I have been here twice, and was surprised by the complex and inventive flavors that the kitchen puts out. The Brussels sprouts are superb, and the curried dates with the waffle was divine. I’ll be back a third time for sure!

Fantastic food and service. The people are terrific, able to explain the food, ensure you get what you want and whatever matches your dietary restrictions. The menu changes frequently, and is responsive to include the the community. Noise levels on a busy night are energetic, but the music and ambiance are great. This is the second time in a week I've been for dinner, and I'll go back again soon, maybe for breakfast or lunch.

All of our dishes were over-salty. Very interesting but just couldn't eat more than a few bites.

Finally got to enjoy “The Ride”; Brassica’s dinner tasting menu. Every dish was an inventive and flavorful as I’ve come to expect from this neighborhood gem. Service was friendly, attentive and informed as always. Two minor areas I would suggest could be improved; firstly as the dishes tend to be so rich and full of favor, fresh plates for each course would be preferable and allow diners to enjoy each course as intended without mixing with flavors from prior dishes. Secondly, for the cost of the tasting menu I would have appreciated an extra course or some amuses-bouches. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed The Ride and Brassica remains my favorite restaurant in JP!

We love this remarkable place! The food is complex and delicious and unlike what you will find anywhere else. Even familiar Brussels sprouts are amazing- crisp and brightly flavored with lemon and maple syrup. I’m a vegetarian and I had lots of lovely options (try the wild wild rice) while the rest of my family raved about the fried chicken and burger and brioche waffle. Every staff member seems thrilled to be part of the adventure and the wines, all natural and organic, are excellent.

Brassica is our favorite restaurant in Boston. Always a huge fan of "The Ride", the duck and poached salmon dishes were particularly remarkable.

We learned of Brassica thru Open Table’s top 100 list. Wise selection diners! We took the #wholeride. The wine pairings were diverse and tasty. The food was top notch! Highlights were the Brussels sprouts, bbq duck, and filet. Their homemade amado is way too good. Highly recommend making the trip and taking time to enjoy the entire experience.

One of our favorite restaurants in Boston. Dinner menu is innovative and delicious. Love every bite. And always changing to keep you coming back! The staff are friendly, and helpful with recommendations when needed. They genuinely are happy at their work, and appear like a family. Outstanding cocktails!!! Very creative drink menu. A lot of the spirits are made in house, and bring a uniqueness to the drinks.

Excellent food and exceptional service. With one exception (the steak) the food compares favorably with any meal we’ve had in Boston; The -very- loud music detracted somewhat from an otherwise outstanding experience. That’s clearly the vibe they’re going for though.

We have dined at Brassica Kitchen multiple times and would go more often if a reservation wasn't necessary on weekends. Food is always amazing, although pricey for small dishes. We like some of the drinks although some of them are just too unique for our tastes. The staff and service are always amazing. When we want to eat out, this is usually our first choice.

Couldn’t Be a More Welcoming Place

Dining at Brassaria is like visiting an old friend . Everyone treats you like frequent diner- friendly, great service, upbeat and sincere.

Food is classic fusion

Atmosphere like a neighborhood bistro tavern .

Love coming here .... food is good but the waitstaff makes you never want to leave!

Brassica is by far the best restaurant we have been to in the Boston/suburb area/New England area. We have dined in many restaurants in different countries and in the USA and Brassica rates in the top 3. The Fat Noodle, Mushroom rice, Brussel sprouts, Monkfish and burger are over the top. The cocktails are creative and delicious. This is truly a 5 star dining experience with a cool relaxed and friendly vibe. It is impossible to get a reservation but we got super lucky. We also were able to meet the chef who was delightful with an interesting story of how Brassica came about. We will definitely be ongoing customers.

Brassica is far and away our favorite restaurant in Boston. The food is spectacular - the kitchen is constantly reinventing dishes like fried rice or fried chicken with amazing layers of flavor, including lots of ingredients from Asian cuisines. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and the space is warm and intimate. We have a vegan in the family and the menu always offers half-dozen dishes she can eat, and the chefs have offered to make impromptu dishes for her on numerous occasions. We can't say enough about this restaurant and we constantly recommend it to everyone.

Brassica Kitchen is unique. The food is highly distinctive and consistently delicious and unlike what you will have tasted anywhere else. Special favorites this visit were the brussel sprouts flavored with maple and lemon and crispy crumbs, the black cod that was rich with spices and garnished with radishes, and the beets, perfectly cooked and dressed in a yoghurt sauce. Even the desserts are unfamiliar and fabulous. My favorite is the honey pie. Almost as remarkable as the food is the good cheer of the wait staff and chefs. Everybody seems to be having a wonderful time in this informal, gently raucous place. Make a reservation. After winning a place on both Open Table and Boston Magazine's lists of best restaurants, this neighborhood gem is no longer a secret.

Food was great, though I think a bit more attention to the timing would benefit them - my wife and I like to take our time at dinner and we were out in about 75 minutes. An aperitif is supposed to be before food shows up and once the food does show up you can wait till people have actually tried it. That said the food is great and although the music is too loud it’s ok when it’s Motörhead or George Clinton.

Brassica is more than a neighborhood spot. It's an experience. While we love the neighborhood feel and that it's local for us, we celebrate the fact that it is as good, if not better, than any other restaurant in the Boston area. What a gem. Thank you, Brassica, for all you do. What an amazing place!

Fantastic, eclectic food, great drinks, and very friendly servers who add to the enthusiasm about the menu and the place. We opted to make our own choices rather than have them chosen for us as it felt fun to choose - but I suspect either option would have been fine. We chose 6 dishes for 2 of us - several, we were told in advance, were on the smaller side - and that was plenty. Standouts are hard to choose, as all were really delicious and interesting - but I'll say the risotto, the mussels in red curry, and the fingerling potatoes w whipped feta cheese. We will find a reason to go back soon!

A really fun, enjoyable evening; attentive waitstaff, nice (small?) cocktail, tasty wines for which they were happy to give tastings . Would have tasted better in finer glasses; v clunky! We liked ordering a few plates at a time and were really impressed by the flavors and textures. Fun ,hip atmosphere. Music (Motorhead!) was too loud, but was thankfully turned down. A bit heavy on the garlic, but a great place. We learned a lot, too!

Nice vibe. Friendly host. Food was terrific (1.5 small plates per person was more than enough). Creative . They were especially accommodating to our need to have gluten free options . Drinks were also unusual and good . Music a little loud but they turned it down on request . Definitely a keeper!

Brassica has some of the most delicious and creative dishes in Boston. Their wine list is ALL NATURAL wines with many underrepresented and interesting grape varietals like Malvasia, Trebbiano

I highly recommend the Full Ride which is a great value tasting menu with a wine pairing.

They use local ingredients whenever possible, farm to table, shared plates. The risotto, fried rice, brussels, beets, and donuts are all delicious and the staff are extremely friendly, engaging, and accommodating.

It‘s artisanal food, crushable wine and craft cocktails, candlelit cozy ambience, and actually danceable jams.

Go!
