Service was terrible. For the price you pay, you should't feel rushed. Our waiter was clearly over his head and did not make for a pleasant experience. Brennans is a fantastic restaurant, however, the service was poor. Food was great.. experience was terrible.

Service was slow and waiter was inattentive. Food was good quality but the 2 fish dishes should have been hotter. They were lukewarm.

Overall an elegant evening. I hadn't been in awhile and wanted somewhere that I could talk without shouting. Not much had changed with the same standards on the menu. service was attentive and prompt. Nice wine selections and the Somm was knowledgeable. The beef rib was nice and smoky, the ponchetrain just ok. Shrimp roumelade fair. Overall I think the food just seemed outdated - it wasn't full on a Saturday I think they do brunch better

We found the restaurant to be very old school. This we expected. Overall food was just Ok. nothing special. The turtle soup was good. Wedge salad was very average. Fried green tomatoes were tasteless and while there was a fair amount of crabmeat, it was small and shredded. Certainly not lump crab meat. The redfish courtbouillon was Ok but the sauce was very thin and the fish had a distinctive "fishy" tasting. The night was our anniversary. This event got us an ordered dessert (which we paid for ) with a Happy Anniversary script. Hostess was indifferent in our reception and our departure. Think this is our last visit, Too many better choices in Houston.

I was entertaining out-of-town clients and chose the restaurant for the historic character and it is a beautiful fine dining experience. So I had high expectation and was a little disappointed. Service was fine, but our table was rushed. Our entrees sat on the server's tray for about 10 minutes while we finished our first course. Major mistake. Other tables were dining at a more reasonable pace. The menu has only 2 fish dishes and both were breaded, I expected more options.
