Excellent!!!! The food is great, filling enough to take home. The service is great ,always there with water. Makes you feel like your in Paris
Love this place. Cassis is my go to spot for fine dining
Food is delicious. Service is always good. Drinks are awesome. It is a bit pricey although the food is very good.
Very good french restaurant! Love the food there and it reminds me of Paris ! Is a “must try “ restaurant
This visit delivered with excellent duck and French ambiance. Caesar salad and Pinot Noir we're great compliments.
Just like Paris. No rushing even on a busy Saturday!
The duck was not as crip as we hope this time. In the past it was perfect.
Great food and service brings me back to this French brasserie all the time
Went for brunch and we had so much fun. Food was exceptional, service top notch. We’re coming back!!!
The food that I had always remembered as being excellent, was mediocre at best.
Always great food and responsive service
Wasn’t really overwhelmed. Would rather pay the money we paid and go to la plage.
Please read the entire review before making your decision.
My husband and I frequent here a lot. To the point where I feel like we have a standing reservation. The service is on point, the drinks are on point, BUT recently the menu has changed dramatically to where the majority of dinner items are sandwiches. I honestly thought I was given the lunch menu by mistake.
Some of the staples were removed such as the sautéed shrimp and seared scallops with mushroom risotto, beef bourguignon aux tagliatelles, the steak ah poivre, and all of the weekly specials. They were all replaced with salads and sandwiches.
We ended up ordering the duck (which by the way the original duck breast with duck confit was removed a while ago... their best dish by far) and the crab salad sandwich. Both tasted good but for dinner I want a heartier dish. I didn’t have many options.
This review is hopefully something that will reach the chef or whoever made the decision to change the entire menu. We love this place but we’re disappointed in the menu and lack of comparable dishes.
Brasserie Cassis is a lovely little French style cafe with a pleasant ambiance , a patient, attentive waitstaff and delicious food that is presented in a lovely manner. Would recommend the French Onion Soup and the thick pork shop, as well as the salads. The chicken, however was a bit dry and over cooked on one occasion. Certainly worth a visit.
Good meal at Cassis, had the lobster sandwich, it was delicious, burger and fries were good too!
After hearing great things about this restaurant, we decided to give it a shot for a date night/ birthday dinner. Our meal was outstanding. The ambiance was nice. It was a great choice.
Everything was great, but when it came time to pay the bill there was an awkward situation. When I payed the bill we leave a cash tip on the table, so on the credit card slip the tip is zero. The waiter came back looking for his tip!!! This is what I found distasteful. So we decided to leave less of a tip, and the waiter was clearly displeased with that and followed us out of the restaurant. Not a pleasant ending to an otherwise lovely evening
Really enjoyed our evening, food was fantastic very French, delicious. Nice atmosphere and very reasonable. Definitely going back.
Our server was very attentive and a great sport, the food was all delicious, I will definitely be back!
I took my wife on our Anniversary as she has traveled extensively in France and wanted to have her enjoy a "French" experience closer to home-she loved it and felt the ambiance and choices on the menu were very authentic. The food was delicious and as I am a vegetarian found enough on the menu to fill me up.
A great atmosphere for lunch or a romantic dinner. Food is delicious.
Brasserie Cassis is a local neighborhood restaurant for me. I have eaten here on many occasions over the years and since it has opened. I follow and eat at this restaurant groups other restaurants as well.
For me to go here for a special occasion has been usually a great experience. Valentine's Day may have been my worst experience with this restaurant so far. Only the food and drinks were off.
We always start off with the House (champagne) sparkling wine Usually good, cold and decent enough for $10. Valentines Day, not good, not cold and probably Persecco, and not their regular French stuff. No we did not send it back as it is not all that important for me. A sweet Persecco, not even brut.
Next - Salad Cassis - always big enough for two, lots of stuff, blue cheese and nuts. Not this time. The salad was reduced by 50%, 2 beets, a small sprinkling of cheese and no nuts (menu still states nuts?) Again, quite disappointing for a regular customer.
Entrée of Chicken and Steak were to perfection as usual.
If the restaurant is having problems, they are showing it. I will give them one last chance in a few weeks.
For $125 the meal should be much better and not leave you disappointed.
This is our go to place to celebrate or just have a wonderful dining experience.
Everything from the beginning to the end of the meal was wonderful except the noise level is insane.
Restaurant was extremely loud. Table of young parents with screaming toddlers on a Saturday night and they did nothing to quiet the children. Also, while the food was good, it came to the table at the pace of eating at the diner. I didn't expect an all night affair, but I didn't expect to be completely done with my evening in under an hour.
Loved my meal at Brasserie Cassis. Had the onion soup, which was flavorful and hearty. Enjoyed the pork chop, smothered with almonds, kale and fingerling potatoes. A bit sweet for me, but still an interesting dish. The chocolate mousse was out of this world.
The food was exceptionally delicious. I went at noon on a Sunday for brunch and had an enjoyable afternoon. The wait for each course took time so definitely not a quick bite but it is worth the wait. You are not rushed and can enjoy your conversation with your table and the food was hot, super fresh and delicious! Steak was tender and perfect! Mussels -- again perfect with crispy hot and fresh baguettes.
Excellent French bistro-style dinner.
Solid apps -- onion tart w warm goat cheese & also a great clam dish (no cheese board choice, oddly) and very good entrees.
Salmon, shrimp risotto and the roast chicken were the mains.
Creme brulee and the apple tart dessert.
Service was on point, atmosphere is very cozy even though it's a storefront. It get crowded Fri and Sat, and loud, too. If you don't like that, start early and make a reservation on those days.
We loved it!
Enjoyed the food. I had a red snapper special, husband had the duck and Mom had the sole. All very good and nicely presented. Good wine and beer selection.
I have been there several times in the last 6 months and each time the food and service were wonderful. I am looking forward to going back again very soon. The best review I think I can leave is that I can't wait to go back.
As usual, Cassis never disappoints! The food is delicious, the service is always efficient and friendly - which is why we keep going back. They have the best french onion soup around, the daily ravioli is always amazing - they cook their fish and steak to perfection. And a meal wouldn't be a meal with out the madelines for dessert.
Birthday celebration. Our first time, we loved it.
Extremely pleased and glad our 4 guests were impressed by reminiscing real Parisian cuisine.
Its our third time eating at this restaurant; restaurant week. We will return soon.
Always delicious and such a nice atmosphere! Perfect for date night or groups getting together. Love everything about Cassis!
The service, food, and manager Joel are all excellent.
Food was excellent, very tiny dining room and close proximity to other tables, didn’t have our wine selection, the waiter then brought over a bottle of the house wine and opened it without waiting, we didn’t want it and ordered our 2nd choice wine which they did have. Place was packed and service a bit slow. The Coquilles St Jacque was excellent as were the lamb chops.
Our dinner was fabulous !
Always find the food delicious, and the service is very good too. Only complaint is that it's a bit overpriced. Would go more often if the sandwiches weren't $15-$18.
Always good. the duck, lamb stack and fish are cooked correctly and prepared with well matched vegs and starch. They know how to cook.
We had a group of 12 for my sister’s engagement party. They were very accommodating in scheduling our group, but we waited for over an hour for appetizers and another 40 minutes for entrees. People who arrived after us ate and finished before we got our food. The food was good, but you could tell it was rushed. The mussels apps were amazing however as was the bar service.
