Brennans is always a reliable treat. The key here is the quality of the service and the ambiance. You really feel like you have "gone out to eat". Rodney was our main server. He is terrific. He really cares about the customer and cares that you are enjoying your dining experience.
Great evening. Wonderful dinner with excellent service. Brennan’s bus then took us to Hobby Center to see a TUTS show and returned us to Brennan’s when it was over. Just perfect.
Service was poor. Took cheesecake home and it tasted old or had freezer burn.
If you request a reservation through Open Table be sure to request a table on the first floor. We were put in a room on the second floor with very little ambiance. I was disappointed to say the least. I was also expecting live music for Sunday brunch. Apparent we had just missed the live music at noon and caught one song just as we were about to leave.
As for the food it was OK. Everything tasted a little too sour: the turtle soup and the salad. The Eggs Sardou were too bland tasting. I needed to request some lemon to add tang which was missing.
We were celebrating 2 birthdays and had a great time. Great food and special desserts. Excellent bloody Marys too!
Always a wonderful place.
Too bad they changed the bread pudding recipe.
Sunday brunch...Turtle Soup and Eggs St Charles with speckled trout was absolutely delicious. Pecan pie was okay, but next time I'll get the bread pudding.
Service was a bit rushed but food was superb
One of my favorite special occasion restaurants in Houston. It is a beautiful restaurant, service is impeccable, and food never disappoints..
The excellent quality of the food was exceeded by the exceptional service
