Brasserie Cassis Ratings and Reviews
very nice restaurant and servers are very good. The food was very good however, the escargot lacked garlic therefore the french ambiance was not there. The food itself was very good I had the salmon and my husband had the pork chop both dishes were very good.
We will go back again....
We have been coming here for years. The food is always very good and the service is excellent. I love the Tuna Tartar, Mussels and Roast Chicken for 2! the Duck is great as is the Steak frits. This is just a wonderful restaurant that is never disappointing.
One of our favorite restaurants to visit. Always want to try a new spot but Cassis is so consistently good that we keep coming back. Salmon and escargot is amazing and we love the specials, homemade desserts is a must! Food is fantastic, staff is friendly and helpful. The manager Amy is a gem! She is always welcoming, always has great recommendations. She’s one of the most attentive managers I’ve ever come across (and we dine out a lot). You can just tell she loves food, people and her job. It makes all the difference.
There's nothing like a French restaurant in a strip mall, and I say that without sarcasm. An excellent French chef who chooses to set up, not in the fanciest place in town, or some ancient mansion, but somewhere accessible to anyone, is likely to be a chef who loves food, loves cooking, and loves to bring something spectacular to anyone who wants it. My steak tartar was brilliantly flavorful and filled me with energy. Our cocktails were prepared simply and beautifully. The mussels were of such flavorful preparation and quantity that I could have eaten them all night, and the saumon moutarde was beyond incredible. And the homemade pumpkin ice cream? That was a meal in and of itself.
This was a return visit for my wife and I. We eaten here numerous times over the years. It seemd as if the entire staff and possibily the chef turned over to a less than stellar crew. Food was ok, not as good as usual and the wait staff was unattentive. May not visit again for a long while if at all. There are too many other very good neighborhood choices.
Service was excellent ... food was good but priced to high as well ad the drinks. The specialty cocktails , while good, were small and gone in a few sips.
Side Note ... though a French restaurant, I do not think there was one French person working there , but it didn't take away from the service , but could not be called an authentic French restaurant experience.
We must have been at this restaurant at least a dozen times for both lunch and dinner. Overall, the vibe, service and food have been pretty good. We especially enjoy long, leisurely, lunches. The evening can be a bit noisy. The mussels are great. The lunch specials are a good value.
We had a 7:30 reservation on a Thursday. When we arrived the restaurant was a bit noisy but it did calm down around 8pm. The food is outstanding French cuisine. In addition to our waiter checking on our entrees, the manager Amy stops at each table to make sure everything is satisfactory. I thought was a nice touch.
Great ambiance. Food is always very good, just not a great place if you're a vegetarian/vegan. Not one thing on the menu as a vegetarian option unfortunately. Waiter had to ask chef if they could prepare pasta with vegetables in lemon butter sauce.
Regardless, doesn't stop me from going with friends Bc it's consistently good.
Would just love if there was a small section on the menu for those who don't want to dine on livestock.
