We are regulars and love the restaurant- this time though and for the first time the food choices did not quite work for us! Great service as usual and atmosphere
Great food, great service! Dishes are the perfect size for sharing- We ordered 2-3 per person and had fun deciding on our favorites, which made the evening fun and memorable. Leave room for dessert!
Delicious, inventive, seriously the best. Friendly stall, great service, changing menu. Always amazing.
As always, the food and service were spectacular. The food is creative and interesting. If you like new and different food, this is definitely the place for you. Their small plates are best when shared. That way you get to try more stuff.
Overall the food was very good. Ordered the brussel sprouts, the Sprouts were a little overdone and I thought overdressed, although the flavors were great. Would have liked a bit more brussel sprout flavor. The ribeye steak dish was great, if you like torched on the outside and Raw on the inside. Great flavors. Also ordered the beets dish, the beach were done perfectly and the dressing had great depth of flavor, perhaps just a little overdressed. The roasted sunchokes we're done very well and very well-dressed . The service was great.
Every piece of food we had was delicious. Complex, textural, balanced. Best food in Boston for awhile.
The cocktail program here is exceptional. As well as the good, I highly recommend the BK bolognese.
I had the honey pie for desert and everything about was perfect.
Good for a solo dine like I did myself, or to bring friends along and try their tasting menu. I didn’t get to try it but given the food I did have here I can only imagine is incredible.
Will definitely be returning soon!
My fiance and I visited Brassica Kitchen to celebrate our 6 years together. We were interested in the adventurous menu, plus small plates are our go-to! We chose to do the whole ride - 7 appetizer/dinner plates, 1 dessert, and 3 wine pairings. We were very impressed by the creativeness of the dishes. Many of them seemed like what you would see on Iron Chef Gauntlet. Our server was also very accommodating to a dislike of mayonnaise/cream sauces. We will absolutely return, excited to see what new items rotate through the menu throughout the year!
We love this neighborhood place. Staff is quite friendly. Food is always great but this time it was better than ever! Couldn’t even ick best fish. Sometimes it can be loud and hard to talk but this time was not-maybe cuz it was weekday.
Super friendly staff and awesome service. Very responsive to celiac concerns. Food was delicious.
We enjoyed the food. But the small plates style here meant: we will bring everything really quickly so you will be done with dinner in 30 minutes.
We did "The Ride" and were so surprised by the complexity and uniqueness of the flavors and sauces. All the staff were super friendly. Such a gem in JP!
I can’t stop going to this restaurant. We get the Ride, which is their tasting menu and it never disappoints. This is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. Their food is so creative and hits all the notes in terms of texture and flavor combinations. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. I can’t wait to go back.
Loved it! Especially fried chicken and hamburger
great place.. chef stopped by the table and complimented us on our order and gave us a complimentary dish! good time
Thrilled Ramen Tuesdays are back-- and you can't beat free grilled cheeses for the Kiddos. Superb cocktails, as always!
Festive food, good service
Great restaurant. Four was delicious and creative.
Brassica may be our favorite restaurant in the Boston area! The food here is fantastic and service is always great. The brussel sprouts and fried chicken are AMAZING. It's worth coming here for just those 2 dishes. We also ordered the burrata and bolognese, both of which were fantastic.
Without question, Brassica is the best restaurant in Boston.
Unbelievable meal! One of the best I’ve had in a long time. So creative, so tasty! Love the Brassica team!
Outstanding food, beautifully plated. Creative chef. Friendly, personal, attentive service. The only issue is noise level, so I prefer to go earlier in the evening.
Loved everything about it
It’ll be my go to restaurant
Just moved to town‼️
One of my favorite spots in JP! The food and drinks are always incredible and the staff members are absolutely wonderful. Perfect for special occasions or if you just want to share a wonderful dining experience with a friend or loved one.
Simply amazing food. We tried about 10 different dishes, and each one was excellent and unique.
The food that I’ve had there is outstanding, and the servers are all wonderful. The only two criticisms I have are that depending on what you order, you may end up with a hefty bill and a very small portion of food. Also, there are a lot of tables and not much room to move around. I’d say it’s definitely worth a shot though!
As always... Brassica was excellent!
The FOOD is AMAZING! The WAIT STAFF are helpful, kind and on the ball!! The CHEFS are so talented and fun!
Hadn’t tried it before because of the traffic around Forest Hills, but now it’s going to be one of our regular JP dining spots. Fabulous flavors and ever-so-interesting combinations of ingredients.
Brassica Kitchen is a great place, with an amazingly inventive menu of small plates, very friendly service, and creative cocktails. Each time we are there there are interesting new dishes, plus some reliable standards. A delicious and fun dining experience.
It was delicious! Very interesting menu but very good! Fun plates to share.
The only restaurant in recent memory where every dish has had been paid masterful attention.
I booked a weeknight reservation at Brassica for an anniversary with my girlfriend. We both arrived way overdressed from more formal commitments earlier in the day - Brassica’s setting is most definitely unpretentious. Greeted by the staff who were absolutely awesome, from end-to-end.
We ended up ordering the chef’s tasting menu. Five courses plus a dessert for $40 each, and each was better than the last. Brassica’s food was original, authentic, and super creative. Prices on par with what’d you’d expect for a night out, but the quality of food and service far surpass.
Value play. Already told a number of friends to put Brassica on their list, and I can’t wait to return.
So glad I checked out Brassica at night. I'd been to the coffee shop version during the day, but it's hard to imagine it as a restaurant. However, with lowered lights and not much changing, it's a great casual dinner spot. We went for a celebratory meal and did "The Ride," their tasting menu without wine pairings for $40. We had five outstanding dishes and a strange and scrumptious dessert (chocolate moussey thing with chia seed gel? jam?). I had a special cocktail and a very nice Cabernet and my date (okay husband) had a hopped cider from a very decent beer list and a vermouth as a dessert wine. The steak and clams was to die for. The hiramasa sushi app was delicate and decadent at once. The beet-yogurt dish was tart, crunchy, and delicious. Did I mention the weird and wonderful dessert? The staff is also casual and funny while also being super on top of things and quite knowledgeable. Highly recommend even if you don't live anywhere near Forest Hills.
You can't beat the waitstaff and managers... always super helpful and friendly. And the food is fun and tasty!
Absolutely outstanding. The best dinner of my life. Let them take you on an adventure. Soooo good!!!
Great food, genuine service, excellent value. Definitely a place to try (and return again).
Amazing! We frequent Brassica for coffee and breakfast but haven't made it for dinner in a while since having a baby. They went above and beyond to accomodate our 1 year old, giving us a 4-top for 2 people + toddler so she couldn't grab at everything. They also gave her a grilled cheese right when we walked in the door so she wasn't waiting. Beyond that, the ambiance is great, service is always amazing and friendly, awesome drink menu and the food is OUTSTANDING!! Every dish was complex, and delicious. They play with flavors in the best way. Can't say enough good things about it!
While parking in this quickly densifying part of Jamaica Plain was tricky, the liveliness & warmth of the place and staff made all the difference. Creative hip spot for young & young at heart. The cocktails and food were creative & interesting with unusual or artfully use of materials. The house made amarro at the end sealed the deal!
A recent find, we just had our second dinner at Brassica. The food is very creative and delicious. The small plates are reasonably priced so you can try several options. The staff are all very welcoming and unique. We will definitely be going back, often!
So so delicious!!
