Brazilian Grill - Hyannis Ratings and Reviews
One of the best restaurants on the Cape. We've been going here since it was just a single room. Amazingly, the quality of the food has never waved, even as the place has grown. Obviously, it's a place for meat lovers, but don't overlook the wonderly stews and other dishes at the back end of the buffet (e.g., they make a fantastic tripe stew).
We began eating our salads when the meat started arriving. Wow! So much meat and all so good. I tried some things I wasn't crazy about (chicken hearts), but there was also lamb, lots of sirloin and pork tenderloin. It was so good. Really enjoyed and plan to go again next time we're on the Cape.
The buffet alone is really good. When you add the unlimited meat that is brought to your table, it is an incredible value. My only negative comment is that the meat sometime has too much grizzle, but I guess it might be unreasonable to expect perfect butchering when serving that much meat.
The meats served by the gauchos are delicous and never ending. The salad bar is much more than a salad bar, it has everything you could want. My lamb chops were undercooked but I simply asked the gaucho for another skewer of medium rare & he was happy to assist. Great place when you want to overstuff yourself for a special occasion!
This place never disappoints. The salad bar is excellent. Service is friendly. They are also very allegy-friendly, which is important to my family. Dishes containing common allergens, including gluten, are clearly marked, and the staff is knowledgeable as well. We have never had a problem with cross-contamination.
PROS: Vegetarians options were awesome.
CONS: Meat was undercooked...
- It was very noisy. We were seated by a large family table with young babies...
- Tables are very close ones from another inside the restaurant. My husband was seated at an "intersection" and his chair kept being bumped by staff serving food or wine, or other customers... I had barely room to stand up to go to the buffet, at some point my chair fell behind me and nobody from the restaurant came to help... :(
- Food was very expensive!!! :o
We arrived before our reservation and waited at the bar. The bartender got 2 of our 3 drink orders wrong and had to redo the drinks. We were seated on time for our reservation. Our qItee was very attentive and good. However, if you are looking for really good cuts of steak this is not the place to go. We were in the front glass room and some of the meats never made it to us. Some of the meats were tepid, not hot, when they arrived. I asked for a medium rare piece of the prime rib and received a well done sliver of the top off the steak. My son loved this place but it is not for me. I don't like having to wait and wait in hopes of getting a slice of a steak that I like. It was pricey and dessert is not included---which was not explained to us when we ordered dessert. this was one of our vacation spots for a nice dinner while we are in cape cod.. this was our third time. Every year the food has gotten worse.. the service is awesome and the waiters really work hard bringing out meats after meats. The "salad bar" (it's a meal in itself ) is awesome and they make everything so inticing that most people usauly fill up on that first.. I am a real carnivor so I go just for the meats. This time they were tuff and not as wife of variety as years before.. anyway it's a great experience if you are ok with susb par food.. it was 190$ with tip for 4 adults and two children..
The Brazilian Grill was truly a unique experience. The salad bar was exceptional. The meats were generally good, a bit too salty, and sometimes too fatty (the prime rib). The gouchos who served the meats were nicely dressed with cultural pants and shirt and matching boots. We had a reservation, a must for this restaurant, and were late but the hostess seated us after a short wait, even though there was a line to get into the restaurant.
Really good food. Simple and tasty. So many options to choose from. Lots of fresh vegetables and plenty of GF options at the food bar. All meats are GF. All meats are deliciously cooked. Reminds me of the way we ate in Argentina when visiting family. Service was excellent from our waiter and all staff were wonderful. It may seem expensive, but you will be satisfied and happy when you leave.
My wife and I had a great time and the food was excellent. The service was wonderful. I could hear what my wife was saying which is great when you go out. The music was wonderful and we enjoyed the music. Hopefully, we will be able to go again as we live here year round and can always get in. Thanks again for the great time.
