Bravas Bar de Tapas
Bravas serves traditional Spanish dishes along with tapas-style dining and has been named in the Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants in 2013, 2014 and 2015 by the San Francisco Chronicle. Sit out on the covered patio any time of the year and enjoy a chilled Tapa of Salmorejo soup or tuna belly salad. Join a group of friends indoors at Bravas while dining on a warm Tapa of bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese, warm bacalao on wood grilled flatbread or the Pocket Creak Duck Egg served sunnyside up with Chorizo cracklings and toast. Other menu items include Monterey Calamari served with salsa verde, blackened lamb porterhouse or the skirt steak with red onion marmalade and Valdeón Cheese.
Bravas offers a large selection of local and Spanish wines, sangrias and Spain inspired cocktails that will not only quench your thirst but will complement your food perfectly and authentically.

One of the top hidden gems in Northern California. Innovative, changing menu regularly, always an array of creative tastes, in a cozy setting. A top choice anytime I’m even near Healdsburg.
Food and atmosphere is wonderful
Worth a try
Service a little slow
Fabulous food and a very helpful server who helped us make a couple of new choices for our group. We were celebrating our friend's birthday...and the server surprised us with a special dessert. Very classy! The gin drinks should not be missed. Overall a great place for innovative food and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger
My party enjoyed dining here for lunch. The only knock was that we felt you were a bit heavy-handed with the salt on the paella. The crispy pig ears were tasty and crunchy. We also enjoyed the creamy chicken croquet as.
Superb tapas menu with out-of-this-world lamb burger boccadilos, stunning croquettas, and amazing wine selection. Wonderful environment and great service.
Great atmosphere and food. One complaint is the food is very salty.
My partner and I dined outside on the patio on a nice warm evening. The tables were more than 6 feet apart and staff wore masks. The menu had a good selection of tapas and a couple of large plates. We opted for the tapas and loved all except the eggplant chips because the honey sauce was too sweet, more like dessert. Perhaps another sauce option would be nice. The wine list offered a great selection of local and Spanish wines. The music selection was geared toward boomers, which we enjoyed that night. The service was excellent and the food was served quickly.
We love Bravas for an early dinner after wine tasting before driving back to SF! We brought two friends for the first time and they raved the tortilla Espanola was the best they ever had! Other must order dishes: patatas bravas, artichokes, mushrooms, scallops and if you like blue cheese both the flank steak and the cauliflower. Drinks are excellent and leave room for desert!
Birthday and 1st time with my two daughters at same time in a year.
I felt like I was back in Spain, amazing!!
Drinks were unique and tasty! Food was perfectly shareable and delicious. Seating was socially distanced. Our server and her support staff were amazing!!! Highly recommended.
Food was good for tapas. Service was slow but our waiter was also the bartender & it was busy. The Serrano ham mini sandwich was very good as was the Gazpacho & Creamy Chicken Fritters. The Shrimp was the entire body including the shell but did not have a lot of flavor. We both had The Red Sangria which was very good. The potato dish was over cooked.
Dinner was amazing! Tapas were just perfect!! Table on the patio was nice since it allowed a better view of the people.
Combined birthday/anniversary celeb.
Our first time back here since the start of the shut down in March 2020. Outdoor tables and atmosphere remained similar. Service was good. Menu seemed virtually unchanged (including prices, how weird is that? Refreshing!).
We didn’t think the food was quite as good as we remembered outside of our two top items, ham sandwiches and caramelized onions on toast. Both excellent. The croquettes lacked any gruyere flavor and had little ham in them. The cold soup wasn’t great. Beets were a bit tough.
We hope this isn’t trimming quality to avoid price increases. It’s a solid choice in Healdsburg.
Sat outside, lovely early dinner. Everything was great.
We loved this place! We tried to make reservations 2 weeks ahead of time and had to settle for a 4:45 pm time. It was perfect. We were seated outside under an umbrella and we asked to close it so we could enjoy the sun outside. It was a perfect evening! We tried several of the tapas and they were all delicious! And our waiter Eric was lovely and fun to interact with. They have a nice outdoor bar too. Make reservations! Don't miss it!
We each had a glass of Spanish red wine; my 2014 (?? winery) Grenache blend was fabulous and very reasonably priced. For food, we had the grilled octopus, roasted cauliflower and spinach. All were fabulous.
We had a lovely Tapas lunch outdoors on the patio. Service was very good. The only comment I have on their food is it is a bit oily. Other than that the flavors were delicious. Service was very good and attentive.
The grilled artichokes and the cauliflower w blue cheese were favorites!
We were a party of four on a SThurs afternoon pre-wine Tasting lunch
We shared octopus, pan tomate, cod, olives and salad
Had a wonderful bottle of whit wine which we discussed with the Somm.
Service was fantastic. Barndiva is extremely organized- contactless everything- they are prepared for Covid restrictions and keep Both patrons and staff safe. We four frequent Healdsburg restaurants and were very very impressed.
Another plus is the atmosphere, which is lovely because you’re in the garden. It’s all extremely charming and so special.
Simply the best food in Healdsburg, creative and delicious. I recommend to all my friends.
This was our first escape from our Covid cocoon - my husband and I are both good cooks. Other than occasional takeout, we have been cooking since the first shutdown in 2020. After being fully vaccinated, we were ready to try our wings. We have frequented Brava’s pre Covid and knew that they had a fairly large outdoor patio for dining. They sat us in the corner under the canopy and next to the heat lamp. Our server Ethan was excellent! We felt relaxed, not rushed and he made some suggestions regarding their new post Covid menu. The octopus, crab stuffed peppers, lamb sliders and paella were great choices. Leave room for dessert! OMG! The soft serve ice cream with sea salt and baby beignets were to die for! We enjoy great food so the price point didn’t bother us. We didn’t choose it for value. Great place for date night. Not for children.
Enjoyed a delicious selection of Tapas and great service from Ethan.
Bravas is a unique restaurant. The food is great but the wine pours are terrible. We are in the heart of the wine country (yes some of the wines are from Spain) but please 8-12$ for a very small glass is not fair.
Wow, great food
Wowed by the crew at Bravas. The food was the best tapas I’ve had in a long time, Covid/pandemic notwithstanding, and on par with Barcelona and San Sebastián Spain for both food and atmosphere. Wish we would have tried the red/classic sangria; the white and cava based varieties were less authentic/could have been better. Locals are lucky to be able to dine here regularly and outdoors .
Bravas really needs to open a place in the Napa Valley! Unfortunately, the long drive keeps us from being regulars. This is the closest place to a Tapas Bar in Spain that we have found North of San Francisco. The octopus is always consistent and melts in your mouth. If you haven't been, you're missing out.
My husband and I went to Bravas Bar to celebrate his Birthday. This was our 4th time at the restaurant. As usual, the food and service was excellent. No complaints whatsoever.
What an amazing lunch with friends from out of town! Every tapa ordered was excellent! We had Iberico Jabon, papas, both delicious breads that were offered, olives, eggplant chips with honey, skirt steak, chicken thighs with tapenade, Piccadillo peppers with crab, chicken croquettes, and finally dessert was chocolate mousse and hot rum balls. Nice selection of wines and expresso coffee ! Great service, plenty of water and an exceptional day outdoors!! Thank you for a delightful time!!
What a great find in Healdsburg! Great food, ambiance, and tasty cocktails!
As always, the food was marvelous and the service was friendly yet not intrusive. Great experience.
Awesome food and service Franklin was terrific
Other than Barcelona, best tapas ever!
Wonderful service, intriguing menu choices and relaxing patio filled with happy diners and a few happy, well-behaved dogs.
Can't wait to visit again, and our waiter was beyond accommodating!
My favorite place to eat when in Wine Country. Excellent and interesting food.
Great tapas. Good variety with traditional Spanish and unusual items excellently prepared, seasoned and presented using fresh local ingredients creatively. Something for every palate. Excellent service and attention to detail. Affordably priced. Highly recommend.
