Very enjoyable during during Portsmouth Restaurant Week. Good choices, as well as a limited regular menu. Everyone enjoyed their meals and cocktails.

Food was very good, a bit pricey. Our main problem was our dinner seemed to be overlooked and we waited a long time to get our food. The problem was we had tickets for theater and ended up having to forego coffee. It was my husband's 60th birthday and they gave us a free birthday dessert but we couldn't take more than a bit or two because we had to get to the theater. I would go again when we didn't have to be out within 1.5 hours.

The new menu is exciting--all four meals were perfectly done and offered pleasant taste surprises. The special beet salad was the best salad I've had in Portsmouth.

My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. I ordered from the menu and the food was delicious. On the other hand, my husband ordered two specials and they were delicious as well. The wait staff was attentive to our needs and was forthcoming with recommendations. We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant and would definitely visit again.

This was our first time at Brazo and it was delicious! I am very picky and was so happy to have such a flavorful meal. The service was wonderful, the host was pleasant and the atmosphere was great. We will return.

Terrible value for money, overpriced, lasagne was awful, and $24, are you serious? Two tacos, $17! They were good, but we brought people who had never been there before, we all agreed it was a ripoff.

I find Brazo to be reliably awesome and I'm picky. The service has always been excellent, no exceptions, and they are very willing to accommodate food sensitivities. I love the romantic ambience with great music and dim lighting, Latin flair, but never too loud for good conversations (well, maybe at prime time on Friday and Saturday nights...). Chairs are comfortable and it's not a madhouse like many restaurants in Portsmouth these days (in fact, I'm afraid this review might ruin that, but I don't want them to go the way of so many trendy restaurants in Portsmouth so here I write!). I've never tasted anything at Brazo (which includes my dining company's dishes) that I didn't think was delicious. And they are willing to take reservations for just two, which I am finding rarer these days, also. Keep it up, Brazo!

The friends we dined with recommended Brazo because they ate there 2-3 yrs ago and said it was very good. They and we were disappointed! Wait staff was very nice. The food not so much.
I had mussels as an app and at least 6 were not open and the sauce tasted like french onion soup. Bread was very good. The Taco very expensive for the portion size. I had Fish Taco it was good. The MoJo Pork was ordered by the rest of the table....sauce good but the pork was very dry and not tender. We passed on dessert and will pass on Brazo forever more.

We have dined at Brazos occasionally in the past and always had great service and a wonderful meal. It's been about a year since we were last there and what a disappointment, after 20 minutes we had to ask for a server , and it was not busy.
It seems that there have been dinner items removed from what was a small menu and is now even smaller. The food served was OK , it looks like we will have to find another favorite restaurant in Portsmouth.
Any suggestions?

As always, the food here was exceptional. My fiancé quite enjoyed the desert that she had, although it was a little different for my taste (garlic ice cream?!?). However, the waitress we had almost ruined the experience. She was very nice and genuine, but I'm guessing she doesn't have any experience as a waitress. The food took forever to get to our table, despite it not being crowded and we only saw her when she took our order, once when we had our food, and then when the bill came. She wasn't even the one that brought the food out to us. Again, great food, but for such a nice and on the expensive side restaurant, the service was unacceptable.

Our server, Angelle, was very welcoming, personable and knowledgeable about the menu. She offered several suggestions that were spot-on. The food was delicious and the portions generous. My husband especially liked the fried lobster served with a special sauce that he kept raving about. I enjoyed the mojo pork and found the accompanying gnocchi different and very tasty.
Take advantage of the valet parking when available.
