Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon
with Parsley Garlic Butter
Briar's 4-layer Chocolate Cake
with a touch of Frangelico Port Wine Soaked Amarena Cherries
We had the best meal at Briar Rose. Their prime rib is excellent along with garlic parmesan fries and mushrooms. Can't wait to go back!
My fiancé wanted a steak before her competition diet started.
Excellent restaurant. We always have a great dining experience here.
Excellent food. From starters to steaks to sides and deserts. Beautiful place if you are older school like I am. First class service from Will, Paul and personal attention from the manager David. Well done all. Worth it and recommended.
Had our anniversary dinner there and it was wonderful. Great food and plenty of it! Got 2 for 1 drinks in the bar prior to dinner.
One of our favorite restaurants in Breckenridge. The food and service is excellent!
We try to eat here every time we visit Breckenridge. We have never been disappointed in the food or service.
It was our 55th anniversary and we had a wonderful meal, great service and a special dessert for the occasion. We are definitely going back.
Food was delicious. Steaks were cooked perfectly... Big fan of the mashed and cream corn sides.
Always fantastic service and absolutely delicious food!
Food was outstanding, as always. Service excellent a d my Manhattan was delicious.
My sister and I ate at Briar Rose for my birthday dinner the other night. It was overall OK. The service was okay, however I did not feel very welcome. The staff seemed to be taking about us in the back of the restaurant, and treated my sister and I like we were children. My steak was very overdone, and dry. However the sides were delicious, and the cocktails were great. Overall, I probably would not return to this steakhouse. If you are under the age of 25 beware the staff will treat you like a child, very unprofessional.
Great Place,,, Service was outstanding and food was as well
Well, we never got out appetizer to start. That was obviously a problem. Next, I had a their New York strip steak. I can only describe it as the worst, cheapest cut of meat that's possible to buy. I'm not even sure it was from a cow. There was a ton of just plain "grizzle" in it that neither my knife nor my teeth would cut through. It was disgusting. Imagine having to spit your meat out a bunch of times because you can't chew it up, and you'll get the picture of their steak quality. Horrible.
Love having Dinner here. Always the best. Whenever I come to Breck , Briar Rose is on my list
Friendly and great food and wine
We were On vacation. The people who had the table before our reservation were taking a little longer to finish and the host very graciously brought a glass of wine and cola for the kids. It was a beautiful atmosphere but still casual comfortable to match the ski vibe. The recommendations were very good and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Staff works together really well. Very efficient. Food was spectacular.
Always great. Great staff and food always.
As always food service excellent. Great place
Excellent food and service. Was able to obtain a 6:45PM reservation for 6 on a busy Saturday night, the table was waiting and we were seated early! Birthday boy wanted wild game and was very satisfied with the Elk Medallions. Other had the petite fillet and it was perfectly prepared. Trout was excellent and sides were ample for the group. Only downside was no desert offering for the birthday boy, which is typical for the restaurants we frequent.
We had a great dinner, with excellent service. The food was okay, my beef came with all the juice on the plate, it could be more carefully prepared.
The service was excellent however, the food was not. All of our steaks and lamb were charred, overdone with little to no flavor. The sides, whipped Yukon potatoes, over whipped and the mac n cheese, hardly any flavor. We have dined here in the past and our experience was better. We will not return to Briar Rose.
We ordered two steaks- one medium and one medium well. Both were over seasoned and overcooked.
I always prefer to receive and undercooked steak because then at least you can send it back and get it right. My should have been medium well but it was definitely well done and overheard on the outside. My husband's steak was supposed to be medium and it was mostly well done, but also over seasoned.
The food and atmosphere was very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant but i am disappointed because we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary and they didn't do anything special for us. But besides that the food was delicious and the staff was very professional.
Food was just Average. Nothing special. Many better places to try.
The Briar Rose is a long time favorite of ours whenever in Breckenridge. Steak Tartar is a delicious start to the dinner and everything to follow.
We booked reservations 2 days in advanced and after waiting for 30 minutes they offered to seat us at the bar.
The menu (plus specials) provided an incredible array of entree/appetizer options. I was a big fan of the wild side of the menu - Elk, Bison, Trout, etc. The Elk medallions were dynamite and cooked to perfection. Ambiance was a cool combo of sitting in an old Victorian living room with absolute fine dining (and fine wine) while be able to feel reasonably casual (mountain comfort). Ben was a superb member of the serving staff and the Sommelier was knowledgeable and didn't simply take you to the expensive choices. The oysters were exceptional (special menu item). They made our one guest who was celebrating a birthday feel very special indeed with an incredible desert. I would go here again. I would go here any time I'm in Breck.
One of my favorite restaurants in Breckinridge. We had a comfy large booth/table that accommodated our guests. Ben was a great waiter and we all enjoyed our entrees and desserts.
Everything was amazing! Ben was the best waiter! Briar Rose is our go to dinner spot every time we visit Breck!
Spent my 40th birthday dining with family and had a great evening there. We make sure to eat here any time we are in Breckenridge, and would recommend it to anyone who’s is an the area looking for a great fine dining spot.
Great experience, table next to us was a bit loud but everything else was superb.
The steak was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The crab cakes were very good and nicely served. The potatoes au gratin were served at an ideal temperature.
I was disappointed in that the garlic cheese French fries were served barely warm. The button mushrooms were served slightly warm, and in a serving large enough to serve a family of four. There was nothing special in the mushroom sauce or with the mushrooms.
I was disappointed in that we requested to take home the unfinished mushrooms, potatoes au gratin were mixed in the take home container. Not what I was expecting to have these two combined in the container. The French fries warmed up nicely.
The main course was great, but the side dishes left something to be desired.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Great date night spot!
Way overpriced for the Quality of food received. My cocktail was not great and the Buffalo steak was dry and over cooked. The sides should come with the entree (meat selection) but their all separate to drive up the cost. Unfortunately, I've had way better for 1/5 the price.
We’ve dined here, every year, for the last 4 or 5 years and always enjoy the visit.
Keep up the good work!!!
Food was great. Love the elk medallions. Service was a bit spotty. Still a favorite.
