Food was great, but even with small menu they were out of some options. Last couple of times I have been to Bravo the service was excrutiating. NOT because the wait staff was sub par, rather they have appeared to be severely understaffed.

An ideal way to end a visit to the MFA. Food is creative and Ultra delicious. Easily conducive to conversation with friends. My only complaint is the small size of the scallop entree, five small scallops.

Great to combine with a Museum of Fine arts visit. Excellent for conversation and good for privacy. Reservations ok. The food offered through a limited choice menu is above average and the prices as well. Fo young children better to use the Shapiro courtyard restaurant downstairs.

My favorite feature of the Bravo dinner was the spacious layout and comfortable seats. It is nice to have a quiet dinner without feeling crowded; the cushions and carpeting were a most welcome touch after walking through galleries for a few hours. The contemporary, oversized painting hanging on the wall opposite the restaurant provided an exciting visual in the distance.
My entree was the special of the day: nicely cooked braised lamb over tiny lentils. Just delicious.

We enjoyed the most welcoming hostess, and a delightful, knowledgeable waiter who both added to our enjoyment.

THE KITCHEN WAS EXTRAORDINARILY SLOW , WHICH DELAYED US SIGNIFICANTLY. OUR SERVER WAS VERY ATTENTIVE, AND KEPT APOLOGIZING FOR THE DELAY. CONSIDERING THAT WE WERE ONE TABLE OUT OF FOUR IN THE RESTAURANT FOR OVER AN HOUR, IT WOULD BE HARD TO IMAGINE WHY THE KITCHEN TOOK 50 MINUTES TO PREPARE 4 LUNCHES!

Special setting. Good food. Use the validated parking, as on street parking is residential and restricted after 6pm, even at meters. $100 fine.

Service was very bad - the waitress forgot about our table. We had to remind her to bring the wine we ordered. Then our food did not arrive until we called it to the manager's attention. When I dine at the very nice restaurant in a Museum I expect to have excellent service so that I can continue to view the exhibits.

Amazing, creative food and excellent service. Lovely spacious, quiet room - we could actually carry on a conversation without shouting or being overheard! We highly recommend Bravo for a special occasion - or just a delicious dinner.

After eating here several times, the menu has become stale, and aspects not very good at all. The most recent meal featured overly salty and chewy clams.

The real problem with this place is the service-very clumsy and has not improved over the past year. Cocktails brought AFTER main courses arrive, water not refilled, a coffee saucer places on the table, the cup of coffee following my minutes later, spilling as it was carried by the handle. this is basic stuff and needs to be addressed for an expensive meal.

The location and ambiance is the only reason I recommend this spot. Such a shame as the first time we ate here, about a year ago, it was excellent. We spoke with the young chef and it seemed this would be an internist place to drop in again. Three meals later, and I say we only stop in for a drink at the bar.

Food was good, but took nearly an hour to arrive. We arrived slightly before our 6 pm reservation, ordered pretty quickly, but the food didn't arrive until nearly 7 pm.

We were with a 6 year old who started melting down a bit, due to the wait.

It was a pretty early reservation and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so why it took so long is a mystery.

The waitperson is lovely and this comment had nothing to do with service. I ordered crab cakes and they were not hot enough. It is easy to say "send it back" but that interferes with the rhythm of the meal. The chef (cook) should be able to judge and not send anything out not prepared to be served. I always enjoy Bravo but this is an issue that needs attention.

Excellent food though a limited menu. Service was excellent though slow. It's always been slow every time we have eaten there. But it's great for a leisurely dinner and conversation. Decor is elegant and comfortable. Dessert choices were not appealing to me. The dessert I ordered was not good. But we will go back.

I have always loved BRAVO... it is one of the few QUIET restaurants and has exceptional food. On Friday we both had the roasted Japanese eggplant dish that was SUPERB. We will go back, just to have it again!
I often have lunch there on Fridays with a friend on the way to Symphony.

The food was excellent; every bite was full of flavor. It was more delicious with every bite. That's where the positivity ends.
Our waitress had an attitude problem; rarely came to check on us and we could see her sitting behind a curtain on her phone.

Given the slim selection for good dining at the MFA, Bravo appeals most to my parents, age 86 years. However, I find the menu quirky with too many ingredients in each dish. I am a vegetarian and find it hard to select food. The lovely corn chowder had bacon in it. The arugula and fruit salad was so peppery. I think there should be MANY more types of salads and different kinds of quiches for lunch. the main courses were too large for lunch, though I tend to eat lightly.
I think the menu at the American Cafe is much more appealing especially the Faro salad on which you can put grilled salmon or chicken. How about a baby kale salad?

We went with friends for Saturday Brunch, Kenneth was our server. His service was prompt, courteous, friendly and very attentive. Kenneth answered all our questions about the menu and was engaging and funny.

The food was really - well, the best word i can use to describe it - was spectacular. Eclectic, carefully-prepared, beautifully plated, perfect temperature, delicious: it was as everything you'd expect in the Museum of Fine Arts, really a work of art.

Cocktails, cappuccino/espresso and desert - all YUM. Worth the drive into the City from the suburbs for us!

Can't recommend it highly enough.

Seven colleagues feasted and talked together after watching a movie at the MFA. Food was excellent - and among us we sampled lots of items on the menu. Having a quiet venue where we could hear each other in a beautiful setting was the perfect end to a long week. Service was knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Bravo!, Bravo - thanks for a terrific evening.

It's perfect to combine dinner at Bravo with a movie or exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts. The room itself is spacious and quiet, with widely separated tables. The menu is limited but good. It's a great place for conversation about what you've seen.

One of my biggest issues with the restaurant was the ambiance, which was lacking due to having bright lights turned all the way on. I'm not sure of this is due to serving mostly an older crowd of diners (60-plus) but it diminished our experience. The food was good, but not what I would have expected given the prices.

This is the fifth time my wife and I have been to Bravo and every time the food is fantastic (try the fig appetizer in particular!), the service very good and the ambiance relaxing. One of the few restaurants in Boston where you can actually hear the person talking across from you without straining. And the live jazz is always terrific to listen to but not so loud that it overwhelms you.

The beet first course was exceptional, and my chicken dish followed suit. My wife's salmon was also excellent. The restaurant is situated next to a picture window through which you can view a wall sized work of art. Not an inexpensive meal but a very memorable one. I'll remember the experience long after the credit card bill is paid.
