Bravas Bar de Tapas
Bravas serves traditional Spanish dishes along with tapas-style dining and has been named in the Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants in 2013, 2014 and 2015 by the San Francisco Chronicle. Sit out on the covered patio any time of the year and enjoy a chilled Tapa of Salmorejo soup or tuna belly salad. Join a group of friends indoors at Bravas while dining on a warm Tapa of bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese, warm bacalao on wood grilled flatbread or the Pocket Creak Duck Egg served sunnyside up with Chorizo cracklings and toast. Other menu items include Monterey Calamari served with salsa verde, blackened lamb porterhouse or the skirt steak with red onion marmalade and Valdeón Cheese.
Bravas offers a large selection of local and Spanish wines, sangrias and Spain inspired cocktails that will not only quench your thirst but will complement your food perfectly and authentically.
Love Bravas! Any time my friends and I come to Healdsburg, we eat here. Never dissapoints!
This is a great place that my wife and I frequent often. The food and service is always great. The place does draw a lively crowd and so if you are sitting indoors it is rather loud. But that being said, we go back again and again.
I have been to this restaurant before and loved it! This time I got food positioning! Beware! Something is not right in the kitchen!!!!
Food was excellent and staff were really warm and welcoming. Bravas made our date night feel very special!
My husband and I love Healdsburg. Pretty much every restaurant you find is great but Bravas de Tapas is not only amazing food but the atmosphere is light and unpretentious. The space is adorable and sitting outside in the backyard is like going to a neighbors party! We shared some tapas, to start. Got the tortilla, patatas Bravas, and the jamon, all amazing! Then we shared the paella and the skirt steak. The paella was authentic and the steak was cooked perfectly. If you get the chance to go to this restaurant I highly recommend you go! Go with a big group so you can try all the tapas and get some of there signature cocktails.
Food and staff were amazing. Definitely will be back again.
We had, as always, a wonderful experience. Their back garden dining is amazing - casual but with superb food.
The service is always top notch - under Spencer’s leadership they all work together, in an efficient, seamless and friendly way. Remains my favorite restaurant in the world!
Bravas never disappoints! Crispy pig ears, octopus, soft serve with tangerine oil, and the cocktails! All so delicious! We had a lovely table outside with our dogs which was very comfortable and the service was friendly and attentive. One of the best restaurants in Healdsburg!
We visited Spain this summer and have craved authentic Spanish style tapas since then. The food here was delicious and the patatas bravas were almost exactly the same as in Spain. Will definitely recommend to others and hope to visit again!
We were a group of 15 from NY visiting wine country and we always make it a priority to stop at Bravas, one of our favorite places to eat. They were superb in seating us together, and we had fantastic service and we just love the food. Well done
This was our second time in Healdsburg and we were excited to eat at Bravas again. Just as fabulous as we remembered! Great small plates, perfect for sharing. The wait staff was great with really good suggestions. Kudos to Gideon who said we should get the rum balls, split them open, order the ice cream and put it inside. Yum! We have named the dish "The Gideon". Great cocktails, too! My favorite is the Cava Sangria. Highly recommend eating outside. The back patio and bar area are really cozy. There are space heaters if it is a bit cool and if you are still chilly, the staff offers you a blanket! This is a must when you are in Healdsburg!
This is our go-to restaurant for lunch. It is always consistently great!
The food was served less than room temperature and was very slow getting to the table even though the venue was less than half full. The food tasty but I prefer my food hot. Took way to loong for the bone marrow and service was spotty.
Food was hit & miss. The flank steak medium rare was as miss, expected a good char on the steak with a medium rare inside, not cooked correctly. The salad & croquetas were good. The service was lack luster. Took 15 minutes for the wait staff to even greet us, throughout our meal no one asked if we wanted to place an additional order, asked if our meal was good, nothing. 150$ lunch for a party of four which included one beer & a pitcher of Sangria, we expected more. It was our friends birthday, he left a bit hungry. Better options in Sonoma for a nice dining experience.
We had a great lunch here. Food was good, service was attentive but not overbearing, nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Good birthday celebration
We had an exceptional experience here on a Friday night. We were in town for a cycling event and had no idea where to eat. This was the perfect spot. We sat in the back and our waiter (I think his name was Franklin) was amazing! Very friendly and personable and super helpful! We will definitely be back!
Very good selection of small plates and an interesting wine list. Enjoyed the outside back yard. We went on a Wednesday night on the first day of a large power outage. But it was steadily busy. Really liked the Tortilla Omelette, the skirt steak and the rum balls. Finished up with flight of Spanish sherries. Nice place. We went there for our 20th anniversary. But did not mention it, we wanted a mellow evening with good food.
Great food and service as usual.
Everything we ordered was delicious!
Really enjoyed our dinner, great flavors and aromas.
First learned about Bravas on Check Please and had to try it when near by- was everything and more. Michael, our server, along with the unique cocktails, delicious food, and fun patio ambiance made for a terrific evening. We would definitely go back. Just which it was closer.
We outside on the deck. It’s a fun casual atmosphere. I was very pleased that they had a gluten free menu but read the fine print if cross contamination is an issue for you. The food was fine, some dishes better than others.
Fantastic food and service - authentic! My wife studied in Sevilla and loved it!
Nice outdoor patio with unique bar. Cocktails were as delicious as the food. Tapas were easy to share and the paella was cooked just right.
We had a wonderful time. Lots of new flavors. I liked the overall ambience.
We found bravas from bayarea check please recommendation from last week segment... and we are so excited since spanish tapas in healdsburg sound really interesting even its a drive up from where we are.. i booked a reservation and here we are.! My boyfriend parents goes to spain almost every year so i really wanted to bring them here to try the food cause i know how much they love spain.. the service was really good and the place was really nice but it all comes down to food.. the food dissapointed us especially the patatas bravas which is too hard to chew and too dry.. the food is not put well together..
Im a fan of trying all different food and places but i was really dissapointed..
There's a good choice of cold and hot tapas as well as three Raciones. The food was very well prepared although I think the tinned sardines didn't sound too appealing or in keeping with the theme. I can understand why this is a favorite with Healdsburg residents. The wine was expensive, $60 for 750 ml served in a carafe or all things. Our server was charming and friendly, it didn't seem to bother her that we weren't regulars. The place soon got very busy and they were turning people away, or they couldn't or wouldn't wait. All in all, a tasty evening out.
The service was fantastic! The food was incredible. The variety of food on the menu will appeal to everyone. It is our new spot in the wine country. It is worth the drive.
The staff went above and beyond to make our experience a delight!
Food was delicious and service was attentive. I found the patio to be comfortable if a bit noisy. My chair had not been wiped clean by staff before my arrival so cleanliness was a small, but notable issue. Overall experience was worthy of 4 out
We visited when the restaurant first opened,
A year ago after returning from Spain and
Found the food was just like what we experienced
In Spain. we loved the mushroom dishes.
This time it was a big disappointment, it felt like
The restaurant was sold and it was a poor copy
Of it’s original concept. Service was poor.
Wait staff usually asks if you you would like desert
Before giving you the bill. That didn’t happen.
We have even recommended the restaurant to
Others, not anymore.
From start to finish this was a culinary delight. All of the food was delicious and some had flavors I could not recognize, but loved. This Is definitely a higher priced establishment but great for a special occasion. We will return.
Paella at Bravas Bar de Tapas was phenomenal, had a couple of very delicious Gin and Tonics as well.
Great food and atmosphere! Music was a bit loud for Sunday midday.
Spanish tapas are excellent. The sangria was good. Great wine list and excellent menu items are added all the time.
