Mussels a bit overcooked but great broth. Really great fish and chips. Restaurant a bit noisy and chilly but the temp was adjusted promptly when asked. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in other booths and at bar, or happily watching TV's. Friendly staff.
It's pub food, so it only goes so far, but they have great bangers and irish stew and the like. Very comforting food. A little noisy, but that's to be expected.
The food was great. Service a little slow, but with the live music and stuff it didn’t matter. I would go again, but probably split as the burger was big.
Amazing food and the quiz night on Monday nights is awesome!
Awesome food; authentic Irish pub! If you've never been to the UK this is how it looks and feels!
Large family group. Every thing was ready for us, staff was friendly and attentive. Great food and drink. Had forgotten about this place but will start coming back again.
Servers were beyond outstanding, but noise level was extreme on a Friday night. The servers arranged for us to eat outside so we could talk.
The food was great. I loved the energy and I love the interactive father's day activities. Can't wait to go back.
Food was good. Fried fish greasy, best mashed potatoes, lamb stew excellent. Calamari appetizer. .needed more calamari and less of the fillers.
Felt we were rushed, bill came when we were still eating entrees, we wanted to order desert, were never asked. The bread pudding was great.
Brendan’s is the best!
Not the place for intimate conversations, but that's not expected at Friday night happy hour! Great food and drinks, attentive and friendly service, and I loved the live music! We were headed to a concert; otherwise it would have been great to stay and enjoy for much longer.
Food was too fatty!!
First time but definitely won’t be the last. Smethicks Real Irish Ale. Great.
Great service for New Years Eve
Fun atmosphere with great Irish food as well as burgers, etc. Great, friendly service.
The food was great I had the Galway haddock so it did not come breaded but was delicious with veggies and rice. I also had a great Irish coffee. My husband had the short ribs which just fell off the bone. He had a harp lager. Our appetizer was the curry fries which are also great even if you don't love curry.
They have redone the place since we were last there. They did away with most of the booths and replaced them with tables. They have a room for darts and pool. They have a private room for parties or overflow from the restaurant. You are able to watch a game on the tv as well.
My husband and I dined at Brendan's for his birthday. We were unaware that they have a birthday special - dine there on the day of your birthday and you get one entree free! When I mentioned that it was his birthday, they offered it to us and sure enough, one of our entrees was free. :-)
We chose Brendan's because we had a vacation in Ireland last year, and thought it would be enjoyable to visit an Irish pub. And it was! It has a nice authenticity to it that was very much like some of the places we ate in Ireland - dark wood, warm lighting, not too fancy. And they carry all the Irish beers we enjoyed while there. The food was very much like the pub-style comfort foods we ate over there too. I had the lamb shank, which they advertise as fall-off-the-bone tender. And boy was it! I had a very similar meal in a pub in Kilkenny, and this was just as delicious.
They also had a 3-piece band playing a mix of Irish and contemporary music, which was great. And when they were on a break, there was a charming fellow walking around in a kilt playing bagpipes!
The service was very attentive, and the manager even came over to wish my husband happy birthday.
We were very pleased with our evening at Brendan's.
Family birthday celebration- wonderful service, private room where we watched the Dodgers. Excellent service, great place for a large group.
Wait staff were wonderful. Birthday celebration was great here. Fun place.
Been here several times and usually have a pleasant experience. However, this time their service and selective pricing makes me wonder if I wish to continue hosting my company's happy hour here.
Got to try the Brussels Sprouts, they are delicious!
Friendly staff and wonderful food. A great place to go for an evening meal or just a casual get together.
The service was beyond expectation. I was expecting just a pub style of service. We were late in making reservations for Valentines dinner & had very few options. I am very thankful for that because it was a great evening. Our dinner was great, way too much food. Our table was waiting with rose petals when we walked in. They were very helpful with my husbands gluten allergy and had alcoholic beverage options for him. This was probably our best special dinner out in our almost 25 years, definitely much more than expected.
Always stop in for the Brussels sprouts with bacon and first time try the Corner Beef Ruben sliders, tasty just a little dry .
Awesome fish & chips!
Brendan's Newbury Park is a good place to grab some good "pub grub" (i.e., burger, fish & chips, etc.) and some hearty beverages. With an Irish influence, it is a lot of fun. The menu is sufficient, and the atmosphere is convivial. We were happy to be there, and we look forward to going again!
OMG you have to try the Brussel Sprouts!!!!
Great place for a group. Birthday celebrations are wonderful here.
We had a large group of 10. Seating was timely and very adequate. The service was excellent as we had an excellent waiter. The cocktail service was great and we did not need to look for waiter service, they were always inquiring as to our needs and always delivered promptly. We had a great time and would always recommend this restaurant.
Rosie did a FANTASTIC job!!! Nice to see Dan, Danny, and David too!!!
Brendan's is one of our go-to spots for consistently good food, a fun atmosphere, and great service.
Birthday celebration - Matt was a wonderful waiter. We had a small room off to the side that made it very easy to celebrate and enjoy the occasion.
Brendan’s is not just an Irish pub. It has good food, fine service, and an outstanding selection of local craft beer. Alec, our server, was very helpful with recommendations. The freshness and preparation of our salad entrees exceeded our expectations. The house made potato chips were to die for!
The food was excellent but the bagpipes were not my favorite.
We enjoyed the onion rings, soup, salads, & burgers. Service was slow, the overall restaurant didn't seem as clean as when I have been in before. Everyone we did talk to was very freindly.
Was a fun place for a large party with a good variety of food.
Staff were absolutely amazing, from the front to the manager and our waiter MATT. The drinks were impeccable, I had the best amaretto Sour ever and my husband had a cider that was recommended- tasteful. Kids had fish and chips - Delish. We had whisky sliders and Guinness soaked wings. To die for.
The manager Danny came and welcomed us and was so warm and personable.
Matt recommended the whiskey bread pudding that was out of this world. We have been to ireland before so this was just warm and great for us to rekindle our memories.
Thank you Danny and Matt. We will be back.
Fue hermoso!!! Muy tranquilo
