Brendan's Agoura Hills
Music is too loud but bar and food is great
We had a group of 8 and the service was friendly and efficient!
Very nice portions. Our friends ordered the Fish and Chips and said they were very good. Brussel sprouts, tomato soup and salad were satisfying
Brendan's has live music every Thursday night. The dance floor is big enough for everyone to get up and move. The waitstaff is fast and friendly. The bartenders mix great drinks. The food is very tasty. They have Irish favorites like Lamb Stew, Shepherd's Pie and, of course, Fish & Chips.
Come in for fun, food and drinks.
It was our first time at Brendans. We had a great time, great food, wonderful waiter and we will go there again!
Felt like a scam, Made the reservation through OpenTable from the link from Brendans, There wasn't anything about a minimum on the web page or OpenTable. After about a half hour, the waitress comes over and says "did you now when you made the reservation there's a $25 minimum each person". I said, it never said that. (I still have the screenshot) How rude is that, not to mention the embarrassment in front of my friends!? After leaving a 20% tip on an over $100 tab, on second thought I feel duped. We figured we'd have more than $25/person and we did, but this is terrible business to pull this! I feel like calling my credit card and having them take off the tip. This waitress should be fired if it was her idea.
Great place to watch the fights! Food and drinks were yummy 😁
The Irish duo was very good. Food was delicious and service was very good as well. WE will go back
It was an authentic Irish Pub. The food was above average.
Had a great meal with very good service!
Went here for Father's Day eve for someplace different to go. Started with happy hour and had traditional Irish beers which were very good as were the croquets. Very surprised to see that we were only the third party in the bar area and this was already 5:15. Had a 6:00 dinner reservation and went to hostess to be seated, and she had us stand and mill around until she finally asked if we wanted to be seated (duh). Had the Irish sampler and really liked the Irish stew, shepherd's pie was good, and fish and chips were OK. We left around 7:30 and the place was not busy; very surprising.
Great service. Food tasted really well.
I recommend having the lamb stew. It was excellent.
With family and friends, our 1st visit and loved the whole ambiance, made sure to take advantage of happy hour with your Bratwurst Skewers. Your bacon Brussels Sprouts were fantastic Whiskey Sauce and all!! My brother had your Brisket and Cabbage, delicious !!
Brendan's Irish Pub & Restaurant in Agoura hills is a local favorite. Regular dining or Happy Hour are both great. Real Irish fare, as well as American dishes. Lots of fun for that pint of beer and the Lamb Shank dinner is outstanding. Welcoming wait staff and many bar drinks to enjoy. I recommend Brendan's.
I've been coming here for years. They keep changing their menu and every time they do, the existing items are not as good and the good items are removed from the menu. This time, they changed the bar area seating completely and put pool tables in so it was much louder. It appears the ambiance has changed from a nice, family restaurant with quality whisky and Irish food to a hipster, under 30 hangout. I ordered the muscles, which used to be my favorite and the taste was simply not the same. Panko crusted chicken was also one of my favorites. Gone. I'm afraid I will NOT be going back.
Really enjoyed the ambiance, it has a cool vibe, great decor, good food, good value, kid friendly...
Great authentic Irish Food with a pub-like atmosphere
Birthday dinner for my teens. They played darts while waiting and had a great time. Food was very good and the service was good too.
We've eaten there many times. We arrived on time. No one to greet us. No wait staff to be seen. Dining booths had been removed and replaced with pool tables. We left.
Good food and very good service. Just what you would expect from a neighborhood pub.
Great little pub
Great venue for our weekly lunch group. Great service as well.
Always loved bread pudding but since they have changed hands the new bread pudding was inedible.
BRING BACK HAPPY HOYR!
Overall my family agreed that our first visit was a great experience. The atmosphere was fun. Service was quick, and the food awesome!
Our server could have been a little more engaging. She had a smile when she greeted us, did a great job at making sure our orders were correct, and was timely to check-in with us to see how everything was going. We're going to put it at this was a fluke and
They wouldn't even answer the phone after no less than 12 attempts over the course of several hours. I tried calling their sister location in Newbury - who said that the Agoura location just must be 'busy'. Too busy to pick up a phone for 3 hours??!? No way. I even tried back once a day for the three days following. Same issue. No thanks. They messed up the menu a few months back and now they can't even pick up a phone. The place used to be decent. I don't know what happened, but it's not good and I WON'T be going back - and I'll advise everyone I can tell to, also, avoid Brendan's.
We love our neighborhood pub, especially the happy hour. We walk down there several times a month. The manager, Brandon, is doing a fantastic job and he makes us feel welcome.
Went to Brendan's a few weeks ago at 9:20 and they had decided to close the kitchen early. The hours are supposed to be 11 with food service ending at 10. Apparently they have changed their hours.
So we went back the other evening for a birthday celebration. $7.50 for beer is a bit high but par for the course in this area. We had to get our orders in to the kitchen by 9:30 as they now close at 10. Decent experience, nice waitress, need to update their hours!
This pub is just around the corner from us. We go there often for Happy Hour or just to grab a beer and a quick meal. The servers are great and friendly and we can sit and enjoy watching
sports as well..
We do not drink so an Irish Pub is a little different. Looked like, smelled like an Irish Pub
The onion rings were OUT OF BOUNDS! The roasted tomato soup was great. We ate Guinness Stew, curried chicken, shepherds pie and fish and chips and we loved everything.
Another visit is absolutely necessary.
Great experience for an early New Year's eve dinner.
I love it when a restaurant remembers that a big part of why we go is to get great service - after all, if it was just about the food we'd all just learn to be better cooks! Brendan's completely understand this. Friendly reception when we got there, helpful servers who were always there at the right times and never there at the wrong times, etc.
Plus, great deals at Happy Hour!
Always have a good time at Brendan's - friendly staff, nice selection of Irish fare, and the drinks are always great!
