Brave New Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
A friend who has lived in NY and Boston came from Texas, and wanted to take us for "the best steak in LR".
I recommended BNR since I took my teen age grandson there for a steak.
He checked and found out you are the best in AR. We were especially impressed with our server, Ben Hughes. I'd like to visit with him sometime. If he wants to reach me,
Dr. Harold Mitchell, 501-734-8307 in Maumelle.
We will be back.'We didn't eat steak.
We had the venison and the tuna it was the perfect sharing meals! The venison was amazing and the tuna was the best we've ever had! The pecan pie was to die for, the perfect meal for a much needed date night with my hubs! Thanks Peter Brave and team!!
We were out celebrating our anniversary. Food and service was excellent. My wife had the scallops which were perfectly cooked as always. I had the Hawaiian Ahi tuna seared rare and was fabulous to the last bite. The pecan praline bread pudding was amazing.
Great food from beginning to end with a nice atmosphere for evening dining, quiet with excellent wait staff. The only negatives are the communication and location of this business. Not from this area, and dining with someone who was, we each experienced difficulty identifying where RNR was actually located. There is virtually no signage, and the business is located in a building set back and not discernable as having businesses within. The parking is someone minimal, and it was not clear or readily visible that there were cars parked in this area signifying the restaurant might be located within the building. Once you know where this business is at, and have enjoyed dining at it, I am quiet sure the location would no likely be a factor in deciding to return. We dined at night, which made the atmosphere within quite nice, but we could not see what might very well be a nice view that would be available during the day. The tables, lighting, atmosphere, small bar, and staff were well done and helped make the evening quite special. I do not recall the name of our waiter; however, he did a wonderful job and was tremendously professional, sincere and helpful. He really added to a wonderful evening.
I moved out of state several years ago but this was one of many visits to Brave New. I was so happy that the service and the food were just as I remembered — top notch. This was the first visit for my young granddaughter and the server treated her with respect, with special attention for her likes. She will be a customer! The visit to our table by Peter Brave was a treat. He talked about the dishes and his joy in preparing them. I had the walleye, my gdaughter the grilled shrimp and my son-in-law the tuna. All were prepared beautifully— in particular the walleye. We had three desserts; chocolate pecan pie, chocolate cream brûlée and the White Russian ice cream. I do not have one negative thing to say.
I have loved this place since my first trip. This past Thursday was our 15th Anniversary, and we did not say it to the staff, never need to, they make every meal special. The food was excellent, we had an appetizer, dinner, coffee and desert we really enjoyed the outside seating with a great sunset of Little Rock in the background.
It was our 9th anniversary. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted! The appetizer came and really set us up for something special, it’s to bad the rest of the meal was just lacking. Plates have ample quantity and we left full but definitely not feeling like we got a meal worthy of $100 for 2. The dinner salads looked wilted and we only ate a bite each and let them go back. Both plates came and were very bland and nothing spectacular. The dessert was good but it’s hard to mess up cheesecake.
We had a wonderful time, excellent waitress, tasty good food and warm bread, not too loud, we will return with other friends. The variety of the menu was good, prices were fine too. Parking was close, elevator took awhile but worked ok. Open Table worked for making the reservation. Thanks.
Brave New Restaurant is fabulous. We asked for and were seated on the deck on this past visit, and we enjoyed an awesome view of the Little Rock skyline at twilight. Our meals were cooked to perfection and presented well. The large Sea Scallops were better than candy! Brave New Restaurant is a jewel on the Arkansas river in the Rebsamen area of Little Rock. Highly recommend, particularly at sunset!
Brave New Restaurant has great menu options. I've eaten there for a business lunch during the week and also a birthday dinner date on the weekend. Perfect for both occasions! The local and seasonal food was perfect and we had great service!!
We ordered the grilled romaine salad which was delicious. Romaine was not to oily and salad was filled w several delicious cheeses, grapes, chicken, roasted veggies and more. The dressing was light and did not overwhelm the ingredients. The bread was delicious.
