Bravo! Restaurant and Cafe
Sunday Brunch was very tasty. We were seated under a fan which made it chilly and in turn our food turned cold very fast. Other than that, it was a very pleasant meal. Enjoyed the selection of food and complimentary Mimosa! The desserts were just so so.
We were disappointed with the quality of food and service on Saturday at Bravo. Our server was very slow to greet us. He was polite but it appears he was serving most of the room. The food is not really Tuscan. It's pretty generic... canned olives, fried foods that are prefrozen. I don't recognize their version of gnocchi...fried? Or grilled? Strange.
Great tasting creative food with an Italian twist. Live light music by Barry Ross (violin) and Steve Kammerling (guitar), a monthly Monday occurrence, was a huge plus.
I had the Bravo salad and it was wonderful and the service was amazing. Top notch.
Food was excellent and a wide variety. I would go back again
Sunday brunch was AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back!
We’ve never been disappointed with Bravo! Love the food and service quality. Great place to bring friends and family for a fantastic meal where you can actually hear each other and have a conversation.
The beer Bravo brews there is very good. Most of the entrees ar under $ 30. For more casual dining order the wood fired oven pizzas. The food is always good.
Outstanding entre selections. the fire grilled salmon and duck with risotto exceeded expectations
As usual, the food was excellent and so was the service. I was with a friend and we stayed to talk after finishing dinner. Our waiter was unobtrusive and didn’t do anything to hurry us, so we were able to enjoy the conversation without feeling rushed.
Excellent Sunday Brunch! Top quality!
Very clean and great service!
Dined first time...pleasantly surprised. Had great service and food. It made for a very special wedding anniversary date.
The service and outside seating on the patio were wonderful. The lasagne was perfect. The pizza which was self service buffet style was good but not warm enough. I liked the way Bravo used to do on Thursdays where you could order your own pizza and it was brought to the table. Thursday’s are half off pizza, pints and pasta.
Nice brunch, probably the best in Kalamazoo. The food is tasty and replenished often. The complimentary mimosa is a nice touch. Quite a good value for the quality of food.
Excellent food variety and preparation. Great value.
I fear after our last two visits that the food quality is slipping. This is particularly sad for us as we have dined here for many years. Service was a little slow all else was done well.
Thursday is pizza pasta and pints night at Bravo. The evening was very nice. I had crab stuffed ravioli and shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The pasta was great. The sauce was somewhat unexpected. Spicy garlic cream to me does not necessarily mean hot. At an Italian spot I expected more of a basil/oregano spice, not jalapeños. I can take the heat but not everyone can. The pizza buffet my husband had was a great selection of their pizzas. It was well maintained with the pizzas being frequently refreshed. The crust was thin, but not cracker like which we like and seems difficult to do in a wood fired oven. The salads were great as always. The brews that are part of the deal are the house made. Both that we had were great! They were not as busy as usual for a Thank you Thursday but it was the day before the holiday weekend.
Our very, very favorite place for Brunch ! The selection is excellent and the service is top notch !
Great birthday dinner for our daughter!
Service was a little slow but they where quite busy. Gods is always good and consistent.
Very nice restaurant in Portage. Easy to drive to and plenty of parking. We had reservations so no waiting. Our server was very knowledgeable and made suggestions when asked. The food was delicious. One of the best lasagna's I've had. Husband had chicken Alfredo and he said it was excellent.
Pizza buffet and beer were great.
Loved our waiter, he was there when we needed him but did not hover. Lasagna was a disappointment. It was short and missing layers, almost as if it had been nuked. Tuna was awesome. Salads were average, at best. But we loved that we got to linger without being harassed. It was a family reunion for cousins who only meet every five years or so, so we appreciated the quiet, pleasant dining room.
The shrimp and mushroom risotto was out of this world!
Friends went next night after I told them about it.
Food was great. Service was unacceptably slow. Our server had too many tables. Wait staff nice but not well trained.
Always a favorite!
Waitress was amazing. Ambiance was great and the food was excellent!! Would definitely go and again and i recommend this to anyone looking for a great brunch!
Bravo is one of the best restaurants in the Portage/Kalamazoo area. Food always excellent. Sunday brunch fun & plentiful. Staff well versed in how to handle anything you need. Best mushroom soup around. Check it out!
We were visiting from Indiana. Bravo came up in my google search. It was close to our hotel. We enjoyed dinner very much.
Nice atmosphere and excellent service. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The mushroom soup was excellent. The lobster, shrimp ravioli was slightly UNDER coiked. Desserts were worth waiting for. Will return!
New arrangement for the buffet pizza not good idea...cold pizza not appetizing. Looking forward to new menu. Didn't care for the'blueberry' beer...way too tart. Jake our waiter was GREAT!
Awesome staff, delicious entrées, made the Birthday Girl feel very special with a baked Alaska!
My family has gone to Sunday Brunch at Bravo! for a couple of celebrations within the past year. Both times, the food and service have been excellent!
EXCELLENT food! One friend seemed disappointed that she could not order individual pizza on Thursday, however, as Bravo doesn't make individual pizzas when they have the buffet. She is handicapped and uses an electric scooter, so would not be able to go to pizza buffet very easily. She ordered something else, however, and was really happy. We didn't get asked if we wanted more coffee or wine or beer however, but flagged down another waiter and he brought more coffee. Otherwise, the waitress was very good. I will return for sure! I really love Bravo.
I always enjoy Bravo--delicious food, soothing atmosphere. It's kind of expensive so I don't go frequently, but am happy to savor their food whenever the occasion arises. This time I tried the Brussels sprouts appetizer and it was wonderful! I have tried Brussels sprouts at many restaurants: these are the best. My friend with whom I was dining agreed, and when I took the leftovers home for my husband to try, he agreed too. I thought their mushroom soup was my favorite item, but now it's a tie.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The host asked us if we wanted to be in the cafe which is quieter. We appreciated this. There was some great live music in the dining room but we opted for quiet since we are friends who live In different places and don’t see each other often.
