we enjoyed the meal very much , the staff was extremely polite and attentive.
The food was delicious.
Celebrated my birthday with friends and everything was great! The chef/owner even came out to have a little birthday dance with me. Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Everything I have gotten there is outstanding!
It was nice. Not much else to say except the waitress we had was very attentive and treated my son to a free birthday dessert, which was very kind.
Excellent. We already went a 2nd time, now with expanded family. Good indicator.
Very bland food. Ordered duck that was terribly under-seasoned and risotto that was under-cooked. Chef kept leaving kitchen and drinking at the bar -- might be way the food was so poor. Wildly over-priced for the quality of the food. Would definitely pass on Brasserie De Paris.
The staff was nice and seemed authentically French. The food was middling, however, I suppose it was a good value, just don't get a steak. We went out on a Saturday, so it should have been there best of the week but both of ours were overcooked to well, despite ordering medium rare, and tough as leather.
The country pâté and bouillabaisse were delicious!
Took a ride to NJ and decided to stop in Hoboken. We found this cute little restaurant for lunch, we started with the french onion soup which was delicious, and a beet salad which hit the spot. Our entree's consisted of a burger which was done to perfection and a nice piece of Salmon. Serge our waiter didn't know what to do for us, he was right on point with service and his attention in the room was outstanding. We will be back on the next trip to NJ.
Four of us went for Saturday brunch. The food was excellent. I had the Mexican eggs, which came in a pot with a tasty sauce. I loved them. Two at the table had pancakes topped with fresh fruit. This was also excellent. The fourth person had terrific french toast. The $5 bellinis and mimosas were also wonderful. The staff was very friendly. The free parking around the corner was a great bonus. Will definitely be back!
service and food are really great.
love the 'Parisian' ambiance.
Food was good. Nice vibe. But service wasn't satisfying. We got the wrong plate, wrong bills. We had to wait way too long to talk to our server. They didn't even ask if I finished coffee before they took it.
Always the best. Our favorite find in all of Hoboken.
The food was amazing and the wine list had way too much to try them all. Also has a full bar if wine isn't your thing. For a birthday dinner it was very nice and quiet. The pre fixe menu was amazing and perfectly priced!
delicious homestyle french cooking dozen oysters with two glasses of wine and set menu between 5-7 pm coq au vin and pork chop 78$ good food good service. great value
The food was excellent! The service was friendly yet professional, and the decor and ambience were perfect. Comfortable banqet and Cafe table dining. The chef, waiter and server took great care of us giving special attention to my daughter who's birthday we were celebrating: bringing a delicious dessert covered by a dome of spun sugar with a candle lit beneath. So special.
Super Prefixe. Wednesday $6 martinis ??!! Host great. Waitress super
I once decided to try this, as I live in NYC and my family is in NJ. I tried to pick Hoboken as a place in the middle, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a hidden gem for sure, especially if you appreciate a family-oriented environment.
We had a wonderful meal (did the special) and all four of us loved the presentation and the food quality! The only negative...we waited a long time for our drinks from the bar(special martinis). The chef came out and spoke with us (nice touch) and the owner chatted a bit. Very Paris like atmosphere! We will definitely go back.
Serge was great. Greeted us at the door. Sat us right down. No hovering just involved with service delivery and quality of experience,as he should be , as we don't always experience
The quality of the food and the authenticity make it a unique place for the Hoboken area. The chef personally goes to tables and checks on the customers. Nothing was left to chance when it came to the execution of the dishes.
the food was great and the service was outstanding. it was a lovely late afternoon dinner.
The food is good, but the service needs a lot of improvement. The bartenders took a long time to get to us drinks. The waiters were clueless about the food and drinks. The owner really should have practice and tasting sessions with the wait staff.
Loved it!! Great food, staff and ambiance!!
Everything was delicious. The service was incredible. Highly recommend.
I recently celebrated my wedding anniversary at Brasserie de Paris. I usually travel to Europe and the food was comparable to what you get in France - with the plus of an outstanding service! Price was reasonable and the chef even prepared a special dessert for us for the occasion!
The rack of lamb was excellent. The scallops starter was delicious. The service was excellent. This was our third time to Brasserie de Paris. We will be back.
This is my third time at this restaurant, and every time it's the service that's lacking. Don't get me wrong, the waiters/waitresses are very nice; they just keep getting things wrong. Once this is addressed, as far as I'm concerned it's a 5 star.
Always a treat to eat there. Food is consistently excellent. Have tried many of the dishes and have not been disappointed once.... Tre Bon!
Tried Brasserie De Paris for dinner Saturday night with my wife and another couple. Service was very good. The food was excellent. Serge, who greeted us at the door, made sure we were well taken care of and enjoyed ourselves throughout the evening. We'll be back!
My husband and I always come here to celebrate special occasions. The food and the service is amazing!
My first visit but it won't be my last!
We spent a wonderful Valentine's dinner here! From the moment we walked in the door, greeted by Serge, the manager, we felt like we were part of the family. Serge and his team provided excellent service.
The service was exceptional and the food was great as well. We loved the wild boar chop and the mushroom risotto! For appetizers, the foie gras was creamy and accompanying port reduction/fig sauce was excellent! As was the smoked salmon with capers and roe. For dessert, they prepared a beautiful Valentine's special- two swans kissing. They also have a good wine selection. I highly recommend spending a special occasion here or stopping by to make a regular evening special.
Fresh and authentic french . that's it
I was disappointed with my meal because even though I told my server that I'm lactose intolerant, I was still given a steak with a dairy sauce. They then brought me another one but told me it was cooked in pan with dairy. The steak remained on my bill and I wasn't offered an alternative. The fries were good but not worth the $30 for the meal. I did like the wine and we would have ordered a second bottle if we had a chance to do so.
Well over-priced for food and drinks. The food was OK, nothing to rave about . Charging $12.50 for a mixed cocktail is highway robbery. You wouldn't know this until you get your bill. Was there on a Tuesday night and I was able to count the people there on my hand...my right hand. I guess I was the guy keeping the lights on.
Didn't do very well to make it a special occasion felt like a nimber. Server was nice but overall felt cold like the lights.
I would never go here normaly because the menu is pricey for my budget but the Hudson Restaurant Week deal was awesome! $30 for three courses and paid extra for wine (a must to compliment the delicious food). Everything was absolutely amazing and the service was great. Get the créme brûlée!!!!!
The Brasserie was a nice French restaurant with delicious food and a great ambience . I has something great : Parking available for costumers on the same building
We enjoyed our Friday night dinner. Arriving before 7 p.m. we had the option of ordering from the Pre-Theatre menu which was an incredible bargain. We were warned by friends that service is rather slow, but if anything found it to be a little rushed (I think they are trying to improve a problem but may be going to another extreme). When I requested a little break between entrees and dessert to finish our wine the server was responsive.
Food was a little uneven. Two of us got the onion soup to start, it was OK, not overly salty like some but lacked depth of flavor. The wild boar pate was amazing - I wish I had got that. For entrees two of us got the liver and enjoyed that, I got the mussels mariniere. The mussels were cooked perfectly but the broth had absolutely no flavor. I had requested my fries extra crispy, they arrived rather soggy and pale - I asked for them to be cooked a little more and the result was absolutely delicious. If the chef or owner is reading this, please crispy, golden fries are the way to go. The chocolate mousse was light and creamy, but not very chocolately. The creme brulee was creamy with a zing of lemon. The coffee definitely needs help: weak and not tasty. I lived in France for over a year so know good bistro food. This place has definite potential but some of the recipes need a little tweaking to be perfect.
