Fantastic food and service but very very quiet so lacked atmosphere a little
Bravi is a St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood gem. The food is carefully prepared and served perfectly. Nicely curated wine by the glass menu. The daily menu had something for everyone and there were also two amazing specials offered.
The restaurant is not overcrowded by tables too close together so quiet conversation is possible.
For dinner I had: the olives and bread with olive oil which were served as soon as we were seated, the house salad (radicchio with blood orange dressing), one of the night's specials- salmon ravioli- and we shared the cheese course. The cheese course was served with a few figs and berries, no crackers or bread, and was so plentiful we took half of it home. The espresso was divine.
Bravi has been in business on their block for a very long time. Many other restaurants have come and gone in this neighbourhood (both good and not so good), but the food consistently great and service is always impeccable.
The place was very romantic and the ambiance great! The wait staff were very professional and prompt. The food delicious. We will definitely be coming back!
Although the food menu was not very long and diverse the plates were tasty. The location is close to many other places and attractions, which makes it a good place before or after other events.
The service was excellent and the food was amazing. My only negative feedback is that the portion size of my main dish was not worth the $22 that I paid. I should have had twice the amount that was on my plate. I was done in 10 minutes. I would go back but order something else.
It was a great experience. The service was great and the food was excellent.
The woman who welcomed us at the restaurant had googled me and discovered that I had written a book on Charles MIngus, the jazz composer. To my delight, Mingus Music was playing throughout the restaurant the whole evening. Oh, and the food was TERRIFIC. I can't praise this place enough
Very quiet spot. We were only one of four tables. Did a great job at spacing us out. House salad was very good— a bit wetter than what I am used to but tasty. My guest had monkfish wrapped in prosciutto which she said excellent. Our server started me to the seafood pasta: my goodness, the seafood was very fresh. And Very tasty.
Great ambience with some very cosy tables in an older downtown building with great indoor brick walls. Food was well prepared and very tasty. The risotto was fabulous and my veal was cooked to perfection. Service was top notch, attentive but not annoying. Great place for a romantic dinner. Our only suggestion was that the menu was a bit sparse perhaps a few more main courses would help.
The ambiance and food were fabulous! The great service was an extra bonus.
Best bread in the city!!!
I have been looking for a neighbourhood Italian restaurant so I went with high hopes. The ambiance is lovely and warm. Our appetizer of calamari was very tasty. My husband orderedthe gnocchi as his main course. When they brought it out, I laughed because it didn’t even look large enough to be an appetizer portion, which it was not. The portion hardly covered the bottom of the bowl. The server, seeing my astonishment, said it was very filling. Perhaps for a child, not my husband. Luckily my order of cornish hen which was good was large enough to share. But had I ordered differently, we would have left hungry. How much is it to add more gnocchi which themselves are not expensive? They didn’t even need to add more sauce! So we won’t be back. They lost customers over a few gnocchi.
Fabulous! This is a “go to” place.
Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Great homemade pasta. Excellent service good wine selection. Would highly recommend for special occasions or casual dining with friends.
Food and service was awesome. Don’t sit next to the window in winter. We ate our dinner wearing our jackets.
The entire experience was quite lovely. The staff were alert and attentive, our drinks and meal were served in a timely manner and the food (Leek Soup and Halibut on a Kale bed) was the right temperature and delicious. Little things mean so much: the mineral water was chilled, my (classic) Martini was put together perfectly and chilled just the way I asked for it and, after dinner, my guest and I were left to ourselves to chat after dinner without any push to pay the bill.
I also ordered a glass of Prosecco. As it happens, there was only enough to fill about 3/4 of my stem glass. Know what? On the house! Classy and elegant.
I really cannot find anything to complain about and I would re-visit the restaurant anytime. Everyone did his / her job professionally, discretely and with good taste and judgment. We both had a great meal, excellent service and a thoroughly memorable dining experience.
WE arrived at 12:15 pm for a business lunch. Although we ordered within 30 minutes of arrival our meal was not served until 2:07 pm. This was a problem as both myself and my party had to be at a meeting by 2:30 pm. So we had to gobble our food. I ordered the soup of the day and the special of day which was Halibut. Soup was fine. Fish was very dried out but ate some of it since we were rushed. No time for dessert or coffee. To me this is inexcusable and certainly my client was not impressed.
I’ve eaten here often but I was disappointed on this visit. The service was not up to the usual standard. I arrived earlier than my dining partner and was not offered a drink other than water. It was a cold evening and our table was in line with the front door making it very cold each time the front door opened. A few time the door did not close on its own. I had to eat with my coat on and so did my date. An unpleasant experience and embarrassing since I’d chosen the restaurant. I found the pasta portions very small for the price and we were not offered a dessert menu and not coffee until we rose to leave. All in all, while usually a favourite restaurant I would be cautious recommending to friends in winter.
Bravi was awesome. Delicious meal. The bread is to die for. Great service
Beautiful food, ambiance, decor and in a great neighbourhood. Nice that they don’t rush out their patrons.
Service was phenomenal. My entree was quite good however the other one came out very cold.
Great location. Food was excellent and service was fantastic.
Great bottle of wine, reasonably priced. Lamb and risotto to die for.
Always a great meal. Really enjoy going.
Great service, phenomenal food.. You need to try it, great wine selection... wow, wow, wow
We had amazing service and the food was excellent. The portion sizes are perfect, not too big and not too small. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert. I highly recommend the butternut squash ravioli and the tirimisu. Amazing food!
We were celebrating a birthday. Then we were going to the theatre. David was more than friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our meal and the ambiance of the restaurant. We would return in the future.
We went to Bravi to celebrate my graduation dinner. The food was great, everything tastes good. I love that they have big serving of food, good for sharing or for individual. Ambiance was relaxed, cozy and quiet. Perfect for intimate family and friends dining.
Excellent service, fabulous food. Had a delightful evening. I'll be back soon.
Bravo bravi. I have never been disappointed at your restaurant. will recommend to other business people as well as friends. JG
Absurdly small portions with very cheap ingredients. Would not return.
We had the perfect dining experience at Bravi. The decor is tasteful, cozy and warm. The atmosphere is intimate yet each table had privacy. The food was spectacular. I started with the appetizer special: a cream of mushroom soup. The texture was perfect and the flavour and aroma was woodsy with a delicious added touch of truffle oil. My husband had the Caprese salad which he said was very good; the tomatoes were ripe and meaty, the Buffala Mozarella was firm and sweetly fresh, finished off with a lovely Balsamic dressing. We both had the Papparadelle with Bolognese Ragu. The sauce was perfection, the pasta was tender. The portion sizes were exact and the food was hot and fresh. We had the dessert special; Lemon Meringue Tart which had a tender flaky crust with a tart lemon filling topped by toasted meringue. The service was excellent, attentive and pleasant. Our water glasses were filled without our having to ask. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. We highly recommend Bravi for any occasion and we will no doubt return whenever we are in Toronto.
After booking a reso, I Felton
The meal and the service were both fabulous. I have been there before with corporate functions. I have never been disappointed.
Menus selection had the right balance, without the over-whelming feeling of excessive choices.
Great plate presentation and all dishes were as ordered and cooked to perfection.
I would definitely recommend Bravi. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was modern and comfortable.
The food was excellent but more importantly the service was outstanding. We were asked about where we would prefer to sit. Service was timely and very friendly without being intrusive. Never had to ask for anything but the bill. We will be back.
Went with my partner for our first anniversary. The server was warm and welcoming, the service was prompt and delightful. We were especially impressed when our starters arrived - we were splitting two of them, and rather than sharing off each other's plates, the kitchen crafted custom plates for both of us with a portion of each starter on each plate.
You can also never go wrong with a glass of Prosecco.
First time visit. Really good food and excellent service. Will be back soon.
