Brendan's Camarillo Ratings and Reviews
Two young men employees greeted us outside and one held the door open for us. We were promptly seated and our server was very cheery and bubbly. Service was prompt. We enjoyed the Irish Sampler (fish & chips, Irish lamb stew and shepherd's pie) and Corned Beef and Cabbage plate. The restaurant has traditional Irish decor, a beautiful separate bar area as well as darts for an evening of fun.
It was disappointing to order the delicious mussels that I had ordered a couple years back to find out they completely scaled back their order size by more than half, however, continue to charge the same $15 price. Couple years back the mussels were large in size, overflowing and just a great meal all around. Today's order is compiled of small in size mussels and should be on the appetizer menu because it's not close to a meal size any longer.
And let me add, both times this place continues to include mussels that aren't open. Which means the mussels are no good. So it's just a lose lose all the way around. Sigh.
