Bravo! Restaurant and Cafe
We both had the Grilled Duck. Fabulous! It appeared the entire restaurant only had one waitress, but she did a great job with the help of her bus person. We were also an hour earlier than our reservation. We were seated without issue.
Great meal and great service!
Quaint setting. The food is absolutely awesome. The wait staff was remarkably good. The patrons were a bit noisy. If you're looking for great food this is the place.
The Chefs are top notch.
We had a reservation and I felt like the hostess was frazzled and not friendly. We asked for a table switch because my husband cannot do booths due to physical/balance issues. I did request a table in my online request but I did not say why. She was not very friendly about that either. I did ask her about other tables and she said they were all taken. It all worked out, I just felt like there was tension, the server wasn't very friendly either. The food was good, I wish there had been a few more breakfast options especially since the top of the french toast dish was burnt.
I haven’t been back to the area in a few years but Bravo was always a favorite. Not sure what changed, but the food was meh. My salad was full of brown lettuce so it was sent back. The new salad was half the size of previous one and dressing was on the side. It tasted like it came out of a bag. I had lasagna which had very little taste at all. My husband had the chicken Alfredo which he said was tasty but the color of the sauce was odd. Unfortunately we will not return.
We enjoy the atmosphere. The pre dinner bread could have been warm in a basket. The drinks were good and dinner was great. Waiter could have been more engaged. Overall we Had a good experience.
There was cold air blowing from the ceiling that made it a bit uncomfortable?
We went to the Sunday Brunch. The food was all very good, plentiful and kept fresh/warm. Our waitress (Brigette) was exceptional. Highly recommend.
We had a very enjoyable evening and a great meal! Our waiter, Ty, did a great job and was very personable (we’ve had him as a waiter before). Bravo is our favorite restaurant in Kalamazoo!
The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. Bravo is a notch above other restaurants in service and quality but in the same price range.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but it was a relaxing evening.
The pizza was excellent and a good value. The steak was good, yet not good enough for the price. The whitefish was very good and a decent value. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful.
I would return.
6 month reunion with a coworker, whom was celebrating her birthday
Great food, great service and warm atmosphere. Would highly recommend and will be back
My Fiancé and I dined here the night I proposed. They were stellar in helping make this special night happen. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Terry was more than generous!
Always a stop when going from Detroit to Chicago and back. Good for a small pizza of a complete meal.
Went with spouse and mother (of a certain age) for simple birthday celebration. Service team was attentive
and respectful but not cloying. Food arrived in good timing; a "shared" entree was divided in advance and served appropriately. We all enjoyed the meals (chicken alfredo, canestrini with portobella mushrooms). The roasted brussels sprouts are a killer side dish. We get to Kzoo every now and again; Bravo will stay on the list to visit again.
We were terribly disappointed in the quality of the food at the Sunday brunch. We had heard good things about it, and it was not what we expected from BraVo. I have held many business events there and had good experiences with food and service. Our server did a good job but the food was mediocre at best. Not what we expected from BraVo. Pizzas were cold. Omlette was mediocre (& not many choices of ingredients). Desserts were small and tasteless. :(
Delicious food. Good selection. Friendly staff. Good ambiance.
Always love the food and service!
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary at Bravo, as we do every year. We were married there, so it's our special occasion place. The food was wonderful as always, and our server very kindly brought us a baked Alaska on the house. It was a lovely evening.
Very average. Buffet is average.
We had a large group (10). They had a beautiful big table prepared for us in the back room with a fireplace. It was nicer than I had hoped for! The food was fantastic. The servings were on the smaller side, but then we were all able to enjoy dessert which we don't normally do. Our server was great too!
Service was exemplary. Food was excellent. Had a quite booth in the corner. we were not rushed .
From out of town, friend suggested it as a meeting place as it was a mid way meeting point. I was aware that Sunday was a brunch only affair, but friend thought it was still a menu optional. To say it was overpriced is a bit under-stated. Very few options, a few breads, 3 types of cheese bites, 2 or 3 salads, and an omelet bar. This was brunch, not just breakfast, but no real lunch type options except for the salads. Several dessert choices, most tasted like they came from the grocery store pre-made dessert area, no exceptional taste, and the cream puffs tasted like the frozen variety you get in the frozen food section at Kroger's. Not impressed, and for $20 a plate just because you can have seconds? Of what? Not impressed. Service was okay, and apparently others like the place because there were several tables full and you had to make reservations. Won't miss my service as I was visiting from AZ, but the friend of mine is a Michigan native and she even told the staff she wouldn't be back.
First time for brunch, everything was awesome. The service was very friendly and helpful with questions. Very impressed with the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. I will be back and will tell all that will listen to me!
This is our favorite restaurant for our special occasions
We can from out of town with reservations made weeks ago. The reviews were all quite good .We arrived promptly at 6:15 and the restaurant was quite empty. Appallingly, it took us over 2.5 hours to get appetizers to our table and our main courses only arrived after after making complaints . We had a group of hungry boys that naturally got restless waiting for their food for that long . This was unfair to them and the rest of Bravo's patrons. The manager never came once to address the tardiness in service. We had to seek him out to complain, and even when we expressed our dissatisfaction, he was very dismissive and unsympathetic. To be fair the food was decent, however one of our meals was not cooked thoroughly. It's important to note they were hosting a large party, however we arrived well before they did. Clearly they spent all their time catering to that party and we suffered for that . There are a lot of good reviews which led us to Bravo, but do yourself a favor and stay away . Maybe they treat their regular patrons well, but not strangers . Awful experience end to end .
Food was mediocre. Took a while to be seated even though we had reservations. Searing in the booth was uncomfortable.
Good food with a quiet ambiance! We will return for more!
Our meal pleased the foodies as well as there-must-always-be-meat diners in our group. Excellent service and ambience. It was my birthday and my choice, so I was happy that everyone agreed to a return visit in the near future!
Great food and great service! Cozy setting in a nice booth in the bar area. Highly recommend.
Best Italian food in town and good selection of American standards.
Dined at Bravo many times. The food is consistent and the service better than average. Price points are good for the area. Our party was surprised by the seemingly heavy use of garlic in the entrees and two of us who had the petite tenderloin would have preferred a gravy that was far less salty. Overall a nice birthday meal and will return.
We have been to Bravo many times for lunch and dinner over the years. This is the first time we tried it for Sunday brunch. We should have done this much sooner! The French toast was absolutely unbelievable. Other than the vegetarian lasagna, all of the food was excellent. Myself and those in my party ate way too much. There was a large selection of both breakfast and lunch choices. I would highly recommend brunch or any meal at Bravo.
The food was great. We were hoping for more secluded but this was not the place. It was rather noisy. Service was great!
The food was good; the price was very reasonable, but the food presentation and serving tables were poorly kept and very sloppy.
Alaways good ,never a disappointment, great for date night
I visited for an early weeknight dinner. I had a reservation and was seated promptly. I had scallops and Cajun salmon from the regular menu with asparagus. Everything was excellent.
Always a great choice. Our server was great.... a seasoned pro...and very funny.
Food was delicious as always.
We had a wonderful meal and a surprise Baked Alaska to celebrate our Son-in law's birthday. The service was perfect. The server was there if needed, but not a bother. Our water glasses were kept full at all times. Everyone enjoyed their meal choice.
