Each dish unique and delicious. Hard to choose a favorite...the salad was amazing; the kampachi was delicious; the chicken was crispy and yummy; but the risotto was over to top. It was a perfect umami dish. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back!
Brassica is one of the best restaurants in JP.
Also the lemon curd on the honey pie is delicious. Could be really good for a lemon tart. :)
Honey pie is also very delicious.
Anyone going there cannot leave with out having the Tea Sandwich.
Brassica was amazing. Our best dining experience! We are still talking about the cured halibut...
Delicious, innovative food... looking forward to going again
One of the most imaginative and creative restaurants I have had the pleasure to frequent. Staff engaging and, justly, proud of their product.
Brassica is our absolute favorite place for dinner in the Boston area. Highly recommend!
Always amazing. You are doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t been to Brassica. Go now!
Wonderful oasis of fine & interesting food. Tapas style meant for tasting. Brussel sprouts, risotto, beets, cauliflower, fried chicken all fab. GREAT enthusiastic servers and chef visits all diners. Love this place.
What a wonderful and inventive combination of flavors and textures.
Brassica is consistently wonderful. Wonderful service, wonderful food. They (owners, chefs and staff) are clearly all really happy to be doing what they’re doing and it shows in the delicious dishes they serve and the warmth they receive customers with. I’m so grateful they are in my neighborhood and I’ll keep going back.
Amazing food. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. A little pricey but worth every penny.
Every single bite of food was perfection. I can't think of a time where every texture, flavor, seasoning and combination tasted so good. The people there are simply the best. It's like you're at a neighborhood diner with Michelin Star food.
This is a local gem, everything is always outstanding
Funky fun and delicious
Excellent food and superior service
We made this reservation to celebrate a Anniversary. Was awesome seeing the energy and friendliness of a server greeting us! He set the tone off right and led us to our reserved table. We decided to order “The Ride” a $50/person experience provided by the chef. In total we had seven courses. The meal started off strong, with a watermelon salad as well as a potato salad. Both of these dishes will be ordered again on our 2nd visit. The next course was a delicious lamb skewer that we wanted to order again immediately. We followed that with a sushi rice dish on charred broccoli. This dish was good but did not stand up to how the other dishes were. A risotto dish came after that was seasoned perfectly. A highlight of the meal. The next two dishes that followed was a tuna nigiri and udon bowl. Both dishes equally hard to describe. The tuna nigiri had a lot going on as a dish, especially with a slight cheddar flavor. My partner and I had split opinions, I enjoyed it while they did not. We had unanimous dislike for the udon dish. The absolute best part of the meal was the dessert. A fresh donut with strawberry and rhubarb. We would return just for the donut alone.
Everyone was so original, unique, friendly and fresh!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Will be returning!
Phenomenal food. Knowledgeable wait staff. Great service. Quite loud though. Will go back!
Excellent all around. One of the beat meals we’ve had in Boston.
I’m so glad we came here! The evening began with a terrific jazz band...and then we started to eat!!! The beets were great as always, but the cauliflower and fig salad blew me away. Mmmmm....
Then on to the caviar French omelette. Udon noodles. The now-I-can-die-happy risotto. And I refused to leave without fried chicken.
The server was wonderful. Wine excellent.
My colleague and I were VERY happy campers!
New favorite restaurant in JP! The food and service were both excellent. The menu is super exciting and everything was delicious, and our server went out of her way to accommodate my food allergies. The live music was a welcome surprise, despite making it a tad difficult to hear the person I was with. I have already recommended Brassica to friends and will definitely be back!
The food at Brassica is always an adventure. Some things are good and some are amazing. (This visit it was the fried rice and the udon in that second category.). The wine list is so thoughtful and the amaro is a revelation!
Best restaurant in Boston by FAR. Need I say more?
Wonderful new flavors!
Very creative menu with some really outstanding dishes.
Knowledgeable and extremely friendly and interactive staff.
Looking forward to going back again!
Five of us, ordered the first eleven things on the menu to share. It was awesome. If we ever have a group of six we can get the burger and fried chicken too.
The first thing you will notice is that everyone seems genuinely delighted that you have come to Brassica Kitchen. The second thing is that nothing on the menu looks completely familiar. Ask the servers. They know about the unfamiliar ingredients and give good advice. The wonder of Brassica is how delicious everything tastes. My favorites this visit were the salad with pear and gorgonzola, the risotto, the brussel sprouts, and the beets. I also loved the noodles with a french omelet and lovely vegetables. And that covers everything we ordered, an abundance that prevented our party of two from trying the desserts I know, from previous visits, are excellent. Try Brassica Kitchen next time you go out. You will be amazed.
The food at Brassica Kitchen is outstanding. Interesting, surprising even, and well crafted without exception. The staff is efficient, service is good. My one complaint is that the staff is overly familiar and informal in a way that seems scripted and forced. The rest of the experience more than makes upfpr that though.
Very nice place with very nice staff, we took the 7 plates course with beer pair, very nice tastes discovery.
I have been looking for a chance to go to Brassica, and my friend being in town was the perfect excuse to go... the shared plate style isn’t for everyone, but it was perfect for us. The place is warm and inviting, everyone around us was having a great time and enjoying their food. We got 4 dishes and each was super delicious and precisely prepared. Miso Brussels sprouts were crispy and tasty, udon with peas and lobster butter was an umami bomb, I want to go back just for those two dishes.
The only negative was the Mom Jeans cocktail I tried and it tasted like Chloraseptic throat spray. But that might just be my palate, I don’t know.
Definitely want to go back for a date night soon!
Fabulous, great tasting menu with perfect wine pairings, totally unpretentious and friendly, even funny, service. Each dish had something unique and surprising
I really loved Brassica Kitchen. There were three of us and we ordered five small plates. We got the brussel sprouts, fried chicken, brioche & uni butter, fried rice, and the wagyu filet. The brussel sprouts were amazing and the hot sauce that came with the fried chicken was to die for. I'm from the southwest and usually find that New England food isn't spicy enough, but this hot sauce was spot on. Usually when the menu is eclectic I don't end up liking everything, but I loved everything we ordered. We were worried that with small plates we'd still be hungry after our meal, but everything was super filling. The drinks were very inventive and interesting. We ordered the honey pie & birthday cake donut for dessert- the donut came with a Star Wars lego! The wait staff were incredibly friendly and all of them seemed genuinely happy to be there. The restaurant has a chill vibe and while it was crowded it wasn't too loud. We were there for a while and had a couple of drinks each, but the bill was very reasonable.
Fabulous, unusual flavors. Tiny plates for the most part. If you don't mind $$$, it's fantastic. Great cocktail, super innovative. Great, friends service!
The food as Brassica is sublime. The people who work there are welcoming, personable, knowledgeable, fun. And. the food is one of a kind dishes, little masterpieces.
This was our second visit to this outstanding neighborhood gem
We were met at the door by the manager Noah and found out I was a day early for the reservations I had mistakenly made. The service in the staff are absolutely spectacular and that's just a start. The food is worth five stars alone. i had brioche with Uni butter and a dish of Udon noodles that was off the charts
One of my favorite restaurants in all of Boston.
Excellent food, service. We love it!
Unexpected delight! Food you will talk about for weeks.
Brassica is one of the very best restaurants in Boston! The sauces here are amazing and so unique and interesting and complex. They currently have an extra part of their menu with outstanding Hiramasa plates (yellowtail kingfish). The Brussel Sprouts with maple syrup are delicious, the udon noddles with lobster butter are to die for, and the grilled Salmon is perfect! On top of all that, their staff is so kind and chill and quick to help with anything you need. There are free grilled cheese sandwiches for kids or a pasta with cheese dish that isn't free but quite good! Highly recommend Brassica!
Great, interesting, smart dishes! The ambiance and service were spectacular as well. I’ll be there again!
Always delicious and so warm and friendly!
I need another bowl of that udon with lobster butter and grilled ramps... so good!
