The mussels and frites are fabulous!
It was my first time here and I brought my daughter. We love it and will come back.
Service was great! food was delicious. able to make a reservation for brunch, looking forward to trying this restaurant for dinner. would definitely recommend.
Traditional French cuisine, fresh ingredients, beautifully presented and delicious. Ambience feels a little faux French but it's in good taste and easy on the eye. The wine list was small but very good. Only one problem: after I indicated the wine we wanted, a very nice Cabernet for $37/bottle, the waiter asked, "Are you sure you don't want this one?" as he pointed to another Cabernet for $99/bottle. A definite no-no..
The food was delicious. We had coq au vin and the duck. We both enjoyed our meals. The onion soup was tasty and I think the creme brûlée was one of the best I've had.
very cozy booth, enjoyed brunch and the price is fair. I enjoyed the decor and the ambiance.
The food and service was outstanding. We enjoy dining here.
Food is consistently great. The best fish. The Trout is excellent and nice size portions
The food, for the most part, was good. My wife got the crab sandwich, and it had an odd sour taste. Too bad the waiter came around once every 20 minutes, so she sat and waited. Our coffee was refilled after 10 minutes of waving the guy down and asking repeatedly. Everyone that came in after us ate before us. Overall, a horribly run restaurant. This was our 3rd time here, each time the service gets worse. There wont be a 4th visit.
Favorite Long Island restaurant
Consistently good food, nice setting and good service
Love the mussels!
I can honestly say Brasserie Cassis is one of my most favorite restaurants on Long Island. Have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Tonight we took my parents out and they couldn't stop raving over how excellent the food and the service was. We've eaten there in a small group of 4, a party of 8 and a party of 20 and each time everything was perfect. If I have a special occasion or date night, its the first place I want to go to. Looking for a restaurant that you want to go to over and over again... stop looking... and head to Brasserie Cassis... you will be so happy you did!
Great food as always , calamari excellent, mussels terrific as always. Especially my apple martini delicious. All in all absolutely great.
Always consistent delivering great service, quality and delicious food. As always great cocktails and overall pleasant dining experience. Would come here everyday
Great food in a quiet environment, with wonderful staff. I would highly recommend this place.
Disappointed in the mussels (fennel and cream), lacked flavor. Quiche Lorraine and fried calamari were delicious. The warm bread with butter and pate is hard to resist.
Delicious as always
The food took over an hour and it was disgusting, cold and not to what we ordered.
Service was awful I had to go over to the manager 3 times.
Every time we eat here we have a good meal. Tuna Tartare and Duck L'orange were great,
We were very disappointed with our latest visit to a restaurant we always enjoyed. Stopped by the bar first and took advantage of their happy hour. My wife ordered a French Martini in a pseudo French restaurant. Instead of using Chambord which is how it is typically made they substituted creme de cassis which is a cheap substitute. The bartender admitted that Chambord is expensive. After we were seated for dinner we decided to order beer to accompany dinner. We couldn't decide what on which one and the waiter wasn't very knowledgeable so we asked to taste 2 before we ordered. Based on his body language we felt we were putting him out. He brought us samples of the beer we were interested in, so little couldn't t really weren't able to taste. We finally decided and ordered two beers. The Thai calamari appetizer was excellent. We both ordered muscles, in white wine and chorizo and found them to be sub par to what we have experienced in the past. I think they are having some problems. Won't be returning anytime soon. Too bad, was always a local go to restaurant for a good meal.
We had eaten there in the past & had a great experience & that is why we recommended eating there again with friends. The service was absolutely, without a doubt, the worst we have ever experienced. We will not be returning there ever again!!
Not too many French restaurants in area so a nice option. Good, attentive service. A pleasant find.
This is a hidden gem, I've driven by many times and was never aware this great little restaurant was there. Great service. Fantastic food.
Food was outstanding!
I really enjoyed the food. The mussels were of a good size, fresh and very delicious. My crab salad sandwich was also very good. I will be back.
Very good, fresh food. don't need to provide 50 characters or more words.
Always great food with professional responsive and courteous service
The menu looks really appetizing, but the food came out very bland. We've had better French onion soup at the diner. My wife and I went here for lunch, we ordered 2 soups, 1 tart, 1 chicken sandwich and 1 grilled salmon - the meal was $90...ridiculous.
First time to Brasserie Cassis and we were impressed with the food. Dishes we loved were the fried calamari - very tender and a delicious coating. The tuna tartare was outstanding as was the roasted duck in orange sauce. Will be back!
The grouper special was excellent, as was the service. However, the Caesar salad was disappointing. The portion was skimpy and it was served almost dry - virtually no dressing on it. Probably won’t order that again.
Good food and service
A regular spot for us. Never disappointed. Great service and food
Enjoyable evening at Brasserie Cassis. Great service and staff. Onion soup was a standout and the mussels I had were plump and delicious. Husband had special of rack of lamb. Tasty bread came with unsalted butter and ramekin of pate. Memorial Day was quiet and noise level was low and staff was very attentive. Great place to find traditional French food and wine selections.
Always excellent. Food always perfection. Charming decor. Lovely service. Weekend brunch is a delight.
one of our favorite restaurants the best rack of lamb
We were there with another couple for Mother's Day dinner. Our friends had the mussels and said they were excellent. We had the steak tartar which was delicious and the trout almondine also great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant .
Love this place. Feel like your in France. Food is always very good.
We've never dined here for dinner due to the unfriendly vegetarian menu. But friends wanted to go, so my kosher vegetarian husband agreed. He ordered the tuna baguette with no bacon. He said put the bacon on another plate for another one in our party. The waiter said he understood that my husband did not want his plate "contaminated" with unkosher meat. The sandwich arrives and so does the bacon on a separate plate. So far, so good. Then he takes a bite of the sandwich and spits it out immediately and starts gagging!! The sandwich was full of bacon!!!! The waiter saw the mistake and said the kitchen is used to making it with bacon and didn't read his instructions. This is not acceptable! My husband's order should have been followed. He was sickened over this mistake and did not even want to try another order. We will not be back to Brassiere Cassis.
We always meet one special couple here. Enjoy it every time. Never disappointed.
The food was excellent and the service was great as well ..very nice cozy place to eat
We were greeted by friendly and well dressed host who guided us to a comfortable booth. Table service was of high quality. Food was of high quality. Although the restaurant was busy, there was no pressure placed upon us to move it along, thus maintaining the pleasant atmosphere throughout the duration of our visit.
