This was our second lunch at Brazil Brazil and we were not disappointed. I started with the beet, arugula and goat cheese salad which was excellent and generous. My husband had the black bean soup which was slightly less thick than desired but good. For entrees my husband had the paella which was loaded with seafood and delectable saffron rice. I had the seafood combo with salmon, haddock, shrimp and perfectly cooked grilled asparagus. Everything was very flavorful. Service was friendly and well paced. We just wish the room would not accentuate sound as much. It was fine since it was not crowded, yet even moderate noise can echo on the wooden floors. However, this is not unusual for most NY restaurants and was not unpleasant.
We'd definitely recommend Brazil Brazil and will return!
We enjoyed our dinner. The meals were good and tasty.
Great place to eat before the theater or just in the neighborhood.
Great staff. Extremely accommodating. Food was very good.
Always love dining at this restaurant before theater! Now, we just like to go and hang out... because the bartender, Jon, is fantastic and so personable. Really nice vibe...., good food and service and Jon will tease you on how “ gringios” pronounce caipirinhas... but I’m not a gringa... and the caipirinhas are delicious at happy hour.
The service was amazing. The seating was crammed somewhat however the food was great. I wish there was a cider beer but overall it was delish and I’ll be back.. again.
This is our go to for the best Brazilian food in Hell’s kitchen. Probably the best Brazilian food in Manhattan, if you ask me (it’s my review after all). Great food. Great service. A short walk from Times Square and theater district. Ask for extra garlic! Bisteca!
Brazil Brazil never disappoints. The service was perfect. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was conducive to an enjoyable evening.
heard a lot about this place. didn’t live up to the hype.
Brazil Brazil was great. The food was very good, as was our service. I would recommend this restaurant.
Most unimaginative tasteless meals. Rolls were burnt. Broiled fish was recommended and it was awful. Dry. Bland served with sticky plain white rice. Steak was over cooked and swimming in a salty gravy. Service was subpar
It was a very beautiful restaurant. The place is very cosy. The waiter was really careful and gave us such great advices. You can feel all the Brazilian feeling through the room. I really recommend. And, the plates were really delicious, I can tell that we ate silently in order to savor everything.
Excellent food and service. A noisy group at a nearby table detracted from a relaxing meal.
My wife and I came here before going to a 7pm show. We have been here before. We had a 5:15 PM reservation and had no trouble with time as the restaurant wasn't busy yet. We had Sangria and shared a salad. My wife had tilapia with vegetables and I had steak with mushrooms in a skillet as and fried bananas. Food and service was good. When we left we saw that there was a special for $40 meals including dessert. We were not told about that but we were pleased with what we had.
The coconut flan is the best. Been there 3 times always satisfied.
Meeting with old friends in NYC before going home to Montréal, Canada. From A @ Z all was great. Service is impeccable, every dish was explained with a smile. The lady signing was very good but not too loud. The overall experience was wonderful. Even got treated to a brazilian digestive after the meal by the owner. Next time in town, we’ll be back for sure.
Food was delicious but having air conditioning inside the restaurant would have been nice. Servers were a bit slow, but very friendly.
Dined before a Broadway matinee. Wait staff were mindful of our need to be on our way by 1:20. We had the cheese bread and Brazil salad. Both were delicious.we had a sampler, chicken specialty and cerviche. All of the main dishes were yummy. The outside dining was also delightful.
Love this place! Great food, great service!
Seeing a play & then dinner! This place recommended by a friend & did not disappoint! Food excellent!! Service good as well..
Excellent and fast service. Food was out of this world! we'll definitely be back!
Always a wonderful place to eat in all regards!!
The bread was hard as a rock . The black beans was nasty. The service was slow. I would never return nor recommend anyone to eat here.
On time for our 6 pm reservation only to find out they did not put the AC on and it was 90 degrees in NYC, after complaining we were going to leave they put on AC. Food was tasty but food portions are small, I ordered the jumbo shrimp and mixed veggies and I received 5 medium to large shrimp, everything was ala carte didn't even come with white rice. We have been going to this resturant for years and now noticed the quality has gone down. Wait staff was not very attentive since no one at our table was ordering alcohol.
We will be finding another place to hang out and bring friends.
Service was excellent. Food was wonderful. Manager was very accommodating and had great people skills.
Steaks and salads were very good, the service was also good, the cost seemed to be quite high, but this is New York, near Madison Square Garden, so probably it is among medium segment. Tips of 20% were included in the receipt
Great caipirinhas. Good food and service. Location cant be beat for the theater. For NYC restaurant the value was very good.Authentic Brazilan .
From the moment we arrived the staff was courteous, friendly and attentive. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the presentation was beautiful! Very eye catching!
If your going to the theater don't go here. An evening when it is only dinner.
The food was very good, we had the seafood paella and the seafood and fish stew. Dessert took a long time to come out and at times it seemed as though we didn’t see our server for a while. We were the only ones sitting outside for some of the time we were there.
Nice food and good service. We will come back. The background live mudic was a plus.
I had the grilled fish combination platter. It was so good. Granddaughter had the pasta and was seasoned just right and pasta cooked perfectly. The servers were so nice and gave you plenty of time to enjoy your meal.
Brazil Brazil was not what I expected. Definitely a tourist spot. They had ALOT of items listed on the menu that they no longer had. If you go here try to not to expect much. They brought out a dessert for my birthday and the candle tipped over and burned the table. The food was better than the service.
Food was excellent. Steaks were slightly darker then ordered but still delicious. Waiter recommended dishes that did not disappoint. Appetizers, entrees & drinks were enjoyable.
A good alternative to Joe Allen's for a theatre meal. The food has a novel spin, and the atmosphere is conducive for conversation.
Brazil Brazil was a wonderful experience. We were warmly greeted and seated in the then empty restaurant in a lovely dining area. However, we moved into the bar area after a rowdy and self-absorbed group of 16 people created a disturbing level of noise. However, we once in the bar area we were able to fully appreciate our meal and the entire wait staff who were extremely busy due to the large group in the dining area.
Our main server was very gracious as he recommended the Fao de Quejo or Brazilian cheese bread. It was delicious. My husband ordered Paella and I the Mariscada or mixed seafood entree. The Paella was the best we had ever tasted with generous portions of shellfish and other mild fish on top of exquisitely flavored saffron and garlic flavored rice. My Meriscada was likewise full of shellfish and a large portion of a fish fillet along with a side of white rice. Both dishes were wonderful. We finished our bottle of Brazilian Chardonnay and our server gave us a complimentary shot of "Coquito", a coconut flavored eggnog which was delectable.
The manager, team of servers and the chef seem to sincerely enjoy their work. The service and excellent food reflect their enthusiasm. We'll definitely recommend Brazil Brazil to others and look forward to returning.
We loved their charming and attentive waiters, the food was delicious, and we went back to eat there again. The next time we are in nyc we will return to Brazil, Brazil
Food was excellent and service was outstanding. He went out of his way to explain menu to me and my kids and made recommendations that were fantastic. We will definitely be back!
Food not that exciting.
Preshow dinner, had happy hour drinks at the bar. Food and service all good.
