Food is good but very overpriced. The Groupon softens the blow otherwise we’d never eat here. Mains are $28-40 each. NYC prices without NYC quality.
What a phenomenal French restaurant! One of the best on Long Island. great food, great service, but a bit pricey!
The food preparation and presentation is always excellent. We ordered the sole and salmon and they were perfect. It came out hot and the sauces were very flavorful and light. Service was professional responsive and courteous.
Extremely noisy. Hard to recommend, unless diners don’t mind the racket around them. Food very good, service professional. Chef accommodated my special request. Not sure I would return, however.
Not my first time at Brasserie Cassis, but it had been some time. We always enjoyed it and after this trip we were reminded of just how good it is. It has a menu for everyone with great starters and salads and good basic entrees that are really nicely prepared. I had the steak au poivre and it was excellent. The onion tarte starter was also nice. Creme Brulee was excellent. I felt like I had eaten at a premier steakhouse at a fraction of the cost. Ill be back soon!
Came here with my mother, mother in law, and my husband for Mother's Day brunch, all on a recommendation from a co-worker. The food, service, and ambiance was terrific! We ordered crepes, omelets, the crab sandwich and the croque madame, all of which were very tasty. The owner (maybe the GM) stopped by our table twice to see how we were enjoying and if we needed anything. We will be back for dinner next time!
The place has changed. They require reservation but most of the tables were empty.
Outstanding food and service. The perfect place for date night
Everything was delicious except the chicken schnitzel don't know if I would order it again felt it was to dry but all in all everything was great. Thanks for the service provided. Always go back.
I love the ambiance and the food is okay, but seems to be sliding downhill. the service is just fair! this location can't compare to the one in Huntington!
Met cousins there.
the service dropped the ball twice. it was a very busy evening. every thing else was of course outstanding as usual.
Went for brunch, food is solid but way overpriced. Get the Groupon before going.
Inexperienced servers and the food took a while to come out. However it was Restaurant Week so they were very busy. I will return on a regular day
Food and service was great. It was busy because of restaurant week but many servers and the owner kept circling to ensure we had everything we needed. I do feel incredibly bad for the servers because of the two woman sitting next to us. They were both ordering off the restaurant week and asked for every single plate to be brought out separately with two plates so they can share. The owner was unaware and sent our both entrees together. These two woman were AWFUL. This is a busy Friday night kind you and we’re so needy. So beware of other complaints against the restaurant because it was the selfish rude people not servers.
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely be going back!
Went for lunch. Took awhile to receive our meals. The burger didn’t taste too fresh but everything else was pretty good.
Fantastic food, fantastic host. Best Mussels on LI!
Don't know why I've never gone before, but I'll be going back. Dinner was excellent, with great presentation, taste and service. Owner stopped by a few times to check on us. Small place, run well - amazing to find it in the strip mall alongside Shoprite - it deserves to stand out by itself.
A wonderful dinner and the service is superb! The staff is very accommodating and we enjoyed our food
and ambience very much!
It was my wife's and my first visit. The restaurant truly looks like a Bistro in France. The food is very very good. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc and one of American Wine and french bread and butter to start.
The Lobster Club and the Slice Steak Sandwiches were terrific, topped off by perfect pommes frites.
One caution if you arrive towards 3 PM for lunch, last reservation the servers may make you feel a bit too rushed.
Always a good spot to chat and we are never rushed and are usually the last ones to leave!
We had a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely return!
Love it there the owner is great , greats everyone. Best hamburger around!
What happened to this place? It was a favorite go to for us. The food is flavorless, the drinks were not good. Wine list...if you want to call it that. 2 choices of Cabs. The little things that made this place special are no longer, the butter, the bread, the flair in the flavor of the food all gone. So disappointed. The waiter, although pleasant enough, struggled with telling us the specials. They should have just put them on a chalkboard. Rushed service, don’t know why, place was empty on a Saturday night. The bar scene, dead. Should have taken that as a sign. Won’t be going back.
We had apps of a Caesar salad & a grilled octopus, which was the best I ever had. The trout almondine and braised short rib were both very well done. The bread was, as always, fresh, warm and tasty.
Best service in town
We had to wait more than an hour after we ordered to receive our food. When complained the manager apologized but repeated the same poor service for the dessert. We had to wait another 45 min for our dessert. When asked, the waiter said they were baking the carrot cake, chocolate cake, and cheese cake that we had ordered for dessert. Was that a joke? The dessert arrived ONLY when they needed the table. So, we asked the dessert to be packed to go. They took 2 drinks off the bill to compensate for the inconvenience. Really?? They packed my pecan pie with ice cream on the top, when I returned hope it was just all melted and wilted, could not eat. Na not returning to that low level of service and will discourage my friends to go there too.
Everything was delicious. Trout almondine is always excellent. So was Friday salad and mussels. Very attentive service too
Always a good place to visit. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had the special of the day Coq Au Vin and it was a great choice.
Food was decent but very overpriced and didn’t come out hot after a long wait. The service was a total mess. Our waitress was clueless and the place wasn’t even that busy. Would I return, not sure.
Brunch was delicious!
What a beautiful French-inspired restaurant. Food is great, and the service is wonderful. Live music was good; soft and unobtrusive. Attentive on-premises manager. We will definitely return.
It became busy and very noisy around 7pm.
You can always count on an exceptional meal and attentive service at all of Cassis’ locations.
Impressive restaurant. We've been here many times and are always impressed. The food is great, the ambience is what you'd expect at this type of restaurant, great parking, easy to fi9nd, service is good & the manager, John aims to please.
They offer a very nice selection of wines, with a great bar. For dinner, we enjoyed the salmon tartare appetizer, along with an order of their delicious short ribs and their Thurs special, Coq Au Vin. DELICIOUS!
They also serve brunch, and have live music some nights.
If you haven't been, I'd suggest putting in on your short list!
We've been going to Cassis for many years. Food and service is consistently very good. Always one of our favorite places to go. We're lucky to have this as a local restaurant.
Always feel welcomed, the waiter even new what I drink and we hadn't been there for about two/three months. Food was delicious as usual. Hubby and I split everything when you get old it's rough o have apps and a dinner. Took some home. Great night.
Great food excellent and responsive service
