was the perfect way to end the meal! The only bad part of the night was the coffee. The coffee was dissatisfying, as it was lukewarm and burned. Definitely order the French press rather than regular coffee.
Bradley was a great server! Food and cocktails were delicious !
Did not feel that the expense (high) was worth the total value!
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend
Food and service were great as always. I was a little disappointed because I had indicated it was my husbands birthday in the open table reservation and added a note asking them to include a candle or something with dessert and that didn’t happen, it wasn’t even acknowledged.
Varieties of home-made pastas were terrific, the seafood fra-diavolo was among the best I've tasted, and the desserts were creative and beautiful.
I very rarely leave reviews. But if I ever will be around that area, I will definitely come back again.
Excellent place, delicious food, exceptional service! I am very happy that my family of 5 people chose this restaurant.
unorganized, too expensive for food offered, uncomfortable
We meet and eat with friends at Bricco after the symphony. The noise level makes talking quite possible. Some restaurants we do not go with others because the noise level is too loud to have a satisfying conversation. The food is always delicious. We appreciate that a discount is given to diners who have been at the symphony. Thank you! It makes an enjoyable afternoon and evening.
my server was great! she was sweet, knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. I think her name was nicole? Food was yummy and whoever dropped off the mozzarella app did some crazy magic trick with the cheese! amazing!
Sam was our server and she was excellent. She was very knowledgeable regarding the specials and food options. We enjoyed our salad, short rib and fra diavolo pasta dishes. We will definitely be back for more and enjoyed the wonderful service and delicious meals. We will leave room for dessert next time. It's a wonderful gem in SOMA.
New menu since last visit - gone is the polenta board, but sage duck papardelle remains. Gnudi dish proved to be a winner - well-spiced, good bacon.
Our first time at Briccos and it did not disappoint. Very comfortable , trendy environment. Staff very pleasant and eager to help. Staff seems to work well as a team, the host keeps an eye on drinks and fills in quickly if server is busy. My halibut was perfect, my dates slow roasted short ribs, very tender. Presentation matched taste.
Food was great and service started out ok, but the onset of a private party ground everything to a halt. Staffing could have been better.
We stop in Harrisburg when traveling to New York because of Bricco. We have eaten here many times and always have our expectations exceeded. An overall great experience.
The whole experience was a little off. They were playing cheesy Italian music, the menu was written mostly in Italian, and our waiter pointed out several dishes that he wouldn't recommend (which we appreciated, but that means the chef needs to reconsider the dish). It wasn't busy on a Thursday evening, which was a little strange. The food we ordered was good. I just think they are trying too hard and the experience is disjointed.
Fabulous food and the service is beyond superb! The presentation was outstanding and we will be back - often!
Bricco is one of our favorite restaurants. We can sit and have a conversation without yelling across the table to be heard. The service is always excellent as is the food. Here's a tip...park in the lot at the corner of Chestnut and 3rd for $5. Bricco is right across 3rd St. and you don't have to worry about parking or parking meters.
Wow, what an expensive restaurant. Refused to pay $20 for a cheese board starter. My wife and son ordered the filet, and while it was tasty it was $40 and was the smallest piece of meat I have ever seen served. Literally the size of a silver dollar (no way the 6 ounces they claimed). I had the fish and it was good. The crispy Brussel sprouts were very good. The alcohol prices were reasonable. Probably will not return.
Good food and service. No complaints. Bricco is very comfortable and consistent.
The staff & management could not have been more pleasant and accommodating!
Dinner was great. Unique offerings combining interesting flavors. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. For quality food, I would recommend Bricco. Definitely NOT the everyday dining experience, far superior!
This was my wife and I's 2nd time visiting Bricco. This time we came for Easter Brunch and brought the kids. One youngest ordered a cheese pizza and the oldest ordered the chicken and waffles. They both ate the pizza. There was a lavender taste to the chicken and waffles my oldest didn't care for. My wife had the short ribs. She said they were good but she has had better. I had the Yellowfin Tuna Steak. My steak was great and cooked to perfection. The portion was very small and I was still hungry when I was finished. I ate my daughters chicken and waffles which I thought was very good. For the most part everything was very good.
The food was superb. The wine selection was awesome. The waitstaff was excellent. We ordered the oysters for apps and shrimp fettuccine as main. Delectable!! Tx for a wonderful night to our long journey to Boston.
We decided on Bricco's for a Sunday dinner on a visit to family near Harrisburg. We were a party of 6. Everything about this place was pretty much perfect. Firstly some very interesting cocktails, especially a Tequila with Beet Puree. Some interesting bourbon cocktails with root beer bitters and some sarsaparilla ingredient. [That is a little too sweet for me, but credit for something different]. Wine selection was a Masi Amarone 2011 which was excellent at a reasonable price for Masi. Our meals ranged from pasta with shrimp; to veal cannelloni, a fish dish as well as Tuscan chicken and beef short ribs. Each was prepared and presented well. The cannelloni was excellent with a light fresh ricotta cream as a sauce; chicken dish had ricotta gnocchi as well as the short ribs. The short rib dish was delicious as were the others. My least favorite was the pasta with shrimp. I would definitely return to this restaurant. Service outstanding as well. Mandy our waitress was patient with our requests for information on the dishes and handled our slightly rowdy crew with her good nature. I would recommend to others.
Bricco's is consistently wonderful. I do not like sitting by the kitchen and forgot to ask not to be seated there. It is noisy and there are aromas, albeit great ones, from the foods cooking, but the only smells I really want to focus on are my entree. We enjoyed (and have enjoyed this restaurant many times) our meals and out time out. The food is excellent.
Bricco is consistently fantastic! The service is great and the food is always wonderful. There is no better place to go if you want a guaranteed amazing meal.
This was not a good night for Bricco. Once seated we waited a bit for the server to ask if we would like a drink. We finally placed our order, two of the three drinks being Negronis. Fifteen minutes later, our server arrived without drinks and apologized for the delay. A few minutes later the drinks arrived and this is where the real problems began. The bartender's creative idea of putting the gin in a hollow ice ball was not successful, even though there was a wooden mallet served as part of the drink. The plan was to break the ice ball so that the gin would mix with the rest of the ingredients. We tapped, pounded and got frustrated for at least ten minutes until our server came back around again and saw our struggle. It was impossible to break the ice ball with the mallet and we had resorted to using our knives and still had no success. There was much Negroni already on the table from all of the splashing, which I mentioned to the server, but she decided to take matters into her own hands and picked up the knife of my friend and starting stabbing at the ice ball. A couple of minutes later it finally broke. This is 20 minutes after the drinks were served. I resorted to picking up the ice ball with a tine of my fork and then with my fingers turned it upside down and let the gin dribble out into the glass. Very elegant. Our server mentioned that this drink had caused problems in the past, but obviously no one listened to her. First courses arrived while we were still on our cocktails, but by the time the main courses arrived, we had finished them. Our server never asked if we would like anything else to drink with our meal, so we ate our main courses with water, which was refilled no less than half a dozen times throughout the meal. No second drink was offered as a courtesy. No dessert was sent as an apology. We were never asked if we would like wine with our meal. Main courses were served by other staff and they put the plates down and ran. Not a good evening.
Excellent cocktails followed by rave reviews from each of our party of four on appetizers and entrees. Superb service as well. Will return!
met and went beyond expectation, we will b back soon
We had an amazing dinner. The staff were very accommodating. They even brought out a special we were all wondering about show us and it looked so amazing that we all ordered it. It was a fish and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Cheese board was awesome and so was mini dessert plate. I will definitely go back.
Amazing food. Can’t wait to go back.
Great restaurant, meatballs were awesome along with ravioli! Here on a date night and sure did please.
We had a great night for our friend’s birthday! Brussels sprouts are on point with a nice hit of siraccha. The sweet potato ravioli were everyone’s favorite at our table of 8. Nice cheese and meat boards. Definitely one of Harrisburg’s best restaurants.
Food is always wonderful. Bourbon cocktails were excellent. French press coffee coffee was perfect
I love this place and the food! I had a dish with dark and another dish with shrimp and it was amazingly scrumptious and rich and beautifully presented and I would recommend anyone coming here to eat to eat specialty dishes .
