Brasswood Bar + Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
I must say, the first time I dined at Brasswood about a year ago, I was less than impressed. However, this experience could not have been better. My server, Neal, was outstanding-including making sure the glassware was proper for the wine I brought. My food was incredible. The fresh Mozzarella is not to be missed. Iceberg wedge has a nice hint of tarragon in the dressing to add freshness to the palate. I ordered the duck breast. It was cooked perfectly and its presentation was really well done. Their wine list is thoughtful.
I will be back soon and often.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Brasswood on December 29th. Requested a quiet-ish table and got one that allowed conversation and not rubbing elbows with other diners. :)
Host/hostess seated us quickly (7pm reservation and we were about 10 minutes early). Service was prompt, professional and attentive.Water and wine opened shortly after seating.
Food was excellent... mozzarella cheeze and stuffed mushroom first course (with house bread requested too), porkchop and lambchop were mains with tasty sides. Both excellent though I did order the lampchop and thought it the better of the two dishes. Lamb cooked to perfection, medium rare. Tiramisu for dessert.
Sommelier opened our '05 Ravenna Cab we brought, was familiar with the wine, we shared a tasting with him. Wine list is extensive and comprehensive.
We are 40+ year residents of Napa Valley. Brasswood is one of those gems that we will return to.
Easy access north of St Helena with ample parking.
I can't wait for spring/summer to enjoy the al fresco dining.
Visited here on a whim while driving around Wine Country during the Holidays. Very glad we did. Delicious food and drinks all around! Their Mozzarella crustini appetizer was phenomenal. We enjoyed everything we ate including the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and their Burger. The Service could have been better as we didn't receive one of the appetizers we ordered (Carpaccio) but they responded well by bringing it out and comping it which was a good response. Also had to keep asking for water which is a pet peeve of mine and one way I judge just how good the service really is. Regardless, will definitely return next time we visit Napa (hopefully again soon).
We went there on the spur of the moment, having dined there before and really liked the selection, portion size and flavors. Of course the fresh hand made mozzarella was amazing as usual. I recommend the place for anyone, as they have something for every diet.
Holy Cow! Brasswood was wonderful. My wife and I knew we found a great place when our waiter, Neil's, eyes rolled back as he described the dinner specials. The meal lived up to our new-found anticipation. The French onion soup and minestrone were delicious as were the short rib sugo and pork scaloppini. Topped off with a butterscotch panna cotta and prickly pear sorbet, we were satiated, comforted, and at peace. Thank you for the beautiful experience Brasswood. We will be back!
Restaurant was extremely busy when we first arrived. Server greeted us but then we did not see him for about 10 minutes. When he did get to us he was extremely apologetic and went above and beyond about service and made our dinner very a great experience. Highly recommend this restaurant and our server!
Unbeatable food and wine! Our server didn't rush us, but he seemed slightly rushed and anxious himself, which was a bit unsettling. However, the dry-aged Porterhouse steak and the Stanton Petite Syrah were so delicious, nothing could detract from them! Also, the house-made mozzarella, ahi salad, Blue cheese wedge salad, and tiramisu for dessert - all just lovely and delicious! We called ahead and had the wine decanted. Highly recommended. We ate outside. I noticed that the noise level inside was rather high and I know I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much, but outside was most pleasant.
My husband and I chose Brasswood for our anniversary dinner. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we couldn't decide what to order. We decided on several appetizers (fresh mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, and the meatballs) and all were fresh and delicious. For dinner, I had the cheese ravioli and he opted for the filet mignon. Both were filling and yummy. To finish off, we had a caramel panna cotta and a dessert wine that the server recommended based on our dessert selection. We came home with food, but everything was decadent and rich. We both highly recommend Brasswood for their food, atmosphere, and service. We will be back!
Food was quite good . Service was almost nonexistent . Our server was MIA for most of our meal. An add-on salad for a latecomer to our group took over a half hour. There was no one picking up dirty plates. For a restaurant celebrating the Wine Country, it was surprisingly dark with no feel of connection to the setting. And the noise level was excruciating.
